NAME: Seiryuū, Raito

ALIAS: Rai, Tetsueiryū, Dragon God

AGE: 125, but looks like he's in his early Twenties.

APPEARANCE:

Raito is a tall and muscular young man with long, spiky black hair, which is usually kept slicked back, revealing his forehead. He has red eyes (initially portrayed as green) with slitted dark pupils, and has no visible eyebrows. Most of his exposed body is covered in sets of simple, round studs. The most visible studs are on his face, with three of them above each of his eyes (acting as "eyebrows" of sorts), three on each side of his nose, and two on his chin, just below his mouth. His ears are adorned by two sets of five earrings each.  He also sports four studs on each of his forearms, with his right one being covered in scars

PERSONALITY: Raito takes silence and solitude as his refuges preferring to keep his silence unless the situation calls for his words. The loneliness which he persistently delves in results in a lack of casual friends. However, it does not prevent him from attaining extremely trustworthy and loyal acquaintances can be seen in the form of his Kidoshuu Captain, ShiKuyo Tokomaru. Although hooded by his innate nature of solitude, Raito is not one without compassion, helping those in need, especially those who are close to him. Even though he does help people from time to time, he despises those who are persistently dependent on others, seeing it as a sign of weakness.

Raito has been taught to fiercely believe that only the strongest and finest men will continue to exist, and those who are weak and frail will cease to live on. His unforgiving logic however, does not apply to children, elderly, and women. With that point taken, Raito is easily one of the most hardworking individual in terms of perfecting his arsenal of combat skills. He envisages the battlefield as a place of enjoyment and obtains massive satisfaction for achievements within the combat zone.

Contrary to popular belief that Raito is insensitive and without feelings, he is actually very sharp in the social department and knows how to choose his friends. He deduces personalities well and can pick out people’s strengths and weaknesses with ease, thus controlling social situations very well.

Raito fights intelligently during a battle. Being able to deduce and analyze his opponents’ approach almost instantaneously is one of his fortes. He usually ends up gaining a certain edge over his opponents before they can even realize it. Raito prefers speed over brute in battle as he absolutely hates to be on the sidelines instead of up front. He will try his best to avoid hits, although at times he will tread upon the reckless route and take hits head-on, just to create easy openings. When angered, Raito becomes a very violent and destructive fighter, and will stop fighting tactically. He tends to go easy on a strong opponent if he has the upper hand so he can go all out. Although Raito seems all fun during a battle, he has a serious side when he fights for a reason.

ALLIANCE: House Seiryu, Omnitsukido

HISTORY: Raito Seiryu was born within the noble house of Seiryu. One of the very few houses that were well known for their results from being top level Shinigami. He was raised under the scrutiny of his siblings: Itada and Sasuga. Those two were well known in their exploits throughout the academy and so the same criteria was upheld for Raito as well. However, this was one thing that didn't bother the prodigy. He put on a massive display of skills as he trained in the shadows of his brother's greatness. Solitude seem to be his strongest point when it came to him training to overcome his brother's own credentials.

Rai Rai's term in the Shino Academy was one to be remembered. He proved to be as skilled or even better than his peers from the Seiryu House. The clan was proud to have another who could prove the strength of such a noble house. They were pushing out warrior's left and right, but few came as talented as the two before him. He always found himself working up in their shadows, but that also allowed him to even surpass them in certain fields. He found himself very skilled with kido, but also his skillset was better suited to take down opponent's quickly without giving away his position. One could call him a natural assassin of some sorts.

When graduation was upon them, Rai decided to join the Omnitsukido and found himself being one of the most prominent members of the group. His ability to handle high risk situations came with ease as his focus went without question. He would be paired with Shikuyo Tomonaka, who was impressed with his work as well. He saw the latent potential that hadn't even been fully realized, but Raito continued to push himself harder and harder. He had a knack for gaining a understanding of any given situation and then to further find his station among his peers. The two grown to know one another and rarely discussed things about Itada, but it was somethings that Raito wanted to know about them.

Those tidbits of information would have to wait as he saw his friend ShiKuyo be raised up to the position of Kidoshuu Captain. It was pretty sweet to know someone who had come from the same place as him as well. Now, he was left with handling all things by himself, but eventually the tide will turn and another Seiryu would etch his name in the history of Soul Society. However, it would all be on his own terms. ShiKuyo had already told him that possibly the Kidoshu could make him stronger while giving him more freedom.  There was more that was told to him, but it would have to wait.  For Raito's story had just begun.  This begins the "Chronicles of Raito."
