So she was bringing out the big guns? Good, that was Mina’s first victory of the day. While it might not necessarily need to be true, she had seen enough series and stuff to know that villains never used their secret weapon right away, even if it would save them a lot of trouble. So when the older woman begun to pretty much transform her weapon, that actually meant something to the white haired Quincy, even though she could not directly capitalize on it. In fact, there wasn’t too much she could make of this, aside from moving on and formulating a new haphazard plan of attack. While she had never stopped, the younger woman was clearly busy herself, dismissing most copies and maneuvering the remaining one in the space above them, just in case she needed a three dimensional escape or anything. Keeping the now original weapon close to her body and upright, as to create some more copies if she needed another defence, she simply circled the other a bit, waiting for whatever she might whip up there. But instead of truly doing something after blocking the spear, that woman rather took the time to investigate Mina’s own creation, which the latter quickly dispelled as well, unwilling to give her much more insight about this, although she could not really keep quiet about her little trick. After all, it was apparently kind of special. “I am not good with genetics and stuff, but even I can tell that this can’t be cloning. But maybe you should work a bit on your eyes, so you don’t miss details anymore. But then again, you are one who only sees what she wants to see, isn’t that right?” That was her attempt the other, to goad her into doing, well, something. But ultimately, that only served to preoccupy herself, sealing her fate in a way, as she only noticed the encroaching entrapment after it was too late. She was no physicist either, but could see that she was unable to outrun this thing, only dodging forward a bit, as it convened behind her. Despite her desperate attempt to not show just how impressive this was, she did gasp a little, grasping her spear tighter. Still all the heroes on television would not give up just because they were trapped, right? Especially not with someone as annoying as this, no, they would retaliate, giving smug smirks and try to use this to their advantage. And given that she had literally no other options, Mina did the same. Ambiguous eyes focused on the figure in front of her, she allowed her lips to part for yet another short answer, as she still tried to assess the situation. “I know that the world isn’t all fun and games. But this isn’t what this is all about, now isn’t it? Even if I believed Phoebe unconditionally, you would still exist, trying to ruin my life. The only difference here is that you are way less trustworthy, just some adult looking down on me and trying to use me.” The anger that Ville had spoken off, it did show in those last word, concerning that topic so very close to the Greek woman’s chest. And yet, she tried to calm herself down, to lessen the frequency of her heartbeats, stop sweating beneath the dress. And then she spun again, this time creating nine spears at once. It was obviously a gamble, as she could hardly get any more of them, but she wanted to show that woman she could do more, to maybe even impress her. And besides, given their closer quarters, this was much about the most one could fit in anyhow, especially when she moved them to spread out, along her side of the dome, a silent threat all in themselves. “I am not as stupid and weak as you think I am. Sure you have more experience and all that, but I call swampthing on enforcing the truth. Those with power can change and shape the world, but a villain is a villain forevermore.” |
