The ground cracked under Kenpachi's feet when a new presence made himself known, her anger causing her spiritual pressure to cave the earth under her. She could never just have an all-out-to-the-death fight. Something always had to fucking intervene. A vehement sourness surged through her, and she seriously contemplated taking her anger out on the entire city and destroying shit just because.
"Well, Saigo, you've interrupted my fight." She relaxed her arms and allowed her blades to drag on the ground. "But I suppose it would have ended prematurely, one way or another." Though the Quincy had armor and the ability to cut her, his cut hadn't been deep enough to lead Kenpachi to believe this was her one true, final fight. But maybe this Quincy King was who she had sought since her rebirth into the Soul Society.
When he exerted his spiritual pressure, Kenpachi's lips cracked into a wicked grin. She had only ever met one person whose spiritual energy matched her own in any semblance of equality, and that was Hinaii. This man, though, he mirrored her in power, but power alone. His energy didn't whip around like wild wind, but it crushed all the same. Her head turned toward the new voice that sounded out to her. "I implore you to put a dick in your ass and shut the fuck up."
Heiji stepped toward the Kenpachi and tried to turn her violent switch to the off position, not knowing that she possessed no such feature. Her eyebrows furrowed in absolute anger. For years, she had dealt with Heiji's blatant disregard for commonality among Juichibantai members. He was a special snowflake that didn't fit in this division, yet fit in no other division even more. An outcast of sorts, he was accepted for what he was by Kenpachi. And now, he was trying to dissuade her from a fight? From the fight that could potentially be her greatest and last? "You're a disappointment, Hattori. I thought better of you." In the eyes of Kenpachi, he had just committed the biggest sin anyone could: intervention. "Stand back and watch what it means to belong to the Juichibantai."
No one was going to interrupt this fight.
