HIGH SPIRITUAL POWER |
While in truth her spiritual power is most likely greater then most of the Gotei-13's current Captains- she is nearly as old as the Captain Commander mind you- the seal placed upon her breast had since forth rendered her to that of a low captain to vice captain level. Despite this, however, the very fact that she's as old as she is, and is capable of such great feats of power, spiritual pressure that isn't on the contending level of the Captain Commander has no effect on her.

GOD BREAK |
God Break is a skill developed through the comparability of having a rather impressive Spiritual Power. Knowing the strains and weight of having a higher SP than what she currently owns, she understands and can adapt to it almost instantly. What would normally drive someone to their knees at her level, if shrugged off completely as if it's non-existent. While Immense SP would weigh her down, anything under Vast is seen as an obstacle or ignored completely by the ebony woman.

HAND TO HAND PRACTITIONER |

Let's face it, hundreds of years of years exiled from soul society really does a number on what she already considered her weakest area. In order to obtain Captain status or, anywhere near that strength, really, one needs to be able to show at least the basics in this field. And that's exactly what she has: the basics. Mae prefers using her feet and legs in offense and utilizing her wrist guards for defense. Admittingly she has adopted the standards Zui Quan all too well, a preference of hers.

MASTERED AGILITY |

A woman never forgets the rush of wind around her face. In order to be as skilled as she is with her Zanpakutō, speed, precision, and athleticism is a must. She is by no means no the fastest in soul society- maybe not even in the top ten- but no movement of hers is off beat. Every step is as quiet as the breeze on a spring day, and every movement as agile and flexible as the next. The areas of her uniform cut out are specifically designed to greater movement, and thus, it appears that she has no limit to her bends and breaks.

MASTER ZANJUTSU |

Mae's true calling. None feels more at home then the hilt within' the woman's small, delicate fingers. There isn't a technique known to the Shinigami- and even some that are not- Nanami has not mastered. Her Zanpakutō is an extension of her own will, having far perfected the technique of being another extension of her hand. Every cut is precise, to the point, and no centimeter is over, or underdone in anyway. The former captain's mastery exceeds that of anyone of her level, able to parry, deflect, and feint to the point where it's second nature. Nanami also has the potential to influence her Zui Quan into her fluid bladework, creating an unpredictable and deadly combination.

GOD STRIKE |
Nanami's skill with the blade in unmatched. Faster then the time it takes for a message to be sent to the muscle, her hand retrieves her zanpakuto and can parry any strike, regardless of the ample time required. To make matters even more impressive, she coats her zanpakuto in a dense form of reiatsu, using it similar to a concussive grenade and stunning the enemy. In doing so, it allows her a quick, and precise means of counter attack; striking as the enemy is thrown off balance.

SPIRITUAL CONTROL PRACTITIONER |
The seal placed upon her breast has, in all effects and purposes, limited what she can do in terms of controlling her spiritual power. Incredibly so to the point where she has nearly left any improvements in this aspect to be null and void, not regarding increasing her skill until she can at least- if ever- get her true spiritual power back. Even despite her power and age, hiding her spiritual power to complete nothing around Captain level opponents is difficult.

EXPERT PERCEPTION |

Honey colored hues, often glossed over by inebriation or sleep might be perceived to miss things when not looking, but in truth, the woman's eyes rarely miss a thing. Unlike the traditional sense of using it to gain an upper hand in battle, Nanami likes to get a read on people's feelings and personality. While she can use it to access better situations in combat- which she does, well enough to see obvious facts- it's better suited for personal reasons. Many consider herself to be a human lie detector; the audio and visual queues being as plain as the change of a hair color.
