Where those guys friends? Len stood near the procession of hollows and some more fleshy arrancars walking around, following a person that seemed to be their alpha. Kind of in control. Anese had told her to go and try to make friends again, while she was looking after the sixth, but she had not really managed to make much progress in that regard yet. The people in this giant city were just so busy. And there were so many of them, unorganized, one big, chaotic mass.


She had been kind of stumped when looking for a point of attack, so she had latched onto the one thing that did at least look as if it was familiar. After the ‘meeting’ of sorts with that godking person, a little bit of normalcy was good. And the being in front of her really did look like packs following their alphas, with none of them even daring to move out of line. It was familiar, yet at the same time also very strange. She had never seen so many packs in one place, at least not without any fights. Yet, the alphas seemed to coexist rather well together, with no one displaying aggression or even annoyance at the others, only at their own pack when someone fell behind or so.


Lenneth just stood here, arms crossed in front of her chest, and watched, sunken in contemplation. Was this some kind of pack-training ground? In a city like this, a pack had to be disciplined to not fight on the streets. Maybe that?

“Alphas? Pack? The fuck?” Vadim cocked his head at the purple-headed wench. 

He didn’t respond to what Raisa said, but he made sure to keep his distance. If his sister sensed something wrong about this girl then it was likely she was a dangerous one. Or maybe she was just lusting. Regardless, Vadim allowed the purple-headed arrancar her space. 

“Whatever. We’re heading in there because we saw a bunch of slaves we want to eat. If you’re afraid to join in because of some pack shit you can trail behind my sister. Don’t be mad if we eat everything though.” 

Vadim, as ignorant to his sister’s jealousy as he was of which way was north and south, stuffed his hands into his pockets and headed towards the towers. 

Vadim’s hand twitched when the purple-headed wench spoke. The mask-bearer must have realized this, because he threw up his hands right as a bala smashed into him. He barreled into three of the human slaves behind him and fell to the ground, and in a flash Vadim’s foot came down on his throat. Whoever this well-dressed arrancar was, he didn’t really matter much. He probably wasn’t even a complete arrancar. 

“Oi, Violet,” Vadim turned and looked at her, a smile on his face. “I like the way you think.” 

Reaching down and picking up the mask, Vadim threw it into the air and caught it again. It was light, and from the looks of it, there was only one. “Raisa, Violet, put the chains on like these humans. We’ll sneak you guys in, aight?” 

With that he tied the mask around his head and approached the gate again. This time the spear remained hoisted up, and the metal gates swung open. Vadim tugged on the chains to lead everyone through, and entered into the darkness. After several minutes of passing through a dark tunnel, he came out into the courtyard of the towers. 

There were five of them, each one towering hundreds of feet into the air. Each one had a mask on it with a simple label. 

“Black, White, Claw, Tooth, Star,” Vadim called out. He pulled his mask up so he could better look. “Oi, Raisa, which one you think we should go too?”
