CONTROVERSIAL CHAUVINISM01: PIOUS BIGOTRY

The bell once more whistled as another entered the shop. Honey dew eyes peaked behind the maiden's shoulder to see a spectacled shinigami walk in. Anneliese didn't think much of it, mostly because she assumed the girl was just a Shinigami assigned to guard the human world. Hopefully she'd not stir up trouble and abide by the rules for this neutral territory. It was rare for a Arrancar to even be here, but Anneliese wasn't like your run of the mill Hollow. Going back to drinking her tea she could feel the red haired girl approach her. "If it isn't Naomi." Arzets was still cool, having nodding to the youngster. "Just a tourist passing through. Don't mind me." She spoke calmly, wondering if she'd noticed her distinctive outfit or simply was ignorant of what she was. Shuffling her black hair, Anneliese held her cup with both hands, looking into it, in deep thought. 

Anneliese smirked. "Thats exactly why i'm here. No ones Jasmine appeals to my tastes more than Arzets ." After she echoed her response she finished her tea and as if instinctual Arzets reached for the cup and poured Ann a fresh one. "Your too kind." He replied as he placed it atop the counter for Anneliese to take. As she took the warm cup into her palm the red haired girl took a seat next to her. It wasn't a problem for her, in fact it was usually just her and Arzets, another soul inhabiting the room would probably make these old walls happy she mused. A half-hearted laugh escaped Ann's lips from Naomi's words. It was quite amusing truth be told. No doubt by now she was confused, wondering what was so funny. Turning towards the girl, she looked her directly in the eye. 

"How nice to be in your care. I'm Anneliese. Anneliese Faust, the segunda Espada."

She smiled gingerly at the girl. "I'm quite docile, so please look after me during my short stay." The old man let out a choked laugh as he spoke. "How nice to be young." She wasn't sure how the girl would react, but for some reason she wanted to tease the girl, truthfully she as no true threat to Ann. Either way she was curious what Naomi would do. They were polar opposites after all. This would surely spark something that would amuse the maiden on a night she felt lonely from missing Nabills touch. 

A awkward silence followed after Naomi's quip. The Segunda looked over her visage with glowing maple eyes and an mischievous expression. The girl seemed to sincerely think she was joking, amused Ann decided to play along for now. "You got me there oh mighty Sotaicho. Why don't you join me for a cup of Jasmine on this lonely night. I would enjoy the company." While she spoke Arzets had just finished a fresh brew and poured Naomi a cup. White plumes unfurled upwards, carrying with it a sweet scent that tickled the nose.  Another sip found the cup at her lips as she turned over, leg folded over the other. Her off hand supported the small plate beneath the cup. Outside, many people passed by unaware of the shops existence, it was just the three of them.

"By chance may I ask what else is it you do Ms. Shinigami? Is protecting people the only reason they assign you to the human world?" Anneliese's inquiry was one she had mused over for awhile now, still unaware of why exactly they wasted forces on such a mundane task the Quincy performed much better. Perhaps it was to essentially cleanse the hollow soul, but in the end once vanquished there wasn't anything to look forward to. Well there was the aspect of not going to hell. That was some incentive she thought whilst she stared intently at the red head.
 

Satisfied with he reply given to her, it allowed Anneliese to gleam and inkling of understanding of exactly what the Gotei was attempting to accomplish. Throughout all her years of being a hollow it seemed that this faction was stuck deep in its own philosophies as if they were the only right way to live. Granted eating human souls wasn't the greatest thing, it could be attributed to what they called the food chain. Unbeknownst to mortals they weren't at the top as they assumed they were. Anneliese had always hated the chauvinistic viewpoint the Gotei maintained and how contradictory it could be. It was riddles with holes and filled with pious fools. She didn't vocalize these thoughts however. With their eyes meeting Ann raised a eyebrow and shuffled about upon her seat.

"My name really is Anneliese Faust. You've even heard Arzets refer to me as Ann, you can as well darling."

Another cup had been finished. Placing it upon the table Anneliese exhaled and for a moment the looking within her honey dew eyes betrayed her docile nature. "You believe hollow... are evil?" There was a underlying sorrow within her words. Anneliese never accepted the idea she or even her kind were evil. This was a grey area morally for Ann. She didn't believe they were evil, just victims of their own vices they could not escape. However she couldn't fully fault Naomi. This notion was drilled into their heads, its no wonder it was a aspect that defined most shallow Shinigami. Ann had yet to meet a person who would for once, look at it from the other side, but that was the life of her race. "Hollows are like humans, they consume what they perceive to be lesser life to sustain themselves. The only difference is humans can live without going down that route. It's all semantics, but I feel neither side is evil, but instead their ideals clash, albeit hollow's seem to draw the short stick quite often." Expressing her belief in a clear tone, she was sure to remain aloof and spoke eloquently. Right now she figured it best if she acted the fool and maintained Naomi's belief that she was just a simple passerby.

Azerts in the meantime had fashioned Anneliese her third cup. More then likely after she finished this one, she would take her leave from the One Eye'd Owl. Perhaps she'd ask this girl to take a short walk with her.

A cunning smile curled the fox's lips. A sound argument in itself, yet the topic itself presented many holes within it's complex structure. "Which is why I use the word perceive. Nothing is as it appears afterall and each side has a perspective that can be deemed correct. Iv'e lived for awhile now so i just find it to be so." Finishing her short soliloquy the maiden resposition herself in her seat, guaging the girls reaction careful with calculation eyes. "It brings me back to my first question" Anneliese stated flatly. "Do you think hollow are evil?"  Anneliese had heard Naomi's thoughts on the situation, but Naomi still attempted to shy away from a deliberate answer. For some odd reason Ann just wanted to know. The more likely answer was yes given her faction, upbringing and lifestyle; however, if she supplied Anneliese with a answer that the Segunda could revel in, things would become interesting to say the least.
