IMMENSE SPIRITUAL POWER | Even as a child, Kariya's spiritual presence possessed a potential risk to everyone nearby. It originally took a lot of effort for Kariya to control his immense spiritual pressure especially when under heavy emotional stress when he was younger. Over the centuries, Kariya has learned to control his spiritual energy to perfect consistency, allowing him to utilize a vast array of resources with little to no issue in spiritual energy requirements.

• FLARE | This is not so much a technique as much as it is Kariya releasing his self imposed limitation on his reiatsu. Using this technique, Kariya is able to overcome weaker techniques and spells, as well as prevent any true physical damage from harming him by overpowering the spiritual pressure of the opposing force with his own. By releasing his own reiatsu, those who are spiritually unaware or spiritual weak will be crushed and very likely suffer death within seconds in the nearby area.

• DOUBLE | This is an enhanced version of spiritual pressure that Kariya has perfected in the course of combat. By intentionally displacing his spiritual pressure and masking the other side, Kariya creates the illusion that his physical presence is not the same as his spiritual presence. In other words, his physical body seems to be an illusion, whereas his spiritual pressure emulates the actual body. This is especially useful in stealth, but completely disorienting to almost every individual he combats with.

PERFECTED PERCEPTION | Possessing the shrewdest mind in Seireitei, Kariya applies knowledge, adaptability, natural reflexes as well as instantaneous information gathering and a keen sense of spiritual pressure to identify and take down a target, create a strategy, plan an assault or otherwise notice minute faults in which others cannot.

• HEART AND MIND HARMONY | Kariya's senses are not simply just his spiritual awareness, his physical senses such as touch, hearing, smell and gut instincts are far above the average human being. This is to the point that he can coordinate things such as sweat, usage of spiritual energy, stamina that the opponent has used so far, minute muscle movemets, heartbeat, emotional status and comprehension of subjects to give him a detailed analysis and prediction to what the opponent may do next.

MASTER SPIRITUAL CONTROL | Although originally one of his weaker skills, after having completely mastering detection, control, restraint and balancing his massive amount of spiritual energy, Kariya has learned to conserve his spiritual energy at a near 100% perfect rating, meaning that in no sense of any of his facets containing spiritual power or spiritual control in general will have any wasted energy.

MASTER SWORDSMAN | Kariya dueled two of the former Kenpachi as a part of his
training regimen by Captain Commander Jukan Hinai. He won both fights. Kariya is a naturally gifted swordsman, having been schooled in the art even as a child.

HAND TO HAND EXPERT | Despite hand to hand combat not being his direct forte, Kariya's close quarter's combat skills still rival that of an average captain, despite not having any particular interest in such arts.

MASTERFUL AGILITY | Kariya's ability to move at high speeds is refined and equivalent to that of the most seasoned Second Division captains.

MODERATE HUSBAND | Being recently married, Kariya has very little skill in the area of husbandry. However, he is confident he will be capable of handling it in the future. His two fortes in this field are fixing things in the house and in the sheets.
