SKILLS
Spiritual Power [High]
When Heiji fought the Kenpachi as a little kid, the man felt as though he'd felt the spiking of something great. Whatever he believed to have felt, it got buried deep within Heiji's core as the result of him assuming a more monk-like personality. A High amount of pressure being the 'only' amount he's summoning forth these days.
Zanjutsu [Master]
If there's one thing the people in the 11th can do, it's cutting. Even though he's only a fukutaichou, he had a fighting history with the former Kenpachi for over fifty years. He's learned all about handling a blade, true style and free-style improvisation. Regarding swordplay alone, Heiji can go toe-to-toe with a master.
Hakuda [Expert]
Since kidou is looked down upon in the 11th, what other skill is there to master next to sword-fighting? Be it a kick, a grapple or a fist shoved into the opponent's face, Heiji does it all. His style dangerous, as it combines two unlike brothers... his style is as refined as it's brutal, fitting of a Juuichibantai member. He is faster than other opponents who have focused their time learning spells. His physical speed is impressive, even without the use of Shunpou, as is his super-human strength.
Houhou [Practioner]
He knows it. He uses it. But sneaking up on people is a shit thing to do, and the 11th leaves that cowardly tactic to Nibantai goons or other dirtbags.
Spiritual Control [Practioner]
Not really. He has no use for hiding his prescence, but the overall concept isn't lost to him. No use of kidou, what's o'ever. Them kidochous can do that.
Perception [Expert]
Accute instincts, gut-feeling. Such things can't be trained. You have to feel them. And even without studying the laws in the books, 11th members know how to feel a fight and read the course of battle. Even though, they'll be too stubborn to pull out, regardless if it's going bad.
ABILITIES
Ikkotsu [Single Bone]
Hakuda. A powerful forward punch. The kinetic impact of the fist is powerful enough to damage an Arrancar's Hierro. Furthermore, it can send them flying through a wall.
Raiōken [Thunder King Fist]
Hakuda. A serial application of chained fist strikes. Works best on pinned targets. The relentless hitting of the same area can tear through armour and leave that lays beneath vulnerable, assuming it managed not to get turned into mush.
Oiuchi [Pursuit Attack]
Zanjutsu. This technique is a ranged cut. When an opponent is prone to dodging, the Shinigami may focus their energy into their blade, giving a powerful slash. As a result, the slash will travel through the air, chasing their victim by a few yards, resulting in a surprise with a threat range longer than their blade should be able to reach.
Ryōdan [Bisection]
This might appear like a simple principle of sword fight, but in the thuggish environment of the 11th, pure style is sometimes forgotten about. Touching their blade with both hands and assuming a secure stance, the Shinigami slashes their opponent in two, making full use of their strong stance.
Tachiyari [Sword Lance]
Aiming to stab an opponent, the user releases spiritual pressure from behind their elbow, propelling their sword into the opponent like a missile.
Nigiri [Two Cut]
A high-speed cut that is executed with a single blade. So fast, however, that it appears the user used two swords.
Yaibasame [Blade Rain]
Throwing themselves at an opponent, the user attacks with reckless abandon and throws a relentless streak of stabs at the victim to overpower them with a shower of threats. It forces an opponent on the defense, only a skilled fighter can neatly switch back to offense.
Yaibaheki [Blade Wall]
A defensive technique, the user swings their sword in a swift, weaving rhythm to deflect projectiles, even a hail of them. This makes countering difficult, however, everything being focused on defense.
Senpuu [Whirlwind]
Effective against formations of opponents, the uses spins along the way to turn himself and his blade into a whirlwind of cutting and fury. It's hard to aim within this form, for obvious, spinny reasons. Therefore, an allotment of multiple opponents serves them at best, as do tight spaces... anywhere they can't miss.
Fuumagiri [Demon-Wind Cutting]
This technique requires something that can be used as a projectile. By slicing across its surface, a thin layer will be created, like a shuriken. This improvised procectile then travels toward the target, gaining speed thanks to riding the current of the slash. With a sufficient amount of cuts, this can be chained.
Oushikyaku [Ox Stomp]
Ability to read an opponent's movements is required for this technique. The next time they attempt to exploit their speed to appear at the user's back, the user counters by sending a prediction-based kick backwards, knocking the air out of their lungs.
ZANPAKUTOU
Raijin [God of Lightning, Storm and Thunder]☨
Raijin's one of those swords. Ever since Heiji awakened it, it's been in Shikai, thus, it has no release phrase. Furthermore, it fused with his body. Forming a ring at his back, it continiously produces electricity which adds to his spiritual pressure, but turns hiding into a pointless attempt. Quite literally, the continously released Shikai transformed Heiji into a walking bolt of lightning, or something more akin to a dark cloud, considering his electricity generation is infinite.
The blade itself is a nodachi, a long katana meant for hacking and slashing. It is stored within the ring. If Heiji wills it, the ring produces a bolt of energy, from which the blade appears in his hand. The blade seems to be connected to the ring via a continous steam of electricity, something Heiji can use in the fashion of a rope. Lastly, he wears golden armguards, they are also part of his Shikai.
Even though it has offensive potential, Raijin is more akin to an armour-type Zanpakutou, an armour so firm it fused with the wielder of the sword.
Raijin no Yoroi [Thundergod Armour] #1
Passive Shikai. Steadily generating electricity, Raijin discharges it into those who would attack Heiji. The amount of electricity exuded can range from paralyzing overflow to bolts of such intensity that attacks pointed at him will be thrown off course. Conducting things are more likely to receive a shock, making coming at him with a sword a rather foolish way of doing combat. Yoroi can absorb electricity and the friction that results of two spiritual attacks clashing against one another, resulting in empowerment for Heiji.
Raiden [Lightning Transmission] #2
Serving as not only a generator, the ring on Heiji's back can sense other sources of electricity and vibrations. He can use this vibration sense to listen to far-away-conversations or as a means to empower his own voice upon areas far away, quite as though he howled with a voice of thunder. Sensing attacks the moment they begin allows him to better dodge or reply.
Raijin no Houkou [Thunder Growl] #3
Swinging his blade, Heiji can create a static explosion. This thunder-like wave of energy will travel forward, and devastate the immediate area before him. The range of this slash is about fifty yards. Blunt damage.
Raijin no Yaiba [Lightning Blade] #4
Stabbing the tip of his sword into an opponent, Heiji channels electricity through them. Much more potent than Raijin no Houkou, for obvious reasons, the surging electricity will keep on flowing until his opponent ceases physically touching Heiji's blade. It can literally cook them from the inside. Heiji's not affected, due to the generator ring on his back.
