Shikai Appearance

In its sealed form, Totsuka seems to be a regular katana; the proportions of the blade are admittedly longer than the tradition blade of a katana. The guard of the pentagonal, with little indentures that curve in around the guard, making it more circular. While unsealed attributes of the guard change completely.

KAGUTSUCHI ^{God of Fire}
The first and most fearsome of the abilities developed by Izanagi when forming his Shikai. Essentially, the Totsuka will burst outward in and torrent of raw, blazing fire, controlled by Izanagi's whims. The fire is generated in a pure, golden, ethereal-ish weapon which expand it's size to great lengths and reach great distances to attack Izanagi's foe. 

The entirety of the ability is based around the abundant amount of fire which is released and extends from the Totsuka. Which forms by streaking and swirling outwards in an explosion of violent proportions. Anyone hit are caught in the force of this ability will most likely receive searing burns and pains.

In terms of dealing with and fighting hollow, the Totsuka is capable of burning the entirety of a hollow, or their masks, to smithereens. The fire exhibited from this ability radiates off an intense amount of heat as well. 

In use.

Spirit Totsuka is Izanagi's Zanpakutō spirit. He is a fire-elemental liger, who is extremely fierce and demanding. Totsuka and Izanagi have a mutual bond, and they often communicate with one another. However, they are usually at their strongest within engaging in combat.

HIGH SPIRITUAL POWER: Izanagi is a talented Shinigami who is considered elite.

MASTER WEAPON USE: Izanagi is a master of various forms of zanjutsu.

PRACTITIONER HAND-TO-HAND: Although more than proficient, Izanagi's hand-to-hand skills are not as great as his 

EXPERT AGILITY: In terms of speed, Izanagi has yet to see many who could match his pace. Izanagi is a true master of the step.

PRACTITIONER SPIRITUAL CONTROL: While his control over his reiatsu is rather sharp, Izanagi has little to no interest in the usage of kidō. While there are at most two that he is known for using, it is a rare sight to witness from Izanagi.

EXPERT PERCEPTION: Known as a primary battle expert, Izanagi's ability to see, develop, and counteract moves used by his opposition is top notch. He also has a knack for noticing even the smallest of things, albeit due to his very heightened observational skills.
