PERSONALITY:
In a nutshell, Izanagi is known to quite intelligent. He is gifted at creating innovative creations, from theorems about kidō, to inventory that allow Shinigami to train and practice more efficiently. He is brilliant, many would say. He is, on a personal note, a very frank man who speaks bluntly and honestly. He can come off ass harsh at times, although he doesn't always intend to.
Izanagi does, however, openly call people outside of their name. He usually gives people small, but ironic nicknames that always fit--otherwise, he usually calls people who he considers to be annoying an idiot. That is one of his most common words, actually.
HISTORY
Mitsurugi Izanagi, is the name of the Fukutaichō of the 13th division within the Gotei 13. At the young age of 210, Izanagi has managed to garner quite the biography. He was originally from the slums of the 64 district of the Rukongai. He lived in an area which suffered from constant war-like bouts, as such he learned to adapt and to fight at a young age. He managed to survive a century before he was found by Shinigami from the Gotei 13, who were surprised by both his reiatsu and his skill with a katana.
Izanagi, was 120 when he joined the Shinigami Academy, which he was at first reluctant to do. Upon learning that there were many things that he enjoyed about becoming a Shinigami, he became focused and was honed into a work of at, so to speak. He graduated with impressive grades, and skill; he was immediately accepted into the 11th division.
In his time there, he managed to garner a reputation as both a swordsmen and a brawler. Despite however deadly he was physically, it was shown that his mind was the most powerful asset he possessed.
Ten years ago, Izanagi was promoted to Fukutaichō after he was moved into the 13th division. His time here has allowed him to study and develop many useful tools and regulations that assist the lives of many of the Shinigami within the Seireitei.
