It seemed the fight though only just begun was about to be rushed into its final act. The espada was calling foul and threatening to strike out the entire city if he didn't get what he wanted. There wasn't much time left for Shi'Kuyo to dawdle or answer King's inappropriately timed inquiries. Cutting around the battlefield to avoid getting caught in the immanent strikes of the two still fighting captains, the Commander's shunpō eventually carried him to where the third was.
Seta still had on the 'braveface' but anyone any good at spiritual control could tell he was out of it. It would be no good if a captain was left on this battlefield vulnerable for what was next. It was well within his power to get the swordsman back on his feet without much delay from backing up the other captains, so he did so.
He laid a hand on the shoulder of the white haired captain. "Hold still for a second." Starting with the influx of the kidō's energy Seta would slowly begin to feel his stamina returning and his capacity to heal increased, along with remedies for the pain. It wasn't much but it would get him moving again. Plus the release of endorphins and dopamine in his brain would likely take off whatever edge he was likely to be feeling. That was good, because he had words for the captain that some of their more egotistical peers might have taken offense to.
"You've done your part already Juusan-tai... Seta-san. I won't tell you to go back." Taking to the skies once more he opened a senkaimon gate for the captain to follow through. "I'll only remind you that if you can't keep fighting, staying means you'll only eventually be in the way."
With two attempts to come to an understanding ignored and then the release of zanpakutō followed by the threat of execution of the city, the espada at this point was asking for trouble, even if this wasn't just a random act of assholery. Shi' mused that might have insulted the guy a little hastily but it was clear now any audience with the cero espada would come at too high a price. He would give up his own zanpakutō at a chance to keep the peace, but he wouldn't give up hundreds of thousands of lives in the most spiritually dense part of the mortal realm at a chance to keep the peace.
He moved to back up the other captains. He really had hoped for a better ending to the situation than this. Everything had turned to shit so fast.
