EASTERN RUKONGAI
TWENTY MILES FROM SEIREITEI
What makes a criminal? Is it a seed of evil given to a soul at the moment of its creation or is it something that a moment of doubt gives birth to? No matter the explanation -- the fact that a crime had been committed could not be denied.
There were four men of different standing. They had stolen from one of the noble houses and in a turn of events, had been forced to leave Seireitei, considering running away to be the only deed capable of brining them salvation.
As much as these men had stolen and taken away... Were they truly the greedy demons they were made out to be, or had they simply been unable to realize the difference in the class system? True greed was in the heart of those noble elders who had sent their dogs, the Onmitsukidō, to hunt and elminate the four men.
They would not even be given the proper handling of a swift execution. They would be hung on the walls, or displayed in some other way. For how dare could the commoners be to mess with the power of one of the noble houses?
As it often happens, these sinners had found God -- in the form of the Juuichibantai's fukutaichou. Whatever had transpired between the group of four men and him, they sat face to face and talked about the grace of God and salvation.
Whoever had been sent to chase these men would find they had already been caught. But had they? The gathering seemed spiritual, the LT armed with not so much as a sword or even the intention of subduing them.
"You have come to the right source, Brothers. I can tell God about your sins. Let us ask him what judgement he deems worthy. The agents of the martial world cannot hope to argue with the law of God.."
