Kenpachi Jingu
Jingu Itokawa KENPACHI FEMALE FOUR HUNDRED THREE DIED AT AGE FOUR | PANSEXUAL FIVE FEET EIGHT INCHES ONE HUNDRED FORTY LBS SHINIGAMI ELEVENTH DIVISION CAPTAIN |
personality
Abrasive and as equally rambunctious as her squad is, Kenpachi has certainly always lived up to her name. She is tough and often uncaring, though she is not utterly heartless. Kenpachi values fighting and strength more than any other quality in life, but she does not shy away from things like camaraderie and lazing about. The only people Kenpachi really cares about is her squad, as she views all other Shinigami as weak. She may tolerate and even befriend other Captains, but respect is something that must be earned in her books via displays of strength.
Kenpachi runs her squad in an unorthodox manner. She passes all paperwork off to her Lieutenant without even batting an eye. She only cares that her members train day in and day out, and she never breaks up a fight. She does not value the ranking system of officers, knowing that a third seat could be weaker than a ninth. She disallows the usage of Kido in her squad, viewing it as a weak person's technique. She is a lover of zanjutsu and hakuda, and the only way to impress her is to go blade to blade with her and not die.
When it comes to fighting enemies, she goes for the strongest one. She does not fight them to protect Soul Society or her underlings, but instead to measure her own strength and find enjoyment. She has yet to find someone good enough to bring her to the brink of death, so she limits herself by training basic items and not exerting herself too often.
While she may be pugnacious and lazy, she is also a jokester and enjoys playing pranks on her subordinates. She also engages in gossip so that she can later embarrass anyone involved. Everything she does is for her entertainment, leaving people to view her as irresponsible and brash. However, she does mourn any fallen subordinates, though she will not save them unless they are at risk of dying without honor.

appearance
Kenpachi's most noticeable feature is her hair. She has a fire-like design in that her hair is mostly red with orange-yellow tips. Her eyes are a dull red and quite round in shape. Her skin is slightly tanned, though she is still obviously white in complexion. She stands to be 5'8" and weighs around 140lbs. She has a very toned and athletic body with a prominent 34DD bust.
history
Slashing, Jingu moved through the green underbrush of the 80th district in the Rukongai. Her hair was short and red with yellow tips, but her face was too feminine for her to look overly androgynous. Once she emerged from the greenery, the sun gleamed off the silver rings piercing her lips, nose, and eyebrows. Eyes sharp and wild, they scanned the outermost district that there was. She was almost there. It was so close.
She was almost to the edge.
This was where she had come from. The vast unknown, going even beyond the 80th district. People rarely ventured this far, let alone to the outskirts. As she neared the edge of the town, lingering gangs and criminals seemed to become more and more sparse. Still, whenever she ran into trouble, she merely cut them down. It was of no consequence to her.
Once she immersed herself into forestry again, she knew she was in Jigoku no Mori. No longer did she hear the sounds of men, but instead of animals. No, not animals... Something else entirely. Creatures she didn't know about. She had only been four when she wound up in these parts. After her human mother drowned her in the bathtub, Jingu wound up in nothing but green, surrounded by beasts. But then someone took her to the 75th district, and she stayed there for way too long, seeking for the person who took her away from that unknown place.
She was disappointed as she traveled further. It was nothing but jungle. Looking about the age of eleven, she was very tiny and not yet well-endowed like she would be in her later years. Jingu traveled for four days until the forest cleared and she stumbled upon a village of naked, brown-skinned men and women. They each carried a sword at their side, and each of them bore harsh expressions, especially to her who was an obvious outsider. As she wound her way through the village of bare-skinned people, she was grabbed by the arm and swung into an adjacent building.
"You returned, you stupid girl," the dark man spoke, towering above her.
Jingu had never seen his face, but she knew this was him. His hair was white with age, but he still held a sword to her throat. He could fight. This whole village could fight. Jingu brandished her sword with a smile and shoved him off her. The two let a birth of space appear between them. The man appeared tired and steady while Jingu was young and ravenous. She grinned with excitement and came at him, though she was struck down easily.
The fight continued until Jingu stopped and dropped her sword. She sighed and hung her head, an obvious sign of defeat. The older man frowned and approached her. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to hold back. I really didn't want to." Jingu looked up at the man as she spoke. He stopped moving toward her and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Jingu stepped forward twice before ramming her right fist into his chest, causing him to burst backward and fly through the building directly behind him. Other villagers began to crowd around her, though instead of with menacing stares they held respectful glances.
Jingu then lived among the warrior tribe, learning their different styles of swordplay and hand-to-hand combat. She outmatched everyone, but she always dulled down her power when fighting them. When the tribe began to dwindle due to the elders dying and no one to carry on the population, Jingu left and traveled through the eighty districts, seeking its center. Once at its doors, she cocked her head.
Jingu went through the Shinigami Academy without notice and joined the Eleventh Division under the then current Kenpachi. She waited until he would give her the light of day, and when he did, she killed him in battle before two hundred squad mates. She stared at everyone around her, receiving both glares of anger and claps of praise. Sheathing her sword, she frowned. "I'll be your Captain now." One Shinigami made a move to attack her, but someone restrained him. Jingu had came from nowhere. Most people didn't even know she existed, and now she stood in a puddle of their former Captain's blood as if it were another Tuesday.
