Another cold night along the east coast. It wasn't anything unfamiliar to the young redhead who pulled her coat closed a bit more and tightened the long red scarf that near matched her long crimson mane more securely around her neck. Nevertheless, it seemed this winter was a bit more unforgiving than the past few years, with record breaking snow and just one storm after the next. With the snow only falling faintly at the current moment, and the plows out in full force, businesses were still very much open, as expected of one of the few cities that rarely slept.
"Whiskey sour, please," Kira announced her presence at the bar with a raised hand as she took one of the vacant stools. Still an early hour, there weren't many patrons at the small dive bar. Nevertheless, it was a great place for the young woman to gather the information she needed at times, with the bartenders and management staff having eyes and ears over the flocking locals that often visited during the weekend hours. With the weather the way it was, however, Kira often found her favorite bar vacant for the most part... and would only come at these times during her time off.
"Sure thing, Cavanaugh," the bartender announced her name without having to look over his shoulder and began to mix her drink. "You doing karaoke later?"
"Depends on how strong you make the drink," Kira snapped her reply with a grin as the man approached with her glass. The man laughed and the two conversed briefly before the bar soon started to come to life with other locals attempting to seek refuge from the winter weather and escape from their weekly responsibilities.
