Spiritual Power; Great
No special training was done to achieve this level of strength, Emil was merely blessed enough to be born with it. Through his life however he has grown for the most part to find it more of a nuisance than anything else. As a child when he allowed for himself to become overly emotional, those sensitive to reiatsu would find themselves ill and pained around him and on occasion he would cause various things, people sometimes included, to crack and or break. Maturing over the years has afforded him better control over his power but he finds it easiest to shed excess by storing it into ginto.Skills
Agility; Perfected
The crown jewel in his arsenal of tricks, Emil’s general agility is what has kept him around as long as he’s been. It started when he first began training and managed to dodge a stray bullet with little to no coaching or even awareness of what he was doing. It was after this that the Vatican saw to it that he was trained to an almost insane extent for a boy with his youth. Dozens of arrows would be fired at him at once and he would have to catch two while dodging the rest. Dozens turned to hundreds and hundreds eventually turned to thousands. The simplest of his movements are faster than most people could ever dream of matching.
Hand-to-Hand; Novice
Take away his weapons and power and one will be entertained in observing Emil fight. He’s rarely if ever had to use his fists in combat and it shows on the rare occasions when he’s forced to do so. Simple strikes and aggression seem out of the question for the male and his general understanding of blocks is to just use his speed to get out of the way. In this form of combat, one might as well consider Emil a child not trying to get touched.
Melee Weaponry; Practitioner
Due to his preference for ranged weaponry, he hasn’t really bothered to focus on the use of non-projectile weapons such as swords or clubs and such. He finds that even up close he would rather have a gun in someone’s ribs then trying to slash at them with a long and heavy sword. He is capable of using such weaponry for he realizes it is easier to maintain a blade than constantly exert energy into firing bullets.
Perception; Expert
Being a Quincy of moderate intelligence has aided Emil when it comes to battle. He is able to sense the reiatsu of others and pinpoint location as well as a rough power estimate although he isn’t all that gifted at sensing those who are trying to hide. On the battle he does things more out of instinct and raw talent rather than truly devoting time and energy to them. He concerns himself with the fact that something will hurt rather than why it will hurt.
Ranged Weaponry; Master
Preferring guns to arrows, Emil has had one of the two in his hand since he was but a child. That in itself doesn’t make one proficient in their use but combine that with the amount of training he had to undergo to appease those above him, one picks up a thing or two. Numerous times the young Emil would have to hit a particular hundreds of times consecutively from various distances in order to be allowed to move on to something else. As far as the Vatican is aware, Emil hasn’t actually missed a target in over a decade.
Spiritual Control; Master
Could one really be considered a prominent member of the Quincy hierarchy without incredible control of their own spiritual power as well as the little that can be found around them? Emil is capable of opening himself to his surroundings and absorbing every possible ounce of energy around him. This particular talent has on occasion been compared to a submarine with a hole in it as far as the general nature and tenacity of it. One of his lesser known talents is his ability to hide his own spiritual power. Although he finds the tasks to be more of a hassle than anything else, he is able to reduce his spiritual presence from a bonfire to that of a glowing ember that few would take note of.Techniques
Blut Vene
An aspect of a common Quincy technique, Blut Vene is the defensive form of the complete technique Blut. Unlike most Quincy of his standings, Emil was never able to master the offensive portion of this technique but rather learned that defensive basics and ran with it. Faint patterns can be seen tracing the veins under his skin acting as a signal that the ability is active. It is at this point that his skin takes on the protective properties of a dense and thick spiritual army. The technique reduces damage dealt but can also with wounds dealt by controlling the blood flow in his body and preventing severe loss.
Empörung
Perhaps the least used trick in Emil’s arsenal, it can be considered his ace in the hole. By summoning reishi and focusing it into his hands as if he were about to form a bow and arrow, he is capable of coating himself with the reishi as if it were a weapon forming to his skin. His entire body will began to glow a bluish hue signaling the abundance of reishi until it switches to red signaling the technique is ready. By clapping his hands together he will release the reishi so rapidly that an explosion occurs and damages everything within thirty meters of him at the time of the clap. The explosion doesn’t spare him however and breaks various bones in his arms, torso, and legs.
Erweiterung
By using the starwings as if they were arrows, Emil is capable of using them as a basis for the creation of blades. This is done by molding reishi to the blades of the daggers until the length reaches the desired amount. At this point it is possible to decrease and increased the length of the blades at will so long as the hilts remain in contact with Emil.
Hirenyaku
The Quincy answer to Shunpo and Sonido. The technique is performed by gathering reishi under one’s feet and riding it to a desired location. Higher levels of proficiency in this basic skill allow for one to reach a given speed while not having a superb agility. For users like Emil, mastery of this skill allows for near-teleportation over a given distance. This technique can also be used to hover or fly over long distances.
- Klon - Although it is physically impossible to be in multiple places at once, this aspect of Emil’s hirenkyaku fools most people in to believing otherwise. By moving from point A to point B rapidly, Emil is able to leave an afterimage at point A while being at point B. This is used to confuse the enemy for if done continuously the afterimage will seemingly move as if a clone. Able to create up to seventeen afterimages of himself.
- Täuschung - More of a stalling technique, Emil will utilize the appearance of an afterimage. By evading an attack at the last moment, he is capable of leaving an afterimage that was seemingly struck by the attack. This illusion doesn’t fool most however as he is incapable of having the afterimage replicate such things as blood.
- Wüstenei - By going from point A to be B and then back to A, Emil is capable of getting some interesting reactions. By moving faster than the speed of sound, he is capable of creating shock waves and getting a sonic boom heading in both directions. These overlapping booms are known to disorient and confuse those caught in the field of fire.
Spirit Weapon
By combining reishi in the local area with a Quincy Cross, it is possible for a Quincy to create a weapon. These weapons are somewhat like the Quincy equivalent to a Zanpakuto although these weapons to not purify hollows. Taking the form of a futuristic assault rifle rather than a bow, Emil’s spirit weapon is one of the more versatile among the knight commanders. By given different verbal commands the projectiles that come from the weapon will alter.
- Heilig Pfeil – Somewhat of a default setting, the rifle will actually shoot out what appear to be normal Quincy arrows. These arrows are of course more powerful than your everyday arrows given the training completed by Emil but the surprise is more so in the fact that they are still shaped like arrows. Come on now, arrows come from bows not guns people!
- Lilith – After the proper command is given to switch setting, every shot fired from the weapon will switch shape into that of a concentrated reish-bullet. To fire one of these bullets however Emil must draw in more reishi than needed for an average arrow and as such it requires more time while making a shot more taxing. The bullets are relatively dense and heavy and as such it isn’t a mode that the Apostle will run around with but rather something he will find cover at a distance with. The bullet can travel up to thirty miles and are capable of penetrating most armors upon contact but requires up to ten seconds for him to fire.
- Kaiser - Instead of arrows or bullets this mode shoots out large spheres that burst into pellets. The blast from this form is highly inaccurate over a distance of more than two meters as the pellet spread out in a cylindrical cone. Pointblank shots are just as if slightly more damaging than that of a bullet fired from the Lilith mode.
Equipment
Quincy Cross
The standard identification to one’s heritage as a Quincy, Emil’s is found in the form of a bracelet. The bracelet is sliver and metallic and has several crosses hanging from it. Given the importance of the item it is never not on his person unless someone has forcibly removed it from him.
Starcream [Mark II]
The Starscream is the Vatican's standard weapon issued to all those who could come into contact with supernatural occurrences while on Earth. Not a spiritual weapon by nature, it is a handgun by all accounts, bigger than a regular weapon, however. The ability to harm Hollows and other supernatural beings is promoted by a liquid core of Gintou in every bullet. The weapon can be freely changed between impulse fire, semi-automatic and automatic. Voice activation allows different types of ammunition and customization. It's more so a tool for a real world than for the desert of Hueco Mundo or the districts of Seireitei.
The Poseidon [x2]
The Poseidon is a unique handgun created by the Vatican and issued to all members of the combat-oriented apostles. It allows the quincy in question to load ginto directly into the clip, substituting them for bullets. It then fires the ginto without need of incantation, allowing for rapid fire spell casting. Each clip holds five ginto at one time, though the barrel needs to be adjusted after going through two clips.
Pompeii
Pompeii is the name of a special type of explosive created by the Vatican. Shaped like a grenade, it contains four ginto and a scheele schneider core. Upon twisting the top knob and throwing it at a target, it will explode with a tremendous amount of force. It has an explosion range of ten meters, and can even wound spirits that match the spiritual power of a captain-class target. Additionally, the reishi it produces burns a targets soul, blunting or, in severe cases, flat-out denying them the ability to use spiritual power. This only lasts for an extremely short duration, however.
Starwings [x3]
The Starwings are a set of daggers forged by the Vatican. They have a core of soul-synthesized silver and an edge of soul-synthesized diamond. This makes them incredibly sharp and removes the need to constantly take care of the blades. Each is about a hand in length, with their hilts being wrapped in leather. Due to their make, they can easily absorb reishi, making them perfect vectors for quincy arrows or ginto.
