Oda's Abilities.

GREAT SPIRITUAL POWER; Naturally, Sora boasts spiritual energy that could easily rival other captains within the Gotei 13. He is not afraid to flex his control when facing enemies, but prefers - for most scenarios - to keep it on lock. His spiritual power is potent enough to cause tremors and bring those who rarely experience such force to their knees. In addition, when fully released his spiritual power has the added ability of darkening the area around him within ten meters, even if outside. Usually, however, Sora bottles all his power within him and is rather proficient at it, too.

PERFECTED PERCEPTION; One of the main reasons for him flying through the academy is Sora's extremely high intelligence and perception. He is gifted with near genius level intellect, and his shrewd mind has played a major role in his ascension as a Shinigami and the new head of the Research and Development Institute, as well the the twelfth division. His astuteness is also especially beneficial when it comes to battle for Sora prides himself as a strategist, whom is capable of deducing the power, abilities and strengths of his opponent as well as come up with an effective strategy to combat them on the spot. 

MASTERED SPIRITUAL CONTROL; Sora's control over his spiritual energy is quite prodigious, allowing him to near completely mask his spiritual energy whenever he truly needs to. His control over it is so precise that he is able to conjure, manipulate, and cast kidou of various strengths and nature as if it was second hand nature. On top of that, he is also gifted enough to not have to worry about overpowering his attacks with his energy, leaving him with the ability to carefully conserve and use it wisely.

• Jūgeki Byakurai - A modified version of Hadō #4. Byakurai. Unlike its unmodified counterpart, this spell takes the appearance of a red beam powerful enough to pierce through a durable foe, such as Sōsuke Aizen, from a considerable distance.
  
• Raikōhō - Generating an orb of yellow lighting above the palm of his/her hand, the practitioner fires the built-up energy at his/her target as a massive concentration of energy which resembles a lightning strike. The effect has devastatingly destructive results.
• El Escudo - As the practitioner raises their arm, a light green barrier is summoned to block an incoming attack.
• Kurohitsugi - Kurohitsugi is a high-level Kidō which seals its target in a black spiritual coffin. The practitioner generates purple/black spiritual energy, which envelops the target with a powerful torrent of gravity before taking the form of a box of black energy.
  
• Dankū - A defensive wall is created to protect against an enemy's attack. The practitioner creates a translucent barrier in the form of a large rectangular wall. 

HAKUDA EXPERT; This is one of the areas Sora has notably perfected over the many years of being a Shinigami. Hes capable of holding his own against most combatants, and his swiftness, grace and intelligence as a fighter only serve to further increase his strengths in this department. Because of this hes near deadly when it comes to hand to hand combat, with him being able to take out enemies with just his fists.

ZANJUTSU MASTER; Fueled by his already potent hand to hand ability, Oda is naturally gifted when it comes to fighting with his Zanpakuto. While more inclined to use carefully crafted tactics as opposed to fighting with his sword (To preserve his otherwise low profile), his skills in Zanjutsu is by far one of his strongest traits, if not the strongest. He has trained night and day for near two decades perfecting his aspect in his arsenal, and as a result is capable of using his zanpakuto with blinding speeds and accuracy.

HŌHŌ EXPERT; This is one of the field's Sora has taken the time to craft and increase his skill over the many years. During his early years as a shinigami, he struggled when it came to using shunpo and it's many variants, but has notably increased his skills in the department to the point where he would consider himself an expert, but still have plenty of room for improvement.
