He was always reminded that at times you may not have your sword, and the only thing left to use are your fists, knees, feet, elbows, forehead, anything available on your body. So he took on training from the rouges he traveled with, and carried on growing as he went through the academy and became a captain. He utilizes the two skills that he created with his Spiritual Control in tune with his mastery over close quarter combat. He's taken up multiple fighting styles only to realize that it's all about reacting correctly, and finishing the fight quick and easy.

PRACTITIONER WEAPON USE | You would think a Shinigami's forte would be swordsmanship, but for Rouen it's more like something he uses only when he needs to. He can hold his own in a sword fight, easily dispatching foes of lesser skill, but when it comes to those that solely focus on the art of the sword he comes up short.

MASTERED AGILITY | Rouen likes to end fights quick and easy, and also doesn't like getting his body damaged or bruised up—hurts his sex appeal. His speed is on par with Soul Society's best. His mastery over perception also works really well coupled with his mastery over agility, being able to react fast enough to whatever his eyes or mind feel that bear a threat to him. His shunpo efficiency is also something not to be taken lightly, especially coupled with his doppelganger. He utilizes his quick speeds, weaving in and out of "existence" or so it seems, only to confuse the enemy and reappear as his clone instead.

DOPPELGANGER | His potent spiritual power, and his mastery over spiritual control allowed him to create his own technique akin to those that a few of the other captains utilize. Manipulating the power that leaks from his body, he produces a clone that gives off his exact presence and looks exactly the same as the creator. It is a fake, however has the ability to land physical blows and deal out simplistic kido techniques as long as the creator knows them as well. Because of Rouen's immense spiritual power, the doppelganger has his own supply of reiatsu that he draws from for power (High Spiritual Power). Just like Rouen, the doppelganger has the ability to lower and conceal his power to hide his presence from those around him unless actually seen by them physically.

BLUNT | One of the two skills that Rouen devised from his hundreds of years of training, and controlling his Spiritual Energy. Being able to manipulate his energy so well, he's able to cloak his limbs and increase the damage dealt when a blow is taken by the enemy. For this specific skill, Rouen simply cloaks whichever body part he chooses in his raw, spiritual energy (somewhat invisible-white. The energy surrounds the body part, and when Rouen damages or touches an opponent with the body part the damage is amplified with force that can break bones if hit in the correct spot—usually leaving an indent in the body depending on the strength of the opponent.[/font][/blockquote][/blockquote][/div]
