EXPERT SPIRIT CONTROL | Gareth's ability to control his spiritual energy and the spiritual particles around him is refined to the point of quarks. He is capable of creating soul silver in mere moments and has tremendous capable and subtlety in operating with spiritual powers that heal other individuals. This spiritual control has also allowed him to fight on par with others with much higher spiritual power than he does because of his significantly increased ability to focus and concentrate spiritual abilities into picture perfect techniques despite being in the heat of battle.

EXPERT WEAPON USE | Gareth is an adept at using both the sword and bow variants of his spirit weapon, and has more than demonstrated his abilities in utilizing it to it's full effect. With a bow and mere human eye, he is capable of firing up to a mile without missing, and is capable of fighting with captain class shinigami with his swordsmanship.

MASTER EQUIPMENT USE | Gareth employs an extensive and almost unimaginably creative way of utilizing any and all of the equipment arsenal in which he has access to. This extends from using any form of quincy item to any sort of unconventional technology or material, which will allow him to almost immediately identify use and purpose based on an estimated deduction within its design. In his hands, paperclips turn to lockpicks, soap can turn to explosives, soul silver can be created in unorthodox yet effective ways. Gareth's mastery of adaptation and tools is the reason he is capable of going toe-to-toe against much stronger opponents.

EXPERT AGILITY | Gareth's natural physical speed and reflexes are superb, but his use of Hirenkyaku furthers his ability to aerodynamically manuever against tight situations with an exceptional reflex skill and quick thinking that allows him to move past even the hairiest attacks.

HAND TO HAND PRACTITIONER | Gareth is a master of several styles of hand to hand combat, but is inexperienced at fighting spiritual beings with it, relying more on his other skills to make up for the deficit. Nevertheless, even when unarmed, Gareth is more than capable of disarming and fighting dozens of human beings with nothing but his hands and feet.

EXPERT PERCEPTION | Gareth's capability to scout and perceive distances as well as identify problems or faults in areas make him an excellent operative of the church. While he is useful in identifying nearby clues and is particularly efficient in deducing opportunities for attack, What makes Gareth's perception somewhat lacking to be mastered is his inability to utilize his "detective vision" in the middle of a battle.

ARMS CASULI
The ARMS CASULI is modern take on the old use of the Crossbow in which the Van Helsing Quincy utilised in violent exorcisms. It was adapted from the use of Seele Schneider as a long range crossbow bolt, but over the years, each Van Helsing member has adapted their use of the crossbow to the point in which it no longer resembes one anymore. As the 65th generation of Van Helsing, Gareth has adapted his weapon in the form of an antiquated gun. The gun carries several unique properties.

[/font][li]The gun utilizes a casing bullet of a .454 standard full metal jacket as the basis of its seele schneider, it is much more compact than the original and despite its small compartment, is actually more potent as a carrier due to the multiple advancements of the modern age which have made the ancient seele design antiquated and inefficient. The gun's rounds, due to it's reduced surface area, create a small blade of reishii which spins like a saw at 24 million rotations per second, making the power of it's seele schneider bullet 8 times more powerful than a single seele schneider.[/li][/ul]

The drawback for the power is that the Seele Schneider cannot be used as a sword, and can only be used as a bullet. As a result, Gareth does not actually call the ammunition as Seele Schneider, but instead as Seele Kugeln (Soul Bullets). These Seele Kugeln are potently fast, as it cuts through the air with little to no trouble due to the extremely high rotational force of the bullet. And the power when fired is equivalent to that of a level 80 hadou spell that pierces through "innate" defenses such as hierro or effects from spiritual pressure. The cartridge holds six bullets, and Gareth has five cartridges on his belt, although using more than two will ultimately destroy the ARMS CASULI.

HELSING'S REISHII CLOAK
Gareth's Reishii cloak is worn over his general outfit, it appears to be of some black unmentinably light material that easily sways against the wind. It technically not from any physical matter, but takes the appearance of a shrowd that is just barely heavier than air. The cloak functions as such: As long as the individual is wearing it, it can completely masks ones spiritual presence. Furthermore, it serves as a barrier against spiritual pressure, allowing Gareth to withstand the power of those much higher than him as long as he has this cloak.

QUINCY BANGLE
In true christian fashion, Gareth's bangle is in the shape of cross. It is dotted with black studs and made from the holy silver of St. Augustine's melted cross, and is a prized heirloom of the Van Helsing family.

HOLY WATER
Holy water can only be created by those who have inherited the True Holy Attribute. Those who have inherited this attribute are 'blessed' and are capable of affecting material composition and transmuting it. Holy water is a vial of water that has been transmuted by a prayer by those who possess the true holy attribute, and is a 'miracle cure' that can be consumed to rapidly heal wounds and remove harmful forces on the body, otherworldly or not. It grants complete healing, as it heals the soul composition of the body. The drawback is that holy water, while fast acting, is not instantaneous, requiring several seconds to heal things such as toxins, but hours for things such as dismembered arms.

SEELE SCHNEIDER
The Seele Schneider is a weapon much like a chainsaw, with Reishi making 3 million round trips per second around the edge of the blade.[3] The vibrations of the Seele Schneider are not just for cutting. Through its vibrations, the Seele Schneider loosens the bonds between the Reishi of whatever it cuts in order to make them easier to capture. The Quincy fight by gathering the surrounding Reishi and using them as their own personal weapon, and the most powerful manifestation of that is the Seele Schneider. The Seele Schneider is not a sword, but an arrow.

SANREI GLOVE
The Sanrei Glove is a powerful Quincy item. It is a white glove which extends up the forearm, stopping two inches from the elbow. It is principle in the use of Vollstandig and Letzt Stil.

TRUE HOLY ATTRIBUTE
Van Helsing's True Holy Attribute is an inherited power that is sealed into an individual from the moment of their birth. Gareth is the XX, meaning the twentieth Van Helsing member to ever inherit this power. True Holy Attribute is a birthright that gives an individual a closer connection to the Divine. As such, they are spiritually more gifted, as well as capable of using something that the Van Helsing classify as the Holy Element. Gareth's manifestation of this power is that he can alter the soul and physical composition and makeup of an individual, mending flesh and removing toxins from the body at will, using reiryoku. The difference between having an attribute and learning a healing skill is that while skills have to be learned, an attribute is inherently known at birth, allowing Gareth to know how to heal people since he was young.

SPIRIT WEAPON: SPEAR OF LONGINUS
The Spear of Longinus is a spirit weapon that pierced the heart of Jesus Christ. Upon piercing his heart, the spear inherited potent properties based on being touched with the blood of Christ. It is a completely solid construct and is silver in appearance. It is approximately six feet in length. Despite the rounded shaft, any individual part of this spear will slice through an opponent if they touch it. Gareth's capability to utilize Heilig Pfeil is not compromised, and is usable by directing the tip of his weapon at an opponent.

HEILIG LANZE | The Spear of Longinus grants the user immense capability to absorb the surrounding spiritual energy, pressure and reishii into the spear. The result is that upon utilizing the spear's Heilig Pfeil, the arrow is essentially treated as a giant cannon blast in the form of an arrowhead. The Heilig Lanze absorbs spiritual power and spiritual energy as it travels towards the opponent. This means that the arrow will adjust to the strength of the opponents as it fires towards them, and will accomodate their spiritual power by turning into a spear of equal power.

TAUFE DURCH BLUT | Gareth is capable of performing a baptism rite by cutting or piercing an opponent with his spear or by successfully hitting an opponent with his Heilig Lanze. Taufe Durch Blut essentially creates a wound on the opponent that never heals if they are spirits, and their spiritual power will slowly decompose into reishii particles being absorbed by the Spear of Longinus, empowering Gareth as the fight continues and weakening the opponent.
