Kawa Shimizu
Yonbontai-Taichou
Straight from the Captain's meeting, Kawa made her way toward the hospital, expecting the owner of the very limb encased in a box of pure spiritual energy to follow in tow. While it wasn't rare for her to set up division meeting directly following her Captain meetings, Kawa had made absolutely certain to plan accordingly when the rumored name of the Shinigami who had gone missing had reached her ears. Having confirmed the situation, however, there was little she could personally do, as it was only her responsibility to handle things after the fact. Whatever sort of planned rescue or preventive assault sent to New York would have to be hastily ushered from her worried mind by performing limb-restoration surgery.
"I'll set you up in one of the surgery rooms in a second; don't get blood on my floor, please," were the only words Kawa had spoken to the man since their departure from the meeting. It wasn't as though the Yonbantai-Taicho was attempting to appear or act cold to the man, her mind was merely preoccupied with a variety of things. Though, that was to be expected of all the Captains who held the responsibility of their division within their grasp. The woman led the man through the hospital, having not replaced the kido spell the Captain Commander had diminished with a simple poke of her sheath, assuming the woman wished the man to go through the pain of his removed limb until the surgery was completed. Through various hallways and more silence, the woman eventually opened a single door throughout the many, revealing a rather large, albeit plain appearing medical room. "Have a seat on the bed there; I'll have one of the nurses start prep and I'll be back in less than an hour."
And without even a second thought or waiting for a response, the doctor was gone to her own devices. While having never initially desiring the rank of captaincy or wishing to hold such vast responsibility, Kawa had eventually grown accustomed to her title and the duties that came with it. She began delegating various tasks, mostly in preparation for the sure-to-come patients that would inevitably be brought through her doors. A shy, quiet nurse came in to perform various preparation for surgery. While healing kido could certainly be used to reattach limbs, surgery was performed in place, as it required far greater focus and detailed procedures, especially when it came to nerve reconstruction; muscle, skin, and joint grafting could certainly be done via kido, but the initial surgery would be performed by the Captain herself, which in this sort of case, would normally be passed off. Surgery in and of itself wasn't all that complicated for someone of her skill level when performed alongside kido, though Kawa needed something to keep her mind occupied.
A patient gown was provided from a nurse who came in with some paperwork for the Captain to fill out; name, rank, so on and so forth. Various health questions were asked along with filling out the paperwork, which was a standard and likely, repetitive procedure for those who frequented the Yonbantai Hospital. When it was all said and done, a quick drawing of blood later and the man would be left to his thoughts for only a bit before the young Captain returned to his room.
"Lie down on the bed for me so we can get started," Kawa spoke softly, though a bit distant as she made her way to the tray stand set next to the bed. As Kawa began her healing regimen upon her patient's shoulder, reconstructing and regenerating the nerves and muscle tissue prior to reattachment, her mind wandered briefly as she calmly spoke in reference to their meeting. "That was quite the piece of dialog..."
