United We Stand (Lucas; Fenice)

Once to the left, once to the right. Then spin around and pick a new direction. That was the kind of directions Fenice went by, and they were as good as any. She did not have much to do tonight. In fact, there was nothing she had to do, and thus, growing bored, she had decided to just up and leave for an evening walk. Was that careless? A bit, may be, but she was not a frail young child anymore, this was a rather peaceful city, and it was not all that late. So what was there to worry about?

As far as Fen was concerned, there was nothing at all. Just a soft breeze to enjoy, as she moved along through the park, causing her long skirt to waver a bit, and a clear sky up above. It would get cold pretty soon, so there was not too much time, yet she was determined to spend what was left of the day as good as she could. Or the night. She could hardly call this day anymore, now could she? At day, the park would have been at least half full of people, but by then, most of them had left, and the only other person she had spotted so far was a girl on a swing nearby. That was curious enough for her to be subconsciously drawn that way, when she made her ‘random’ decisions as to where to go, although she did not give her too much attention. There just wasn’t anything else nearby, so before too long, she found herself reasonably close, yet passing her. She did not really have any pretense to chat her up, after all, but that might change in a bit. For now, she settled for stopping in a small distance, and looking straight up into the sky from there.

She was still a bit indecisive about engaging a fellow nightwanderer.

Though there were no hollow visitors, that didn't change the fact that there were visitors for the young Fullbringer. As she sat there on the swing, she noticed that a woman passed by several times. She couldn't tell if she was subconsciously drawn there, or she was just crazy. Being that it was New York, it was more likely the latter. Finally venturing in, she smiled as she looked up at the moon and, as Rosalie swung back, she let her body hang so she could look up at it. 

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" She spoke loud enough so that the woman could here and, hopefully, would move closer and talk.

It wasn't until a few minutes later, when a man was running by, that she noticed something about the both of them. It felt so natural - so at home - that she hadn't thought to second guess it until he came along. Jumping off the swing, she called out to him.

"Hey, you, hot running guy! Wait! Me and gorgeous over here want to talk to you!" If there was someone less subtle than Rosalie, then God help then because she had no filter. Her words were kind enough, if not a bit frantic, and she genuinely did think the woman would want to talk to him. After all, what were the odds that two other people like herself, Fullbringers, would be gathered around the park around the same time. It was almost a miracle. And she could've just ran up and hugged the man for running by and making her notice their spiritual pressure's. She smiled both externally and internally, thinking that it was going to be an interesting night.

It the fair haired beauty that would stop his progression away from the group, and with his head still faced away from them, his lips curved into a confident smirk. It was a smile that would fade to hide such cockiness the moment he turned to face them, replaced by genuine curiosity though his head was repeating a different message inside, "What did I say? I'm a stud."

As Lucas met the women, he quickly and subtly scanned over them, taking in the small and acute details. Their exact measurements filed into his memory like he was reading a text-book, and even without trying, his subconscious even mathematically assumed hidden properties such as weight and anatomical differences based on diet. It was something he had no control over, a passive trait from the gift he was given. "Wow, both of them are way better looking now that I am actually paying attention..." was the only thought given, a fragment of a second that was washed away by his actual response to the girl, "Yeah, alright. What can I do for you, you and gorgeous?" His expression was inviting and friendly, a perfect representation of the earnest of his heart, even if his mind was somewhat diluted with sexual thoughts that filled every young man's mind. You had to blame hormones, really.

Well, apparently mister muscles over there did not really get it immediately. Did he not feel it, too? Her own perception was not the greatest either, but even she could feel the resonance. It was weird. Unsettling maybe. Yet, she didn’t really feel scared per se. It might be due to the weather, or the beautiful setting, but she managed to stay somewhat relaxed, despite everything. Still, she allowed the discussion about beauty to fade away, in order to make room for what was really happening. And she used that opportunity to move closer towards that other woman, in part because this all made her focus onto the weather more closely, made her feel the cold some more. In a quiet move, she simply decided to lean onto the girl from behind, if not stopped, and wrap her arms around her, as if they had been friends for a while now. Not that it meant much, she tended to do things like this rather early, if no one complained about it, although she had no problem to refrain from it, if necessary.

“I can tell, just a little. There is something going on here. I do not understand it, but I do not feel uncomfortable about it much. One of the finest mysteries, I would presume, likely linked to gifts like mine. I did not know I did until just now, but I think I have searched for others like this for a long time.”

Once more, she was a bit cryptic, but she was also quite honest. She still did not understand at all, and it was like she made a shot in the blue there, but nonetheless, that just felt right. Cozy, in a way. So it could not be a bad thing.

It seemed that out of the two of the newcomers, the girl was much more perceptive than the man. The thought made her chuckle a bit to herself, but she didn't want to make it too loud so she wouldn't have to explain and make him feel bad. The girl spoke in codes - but Rosalie loved it! She was completely in tune with her and could read well past her words, and she was a kindred spirit. Looking back at the boy she laughed and held out her hands in front of her, palms facing up.

"Let me just show you, darling." She said as green sparks filled the air and the snowflakes around her hand turned into water, that she then spread into a hat type appearance, before drinking the water and releasing her hold on the soul of the snow.

She knew that there was a technical term for what they were called, but she was not sure if they had heard of it or not. To be quite frank, Rosalie wasn't even sure if the man was truly ignorant of what was going on - or if he was just acting. He didn't help with his excuse of a "long day", but distrust wasn't something that she desired so early on. She was sure that her show of using the Soul Communication would break through and show him that they had the same powers. She then turned to the woman, who she was more conversing with than trying to explain.

"I searched and only found two others in my life. They were far more advanced than I, but...I've always felt a longing to group us together. We could do many great things! Just earlier this week those other kinds of people with power were destroying the city. We could band together, like a ragtag group of superheroes, and help those that can't be helped. Or...something like that." She laughed and rubbed the back of her head, embarrassed at how ahead of herself she had gotten.

It was then the women extended her hands, and worked miracles. He had seen so much in these past years, yet there was no way to conceal his fascination when it came in a different method and appearance. Bright eyes followed her control over the water, down to it slipping between her soft lips. "Wow..." was all he whispered, though not being pressured to reveal what he was capable of just yet. "More of the supernatural, though... familiar."

When she brought up the idea of superheroes, it would be a lie to say he didn't grow cautious. After how often he had been running around in the shoes of a vigilante, it occurred to him that they were representatives of some sort of group, aware of the identity of the hero calling himself Justice. Was he in their trap? His mind told him to leave now, but his heart was too open to what the temptress offered. "I mean, that sounds pretty cool," he admitted, as his mind flashed back to the intricate movements of the combatants he had watched. It was all recorded into the back of his mind, every bit of technique that they swung their swords. 

The second female then posed a question that he had little idea how to respond. And with a nervous chuckle, he lightly scratched the back of his head with a steady shake, "Not sure what you mean by draw, Ahaha. I almost won prom king, if that counts?" 

So he still was oh so sceptic. And thought himself funny, which made Fen roll her eyes slightly. She kept thinking about it, trying to decide whether he was just dense, tried to fool them, or honestly did not know. Or maybe all three? She could not be sure, but it was obvious that some more impressive words were needed. Said words came, and they even surprised Fen a bit. She knew of neither hollows, nor fullbring, but she did recognize that principle as the very thing she had so far called her gift. Without conscious thought, her hand moved into her pocket, where she kept her mirror, when the cute girl fled her arms. That was somewhat regrettable, but the forlorn look, as she just stood there, did not come from that. It was melancholy, in a way.

Then she witnessed someone else doing what she usually did, only in a flashier, more impressive way. Maybe that was because what she did actually transformed her, turned her into a honest to good flower girl. Her eyes were glued to that occurrence, last but not least because she really wanted to touch those pretty vines, to see how they felt, if they were the real deal. Did not get many of those in winter, after all.

But she managed to restrain herself. This was a sober moment, as someone had just revealed her most precious thing to her. She had to respect that. And pay her back in kind. Pulling the mirror from her pocket, she held it in both hands for a moment, in front of her chest, as if in contemplation. That would be her first time simply showing that to someone, after all.

“And this is my world in the mirror.”

For once, she did not say anything else, but allowed her fullbring to do the talking. The mirror floated up, out of her hands, becoming larger at first, but then shattering. It was at that moment that she stretched her arms out to her sides, causing the individual shards to align themselves around her, still growing green. Then, they formed mirrors of their own, all around her. Fenice then took one of them into her hand, hen put her other hand onto the first one.
A blush was clearly visible on her face.

“These is what we pulled out of the stone. What did thee?”
