Phoebe was a bit anxious and worried - maybe even a bit paranoid. She opened the shadow in her regular attire as she prepared to go out and meet Ezelrik. He was the one who wanted to exercise nothing but the utmost discretion so that he wouldn't be punished and she wouldn't be attacked. Though, as she never ceased to remind him, she wasn't going to die without killing multiple enemies beforehand. His letter, with surprisingly disgusting hand writing, described where to meet in the white dunes of Hueco Mundo. The moment she left her shadow, she suppressed her spiritual pressure until it was comparable to a rat hollow before she took off. 

Using Hirenkyaku while she was suppressing was a bad idea, so she just ran as fast as she could. It felt nice with the breeze running through her hair, before something abruptly hit her and she slowed down. Even with her not having a noticeably high spiritual pressure, wild hollows should have been roaming. She had failed to see even a single one which meant that they were scared and hiding. Steeling her nerves she arrived at the site and, to her chagrin and correct guesses, someone else was waiting for her.

"Another Espada wanting me dead, I presume? What can I help you with?"

He seemed to regard her very closely by the way his eyes slowly opened and how they lingered on her. This very act tensed up her muscles, though she made no immediate moves. The fools of war were those who waged it before even knowing who their enemies were. She allowed herself to look him over and decided that he was most definitely an Espada. Though not releasing the bulk of his spiritual pressure he was obviously stronger than Ezelrik. 

"And yes to those who aren't among you often, it would be a large and hefty presumption. But I have a feeling we both know that, in the end, I'm right. Your number is the only mystery to me. As for sitting next to you, well, I don't feel like being killed tonight and I have no real reasons to trust you. In fact, Quincy law says I should decimate you. Now - what do you want with me?"

Phoebe watched the man with curiosity as she refused him, and he seemed to down his liquor like water. Without much dialogue he looked at her again and seemed rather pensive. Had it been Ezelrik he'd bee exasperated, if it was Alaster he'd have already attacked her. This man was more patient, but there was still something about him that made her uneasy. But, from her deductions, he seemed genuine enough and so she sat near him. Taking a glass, she poured it for herself. A second of indecision before she downed the liquids. She figured asking him who he was or what he wanted a third time was going to be fruitless - she'd just save her breath and her energy.

Phoebe was nothing if not perceptive, and the mood changing was not something that surprised her too much. She wasn't someone who dived into danger without preparing herself. Should he strike out against her he'd find various lines upon her skin as her Blut Vene defended her. Thorough as always, she regarded him very closely. He did catch her off guard, however, with one of his questions.

"Lord Espada? Who's that?" she blinked in confusion. Was that like their captain commander? Or was he referring to a specific Espada?

Everything happened so fast and, had she not been ready and as perceptive as she was, she would've been dead. Thanks to her Blut and her speed, she easily escaped damage, and lifted herself off her feet with her Hirenkyaku. Sighing, she shook out the Cross from within her sleeve and formed the pistol in her right hand. Using Hirenkyaku she backed up further, for a distance of ten meters, as she kept her pistol ready and aimed. She was on the defense and in enemy territory, though at an advantage due to the overwhelming amount of Reishi for her to absorb. If he thought he was going to kill her easily, then he was sorely mistaken.

Her face betrayed absolutely no emotions as she gripped her right arm with her left and pointed her gun at him. Points of energy and a ribbon of blue energy connect with the muzzle of her gun, powering up her technique. Staring daggers at him, she would give him no satisfaction with answering his questions. He was trying to distract her, take advantage of her the moment she paused to think of something to say to him. It was all for nothing, though, he had made a fatal error. The moment he spoke of Ezelrik in negative terms was the moment he lost the privilege of her cooperation.

"Licht Regen." And then a hundred of her condensed reishi bullets would fly forward at the man. She knew that he wouldn't be harmed by it, but she had to gauge his reaction and his power. She wasn't going to waste unnecessary amounts of energy and techniques on him. For now, however, he had gained her attention and her wrath. 

He had deflected her bullets just as easily as she had predicted, if not even more so. But she wasn't done yet, and if he had thought she was then he was nothing short of a fool. He still attempted to get her to speak, but she would not have any of it. Reishi gathered at the tip of her gun, faster than it normally should have, and she fired off an immense beam of energy at him. This time, she didn't give him the luxury of knowing the name of the attack. He was nothing more than a stepping stone that needed to be submerged in the waters and forgotten in the cold void of time. Her eyes, usually green and bright, were dull and almost appearing to be gray.

A true testament to how angry she was and how badly she wanted him to die. Though, since he was reading reports of her, he'd know that she was almost never like this. She kept her Blut Vene ready in case he came in for close combat, but she was growing weary. If things kept up, she'd have to use her gift against him.
