SKILLS
GREAT SPIRITUAL POWER: Yebisu seemingly embodies the oceans themselves. The spiritual power he harbours within him is great despite his size; not as great as others gifted with ostensibly infinite reservoirs, but great nonetheless. From an early age, it was great enough to asphyxiate even those accustomed to living underwater. His reiatsu can be felt as a heaviness and denseness associated with being underwater. Those of lesser standing might be subjected to nigh literally wading through it and left gasping desperately for breath; but fret not. It is a rare occurrence that Yebisu allows any reiatsu to escape him at all for its detainment was the primary reasoning for him training to become a Shinigami in the first place.
PRACTICED HAKUDA: Yebisu developed his unarmed, close-combat style of fighting to a point he felt adequate. He much preferred developing his Zanjutsu instead. He has learned the basics well enough to apply them in genuine combat since they have essentially been mastered. However, he did not expect to be without his weapon for even if he was, his next task would be to reacquire it. After all, it is required to perform his most basic of duties.
PERFECTED PERCEPTION: His first encounter with the unfamiliar was somebody wrapped in a moderately powerful aura of spiritual power. It was infinitely interesting to him since he could naturally feel others through the (in)famous sixth sense. Intelligence? He has it despite appearances. He wields knowledge one would expect a captain to possess; of battle strategy, kido, the typical powers and abilities of the demonic threat he is destined to face. He is able to unearth those of inadequate spiritual control over great distances, even. He can feel the intricacies of energy and experience them in ways words could never justify; but akin to picking out each individual ingredient composing an already completed dish, allowing Yebisu to essentially feel what the effects of a kido or ability might be as it is being performed. Yet, it is not this that composes the skill's perfecting polish.
- Hyper Exteroception
A skill with a shoddy name. Yebisu developed it when the basics of his perceptive abilities were mastered. It does not required a sensible target for it utilizes a subtle field of reiatsu to create a hyper version of exteroception; which is defined as the sensitivity to stimuli that originates from outside of the body. The feeling? Ineffable, but objects within it, their shape, their movements are felt for as long as they continue to exist within and breech the subtle field created. Advanced, yet not, for it relays only information relevant to positioning and shape.
- Lentation
And then came perfection as Yebisu transcended skillfulness in mere feeling and moved to perceive and feel things at his own pace. What information his perceptive abilities relayed him could be done leisurely as he willed his own perception of time to slow, yet maintain the speeds of his thoughts and comprehensive ability. This can slow his surroundings to the point where they appear to hang in the air; but at the same time, this ability alone does nothing to alleviate the titanic weight his body falls under as a result of it doing nothing to quicken his own body. Yebisu finds the skill practiced to such an extent that things too fast for his eye to catch triggers its effects reactively, much like the counters a mastered martial artist would exhibit.
MASTERED ZANJUTSU: Yebisu wields the sealed and released forms of his Zanpakutō masterfully. He has had ample time to do so; but what really pushed his skillfulness beyond memorized and customized form becoming reactive instead of devised was his working within the slackened, slowed-down and heavy world of his perceptive Lentation ability. He delivers blows with his weapon with frightening speed as a result and in contrast to his small form, he efficiently and habitually utilizes his own spiritual power to bestow himself a desolating amount of strength, much alike a taijiquan practitioner's application of 'jing' to physical strikes.
MASTERED AGILITY: His little form is most likely expected to move as fast as the fastest Soul Society has to offer. He has achieved a masterfully level of speed; enough to de-shimmer the shimmer out of his Shunpo, maintain these high-speed movements for extended periods and with the least amount of and most optimal amount of steps. Like his skill with a weapon, his agility owes its gratitude to his perceptive ability and its capability to provide a world that requires true, masterful skill, practice, and development of something more than bolstered physicality to move competently in.
EXPERT SPIRITUAL CONTROL: The intricacies of his perceptive ability "Lentation" that requires a delicate enhancive 'touch' to the mind demanded at least this level of dominance over his spiritual control. Not only that, but the ability to competently control and hide his presence was the very reason he enrolled into the academy so many years ago. When he gained that professional level of control where those around him would never feel the ill effects of his reiatsu, he was satisfied and moved to apply his achieved level of control to his other skills. He does display a respectable knowledge of Kidō, its varying forms, and finds himself capable of casting mid-level spells skillfully despite a lack of an incantation.

ZANPAKUTŌ
ZANPAKUTO NAME: Kotoshiro
SEALED FORM: A standard o-wakizashi with a blade measuring twenty-four inches. Its hilt is wrapped in cyan and black wrappings. The sheath is a deep, nigh black navy blue.
SPIRIT: Kotoshiro-Nushi-no-Kami; a somewhat ghoulish spirit with a long, eel-like body. It is wrapped in a scaly, deep navy-blue skin and comes equipped with fins to swim about any environment it happens to be in. Its back is decorated with protrusions that conclude in a bulbous shape of a cyan paint. A long, slender filament sprouts from beneath its chin and at its end, a cyan-hued esca that is able to cast an ambient light onto the surrounding area. Its eyes are black with white irises and black pupils.
WORLD: Yebisu's Inner World; it is an underwater city. The buildings possess a quirky, otherworldly design and their windows are seemingly forever aglow with an eerie, yet pleasantly-sedating orange light. Some of the pointed tops of the buildings pierce the water's surface and linger in the open air. However, beyond the dark depths beyond the city is an all-encompassing wall of glass, which suggests that Yebisu's inner world is, essentially, and over-sized aquarium.
RELEASE PHRASE: "Part the sea, Kotoshiro."
SHIKAI: Completion of the release phrase results in water swelling from the blade, enveloping the sword as a whole and bursting outwards to reveal a trident of lustrous gold with a pole of tantalizing silver. Its pole mirrors his own height while the three, silvery blades of the trident stretch out about one foot each. It can be considered a Water-Type Zanpakutō; one that bolsters the wielder's fighting ability through both supplementing offensive and durability with its respective element and, at the same time, hinder his opponent's.
- Shīkōto ("Sea Coat")
While Kotoshiro is in Yebisu's possession - or in other words, while Yebisu maintains constant contact with Kotoshiro, the weapon will continue to produce a special coating of water that covers its wielder in their entirety. This coat of water mirrors Yebisu's elemental affinity and quirkiness, creating a coating of special water that not only has its slippery, lubricating aspect, but instills within it foreign and peculiar aspects as well. What this means is that many attacks he is struck with can simply slip around the coat, especially spiritual assaults, as it works to push opposing reiatsu away and around him. It can become gelatinous and bounce attacks right off of him, able to reduce the damage of or even nullify some attacks. This enables Yebisu to shrug off all kinds of attacks.
The same coat is applied to the weapon itself as well. However, its aspect is generally slippery one-hundred percent of the time. It can make blocking or parrying the weapon a tricky matter since it might simply slip and slide right on by and cut into them anyway. Though, the most dangerous part of the application can be seen on the blades that appear to glow with the water coating them. Since it works to push spiritual power away, to slip through it and have it pass, ideally, harmlessly by, it makes the weapon competent in cutting through opposing reiatsu. - Kantsū-umi ("Piercing Sea")
Each swipe and stab with the transfigured weapon is always accompanied by an abrupt, condensed line of water that is expelled from the blades. Its purpose is to carry the strength and piercing power of Yebisu's attacks. Thus, it requires a physical action. This easily transforms his close-quarters combat to that of mid-ranged. However, with the calling of the technique's name, Kantsū-umi, the effects are expectedly bolstered for that one instance. Both the range and piercing effect is increased, able to move the reach of his swipe or stab long-distances.
ZANPAKUTO NAME (BANKAI): Kotoshiro-Nushi-no-Kami (事代主神)
BANKAI: Holding the trident out horizontally, he moves into a quick, resolute single rotation before calling out the second release phrase. What happens from there is infinitely sudden, forcing the full name of his Zanpakutō to come afterwards. The whole of the area is immersed in an immense sphere of water with Yebisu at its centre.
His weapon; he holds onto a poll adorned in diamond-shaped gold pieces. The bottom is dagger-like, gold, as is the head of the weapon. Now, however, in place of the usual trident head sits a large, curved, double-edged blade. The Bankai supplies for a much easier time delivering cutting damage that its prior form and despite its size, it does not slow him down in the least bit; but such is typically true for all Zanpakutō.
His armour; it manifests with his Bankai. It is, basically, sea-themed, golden armour pieces, which include a chest piece, bracers, a single shoulder piece, a helmet, waist piece embellished with a ovoid gem and a piece to conceal and hold the grandness that is his manhood and pieces for his feet. They do not cover that much of him (i.e. the tops of his feet find themselves under some protection, but not the toes or soles). While they certainly have some protective use, the design is undeniably poor in regards to coverage. The actual Bankai is considered the weapon alone, however, and not the armour.
- Abare U~ōtāwārudo ("Rampaging Waterworld")
This technique is activated upon the Bankai's release. Yebisu sits in the center of a large field of water, spherical in shape and stretching out a respectable one-hundred meters. As a product of his Zanpakutō, it does not hamper him in the slightest. It remains as effortless to move about in as his Zanpakutō is to wield. It is a different story for others caught within it. They are subjected to what one would expect from being submersed in water. They feel its pressure, their movements become sluggish as a result of its density and it becomes, expectedly, difficult to breathe. It is very much water, thick, wet, cold, heavy with pressure and enhanced by Yebisu's own reiatsu. It follows the weapon without delay, making it a deadly hampering ability.
