FAI-Z3U5 Multi-role Air Command Vehicle: "水鏡" (Mizukagami)
A heavily fortified airship developed by Florencia Arms Industries as its mobile headquarters but which is now mainly used as Dante’s personal office in the sky where he helps conduct the family business in total secrecy and privacy 45,000 feet up in the sky. It is two hundred meters long, seventy-five meters wide, and powered by eight powerful custom-built Europrop TP400-FAI Customs and six smaller TP400-D3 turboprop engine systems that deliver a cumulative power output of 180,000 horsepower – more than enough to keep the aircraft afloat and stable even during the worst weather nature would offer. It has a top cruising speed of 380 miles per hour.
Designed to be completely independent on the need for fossil fuel, the Z3U5 is powered by its own nuclear reactor which provide energy to all the ship’s vital functions while the massive solar panel array on top of the ship offer an ample supply of clean energy to cater to the energy needs of the other non-essential parts of the Z3U5 such as the cabin lights, the ship-wide air conditioning, the personnel cabins for the 100-strong crew, the common canteen-lounge, and the armory.
The craft’s entire buckypaper body is protected with five-meter thick plates of ‘Florencia Counter Armor’, a special protective plating design developed by Florencia Arms Industries for its own personal use. It is made by using paper-thin strips of customized silicon carbide, manufactured in a way that their molecular structure is arranged following a honeycomb matrix, and sandwiching dilatant non-Newtonian fluid in protective nano-gel form between the strips, repeating the process hundreds of times to create a virtually impenetrable armor five inches thick. It is likewise equipped with its own state-of-the-art and heavily encrypted communication network and tracking system which range from high-speed internet connection to radar and IR scanning arrays.
Apart from the Z3U5’s incredible capabilities as a reconnaissance craft, it similarly shines as an immediate assault and counterforce craft capable of defending its assets on the ground as well as itself should it come under fire. It is interesting to note that the Z3U5 is one of the few products which Florencia Arms Industries has given an official name which is in Japanese. This signifies the priceless nature and extreme sentimental value of a certain product to the Florencia family, it being 'worthy' to be named using Dante's mother's native tongue.
