❝GREAT SPIRITUAL POWER❞ Since birth Okewa has been blessed with a very potent spiritual power. His spiritual power takes on a bright green hue when emitted from his body, causing the air in the surrounding area to become frighteningly dense as rocks and small debris shatter under its immense weight. Although not as powerful as some of his fellow captains, his spiritual power is limited by his inexperience and youth, and is still at a level worthy of a captain.
❝PERFECTED PERCEPTION❞ An innate gift present since he can remember, Okewa's sensitivity to reiatsu and his environment have allowed him to become one of the most perceptive Shinigami in Soul Society. Over many years of training he has been able to harness his skill, learning to become completely aware of his surroundings; heightened senses make catching him off guard difficult if not impossible - even for masters of Shunpo and assassination. Movements are easily perceived and even predicted by him. Okewa's reflexes are at their utmost peak, leaving him to locate those easily from the simplest look or heartbeat, even a bead of sweat or the slightest of sounds. His sensitivity for reiatsu renders the cloaking of spiritual power pointless. His skill is such that he can discern the power-level of whole populations at a time - locating and tracking low to great spiritual levels over large distances.
- ❝MIND'S EYE❞ This unique ability is a clairvoyance guided by reiatsu that allows Okewa to recall things that have happened in the past when he comes in contact with inorganic objects or surroundings. Using his masterful control of reiatsu he can give previous context form within his mind as images. He is able to visually recall everything that has happened, as if he had seen it happen before his very eyes. However, he is unable to hear anything so creating an accurate portrayal of events can be difficult. The images last only seconds but they can span several days into the past at a time. This ability consumes Okewa's consciousness completely until the images have left him, for seconds, even minutes at a time making it unsuited in dangerous situations.
❝MASTERED SPIRITUAL CONTROL❞ Having an enormous spiritual power Okewa has learn't to completely mask his own power, as his immense perception allows him an understanding of true nothingness. He leaves not trails or traces of reiatsu unless intentionally as his perception allows him to instantly recognize if he has. This makes him undetectable to only a mere few who rival his own skill. This translates to his use of reiatsu as his efficiency with spiritual power is absolute; he is capable of gathering and releasing both large and small amounts with the utmost precision and accuracy. His control over his spiritual power naturally lead him to excel in the art of Kidō Spells.
- ❝RESONANCE❞ A mastery of reiatsu control allowed Okewa to devise a strategy to protect himself by compressing and folding his own reiatsu around his form. For as long as he wishes to maintain the reiatsu, Okewa coats his body to drastically increase his overall defensive prowess. Low to moderate spiritual power becomes nothing more than a gust of wind against him. However, powerful technique's and repeated blows can overwhelm the regenerating reiatsu, forcing Okewa to use more reiatsu to mend and repair it. This technique is characterized by producing bright green light that sheds from his form like liquid stardust when struck before fading into the air.
❝HŌHŌ EXPERT❞ The art of Shunpo is a skill that many have learned, and while Okewa is not on the same level as the top-tier captains, by no means should his agility be taken lightly. His speed is captain-worthy as the keenest of eyes have difficulty tracking his movements--appearing and disappearing within just mere seconds. He is able to cover long distances in short bursts of speed allowing his mastery in concealing his reiatsu to complement his attacks, as he is undetectable he uses the art of surprise to its full potential.
❝HAKUDA PRACTITIONER❞ Okewa's use of Hakuda is nearly comparable to his skill in Shunpo, as he is still unable to contend with those of high-level hand-to-hand combat. Although his training in the art has lacked structure, he has raw power and tenacity, as his style focuses on using sweeping whip-like strikes to break defenses and using his nimble and limber youth to full advantage. His blows are often showy, but also unpredictable and highly dynamic, using speedy maneuvers and rotational force to devastating effect.
❝ZANJUTSU EXPERT❞ The foundation of a Shinigami, although some choose not to master the art of the blade, by many it is seen as the essence of being a captain and a standard of the title. This is the art that Okewa has to consistently work for to attempt to reach for mastery. His combat with the sword skillful, unwavering and unpredictable, as a single strike is able to cut through flesh and defenses of the strongest of opponents. Although not coming naturally to Okewa, he trains in zanjutsu the most frequently of all arts as to maintain a high-level of battle-ready functionality as a captain.
❝KIDŌ SPELL MASTER❞ After developing a strong level of control over his spiritual power Okewa discovered a natural talent for the use of Kidō Spells. He has advanced to one of the most proficient captains in Soul Society in the use of both Bakudō and Hadō Spells, as well as barrier and seal type Kidō in Soul Society. Despite specializing in defensive-barrier and immobilizing Kidō, Okewa possesses an array of offensive and dangerous spells too. His skill is such is that he not only possess the rare talent of Eishōhaki (詠唱破棄, Incantation Abandonment) and doesn't need to verbalize his incantations, but he has also mastered Kōjutsu Eishō (後述詠唱, Spoken-After Incantation) allowing him to mask spells by mixing incantations between two spells.
________________________________________Bakudō #63. Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes)
Raising his/her palm up to the target, the practitioner closes his/her hand into a fist and calls forth yellow energy, taking a form of very thick rope, which binds the upper body of the target.
Bakudō #81. Dankū (斷空, Splitting Void)
A defensive wall is created to protect against an enemy's attack. The practitioner creates a translucent barrier in the form of a large rectangular wall. It has been said it can stop Kidō-based attacks with power up to level 89.
Hadō #63. Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Sear)
Generating an orb of yellow lighting above the palm of his/her hand, the practitioner fires the built-up energy at his/her target as a massive concentration of energy which resembles a lightning strike. The effect has devastatingly destructive results.
Hadō #73. Sōren Sōkatsui (双漣蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)
An advanced form of Hadō #33. Sōkatsui, it has twice the effectiveness. Generating blue energy with his/her index and middle fingers, the practitioner makes a pushing motion with both of his/her palms to push the gathered energy toward the target in a concentrated blast. It is essentially a doubled version of Hadō #33. Sōkatsui because the user fires two bursts of blue energy with much greater potency than the single shot variety.
Bakudō #39. Enkōsen (円閘扇, Round Lock Fan)
Using either both hands or his/her Zanpakutō in a blocking motion, the practitioner generates a dull yellow energy, which takes the form of a large spinning disk of condensed Reiatsu, in front of themselves, blocking an opponent's attack.
Bakudō #62. Hyapporankan (百歩欄干, Hundred Steps Fence)
Generating a blue-white glowing rod of energy in his/her hand, the practitioner throws it at the intended target. It multiplies into a hundred more rods, which rain down on the target and pin him or her against a solid surface, completely immobilizing them. It is hard to dodge in a small area.
Bakudō #73. Tozanshō (倒山晶, Inverse Mountain Crystal)
As the spell ignites at a single point, blue energy extends upward to four points and forms an inverted pyramid, which solidifies into a barrier around the caster. The spell is usable around other already active spells.[1] It can be used to trap others inside of it.
Inemuri (威眠, Forced Slumber)
As the practitioner holds their hand in front of their victim's face, the victim's pupils dilate several times before they fall unconscious.
Bakudō #21. Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Escape)
As the practitioner places the palms of their hands down on the ground, red smoke bursts forth from the point of contact, swiftly engulfing the surrounding area and briefly obscuring the movements of whomever is within the smoke, allowing for a quick getaway.
Bakudō #79. Kuyō Shibari (九曜縛, Nine Sunlight Traps)
The practitioner creates eight black holes with purple outlines which emit spiritual energy in the space surrounding the target, with the ninth black hole manifesting itself in the center of the target's chest, with the intention of immobilizing the target.
Hadō #33. Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Blue flames discharge from the palm.[1] The practitioner aims the palm of their hand at their target and generates a torrent of blue energy before firing it at their target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy, depending on the amount of power which is placed into it.[2] Depending on the user's proficiency with the technique, it can damage an opponent's Bankai.
Roppō Fūjin (六方封陣, Hexagon Seal Array)
A 3-dimensional, horizontal and vertical cross-shaped green barrier forms around an opponent, sealing them inside.
Hako Okuri (匣遺, Farewell Box)
Sealing an object inside of a box-shaped orange barrier, the practitioner teleports the box wherever he/she wishes it to go. It can even transport the object within another object, like another person.
