Inner Spirit
The inner world of Hisashi's Zanpakuto is an image of both beauty and solidarity. Amidst a grassy plain stands a lone monolith, an ancient wonder. A massive white tower constructed of marble and stone. It stands there in all it's glory which is further magnified by the lack of other structures in the immediate surrounding. It's exterior remains clear and unblemished as if it has simply ignored all the ages that have passed it by; a testament to one of humanity's most pervasive characteristics. Time of day and climate remain constant, with rare exceptions, within in the inner world. A constant state of nighttime accompanied by the moon at its peak, beautiful yet vaguely ominous. There is a heaviness to the atmosphere which surrounds the great tower to serve as a warning for those who wish to approach.
Within the tower one is struck with a further sense of magnificence but also something less welcoming. The bottom room looks nothing more than a simple circular lobby though rather unfurnished. A flight of stairs is nestled exactly opposite to the entrance of the tower which one would assume leads to the next level. Therefore everything would seem rather normal until finally looking at the ceiling. The ceiling is translucent almost as if it were made of glass. Each subsequent floor is built in the same manner. Each floor adorned in a different style, representing their own unique lesson. If one were to look upwards from the bottom floor it would seem as if the tower's height stretched to infinity but this is not the case.
Upon reaching the 100th and final floor, one is met with a scene of tranquility. There is nothing that seems out of place or odd about this particular area. Among this garden of peace sits a visage of perfection, Mayonaka no Heiko(Heiko for short). A woman of seemingly peerless beauty adorned in black. Her presence seems a contrast to her surroundings but not an unpleasant one. She speaks in hushed tones which often forces the listener to strain their hearing. A dangerous gleam lies within her eyes among her otherwise unreadable face. Heiko tends to display very little emotion and it can often be hard to elicit any sort of reaction from her. Yet over the years, Hisashi has found her to be rather selfish even if she makes it difficult to discover this fact. He has found that his off-handed manner in dealing with Heiko is the best way to get a reaction from his Zanpakuto's spirit.
Zanpakuto:
Hisashi's unreleased Zanpakuto is nothing more than a simple wakizashi. The curved blade is 55cm long and combined with the hilt is a total of 70 cm long. Of course the shortness of the hilt makes it near impossible to be held with both hands. There are no etchings or marks on the blade itself. The tsuba lacks any intricate design and is instead rather plain in a standard circular fashion. He also possesses a typical black saya to accompany the blade. The rather unassuming wakizashi suits Hisashi's style quite well. He lacks any great ability in Zanjutsu and therefore rarely draws his blade. A smaller blade allows him to draw his blade quicker and use it to greater effect with his own skills. Therefore his Zanpakuto actually compliments his abilities rather efficiently.
Shikai:
In the event that Hisashi needs to enter Shikai, he first re-sheathes his blade and holds it out in front of him, parallel to the ground. He then softly chants his release phrase; Kieru, Mayonaka no Heiko(Vanish, Midnight Equilibrium)An ethereal smoke seems to rise from the saya and envelop the blade after he speaks these words. Eventually the mystic smoke settles for a moment before suddenly dissipating to reveal his blade in it's new form. Heiko takes the form of a kusarigama in Shikai, a kama attached to a metal chain with an iron weight at the end. The chain is black and approximately ten feet long which provides Hisashi with a considerably effective range. As the chain is part of his Zanpakuto it is far from fragile and can be used to block attacks from other weapons. The one major difference between his weapon and a normal kusarigama is that his kama possesses not one but two blades of equal length along with a shorter hilt. Both these changes allow him to not only attack with the weighted end but also the kama as well. Hisashi will constantly be swinging the kusarigama regardless of whether he has any intention to attack or not.
Ability 1:Hera Sareta Sonzai[Diminished Presence]-Passive
The Vice-Captain's true strength rests in his ability to subdue his own presence which allows him to sneak around, set up ambushes, or a whole number of other things. Upon entering Shikai, Hisashi's presence is further diminished by an extra 25% to those in the immediate surrounding. This ability helps him cement his gap between lower-level opponents and helps create an advantage against those who are similarly skilled. Stronger enemies will find this ability somewhat of a nuisance but it Hisashi will not be able to erase his presence against such foes. Ideally it will force them to concentrate a bit harder and make things slightly easier for Hisashi. The effective radius of this effect is 150 feet with Hisashi acting as the center. He must be in physical contact with his Zanpakuto for this ability to work. Therefore he tends to be vulnerable to long range attacks with kido or other similar abilities.
Ability 2:Mugen Ichiren[Infinite Chain]-Passive
Infinite Chain comes into play once Hisashi draws his opponent's blood. This is the reason for the two blades on his kama as opposed to one. There is a larger chance for Hisashi to inflict a wound on his foe though it is less likely to be a severe one. Once the blood of his opponent has touched either of his blades, Mugen Ichiren is in effect. This ability allows him to sense his enemy with greater accuracy. In combination with Diminished Presence, he hinders his opponents ability to detect him while being able to better detect them at the same time. Mugen Ichiren also works within a 150 foot radius with Hisashi as the center. If his opponent leaves this area then Hisashi must start from scratch by cutting his opponent once again. He is somewhat dependent on this ability and those who are adept at manipulating their reiatsu can possibly trick him. Since there are two blades, Hisashi can use this ability on only two people at a time.
Ability 3:Hitoshirezu Kumo[Hidden Cloud]-Active
Hisashi will not activate this ability unless the conditions for Mugen Ichiren are met. To use this ability he begins to swing his kusarigama above his head. Slowly a dark mist will seep from the kama and settle on the ground as it spreads outwards. Eventually the surrounding area will be enveloped in a otherworldly mist. The cloud covers a radius of a 150 feet but unlike his previous abilities, this area is static, meaning one could theoretically just run out of it without much trouble. Anyone who is within this cloud will have their presence subdued by a further 10%, not only Hisashi. Therefore it is necessary for Hisashi to first complete Mugen Ichiren before using this ability, otherwise he would be putting himself at a disadvantage. It should be noted that this is a dark mist, an unnatural one, but not a complete blackening of the area. Opponents will be able to see silhouettes or even more depending on their eyesight and how accustomed they are to the darkness.
