NAME: 十三束 雫 (Tomitsuka Shizuku)
ALIAS: Kidōshū no Ningyō (Mermaid of the Kidō Corps)
RACE: Shinigami.
AGE: 203.
AFFILIATION: Seireitei, Kidōshū.
DIFFICULTY SETTING: Medium.
APPEARANCE: Shizuku is, bizarrely for her race, a mermaid. Shizuku has dark blue hair and eyes, as well as small fins in the place of ears. Her upper body is that of a curvy, busty lady. When off-duty, she wears a frilly green leaf-patterned kimono which fades to teal at the bottom. In the place of legs, she has a long blue-grey fish tail ending in two large fins.
PERSONALITY: Shizuku displays a polite and friendly personality. However, she gets easily flustered and falters, usually if someone asks her inquisitive questions. She is quite the bookworm, or rather, scrollworm. She likes art and practices calligraphy. She is creative, believing that, no matter the task, there are at least one hundred methods to accomplish it.

HISTORY:
Shizuku was originally an unnamed Plus Soul of a baby who died in an accident in a hospital. Of course, as the story of most people in the Soul Society go, she was found by some Shinigami and sent to the Soul Society. She appeared in one of the western districts, and was adopted into the Tomitsuka family. There, she was raised, and, like the story of the typical shinigami, discovered her gift of spiritual power. She was then promptly enrolled into the academy. There, she discovered her talent for Kidō, but it went largely unnoticed.
Finally trained, she stepped into Seireitei for the first time as a freshly trained Shinigami. Application papers in hand, she set off in search of a division to apply to. Obviously, Shizuku did not know her way around Seireitei very well.
First, she came by the Eleventh Division, but their heated fights were too much for her to handle.
Second, she found herself at the Thirteenth Division, but the person tending to the register was asleep.
Third, she stopped by the Fourth Division, but she felt their job was not suited for her.
By now the sun was setting, Shizuku was lost, and she was exhausted from blindly walking across what felt like the entirety of Seireitei. It was here that she had stumbled into the Twelth Division.
With her energy completely drained, she climbed onto what looked like a lone bed in the middle of nowhere, and fell asleep.
And that was a bad idea. She wasn't sure what happened then, but she must have accidentally replaced something or someone that used to be there, that was meant for an experiment.
Because the next thing she saw was a vast library of books and scrolls, and standing in front of her was a girl. She had long, flowing hair of lavender and was completely bereft of clothing.
Staring at her, the girl donned a pair of glasses.
"What does this world mean to you?" She asked.
"I... don't know." Shizuku was at a loss for words.
"Is there anything in this world that means something to you?"
"I'm.. an art and literature person, I guess." Shizuku struggled to find an answer.
Sighing, the girl walked up to her.
"Very well. You may be a god of death, but right now you are as close to 'dead' without being 'dead'." The girl spilt the beans.
"And how am I supposed to get back from death?"
The girl extended her hand.
"I will wake you. My name is..."
Immediately, Shizuku opened her eyes. She would never forget the girl she met that night, but there was a much, much more pressing issue...
...She was no longer human. Her legs had been entirely replaced with a long fish tail.
"Never thought you'd wake up." A masculine voice commented, approaching her.
From there, that man took her into the Twelth Division, spending just the bare minimum of time to make sure she could operate normally again. No longer able to walk, she had to train to swim, starting with water. She had ultimately become an amphibian, able to breathe in both water and air. After more research on her body, it became clear that her swimming and breathing ability ultimately relied on reishi. Therefore, so long as reishi was present, she could live. And, as reishi is present almost everywhere, Shizuku managed, with a lot of effort, to eventually gain the ability to swim through the air.
However, she felt that she was more interested in more mystical arts compared to scientific arts. And so, after a decade, she transferred into the Kidō Corps, pursuing the mystic arts as she liked.
To this day, she is a well-known member of the Kidōshū (mainly because of her inhuman appearance). She also makes trips to the Twelth division on a regular basis for checkups and experiments to learn more about her anatomy.
