Moving on he took control of the crowd once more. Chie was one of the best they had and her reputation in the corps was prominent. There was nothing too out of the ordinary about her promotion. Aside from the fact that it happened less than an hour ago and was only one of the 'promotions' she (and he) got this morning. For now, though it was their business only and their secret to keep. "On to new orders of business. To man to my left is one of our own. Those of you who have served this corps more than a century will definitely remember him." He cleared his throat, an indication that the next part would be very important. "Itagaki Seishiro has spent the last one hundred years trapped under the sands of Hueco Mundo."
His voice was even and tempered as he spun the tale. "Through no shortage in skill, will and perseverance he was able to survive in that world cut off from his friends and allies. Cut off from his home. He returned to us weeks ago and since that time I have personally challenged his mental and physical well-being. He passed my tests gracefully." His words became confidant with a tone force. It was opinion at the end of the day, but as Commander his opinion held weight. "He is now, as he was then; one of us." He chuckled a bit remembering their bout over the ocean. "...and we welcome him back with open arms."
He looked to Seishiro who was now wearing his mask for some reason it wasn't exactly setting anyone at ease but better they see it now than to misinterpret it later. Likely Itagaki had done this to cover his face. Was he embarrassed about his story being told? Or was he envious of the Okajima and Kusanagi's promotions? He never took his senpai to be the whining type. "That being said a startling revelation was made during our kidō clash that has lead to my next announcement."
"As of today Itagaki Seishiro is inducted into the Kidōshū once again, as our new Dai Kidōchō." The crowd reaction was loud. Having a new leader this soon was a sign of instability let alone one who most of the new faces didn't know and the old faces hadn't seen in ten decades. Shi'Kuyo clarified quickly before they got carried away. "I will remain the head of this corps as the Sōshi and Commander and for the first time in this organization's history, the titles of Sōshi and Dai Kidōchō will be occupied by two individuals." He continued. "In administrative terms the Grand Chief will have no power over other officers but may assume control of any vacant position in the Kidōshū. In such cases they will have the same authority that occupied position normally grants."
"In the case of my absence commanding duties will falter to the Vice Chief." He gestured back to Chie. "And the Grand Chief will support however they can." It was important the entirety of the corps knew the new layout from his mouth directly. "Okajima... step forward please." While he prodded the librarian to take center stage strange thing occurred. From his sleeve shot multiple blasts of Rikujōkōrō2. The six rods of binding each gathered and shattered as if they had minds of their own, as if they were a variant of the binding spell.
Shooting into the crowd the masses cleared space as each bakudo gave way to six 'boards' of glowing light. Arranging themselves like low-incline stairs the boards made a stair-path from the elevated area where himself, Itagaki, Okajima and Kusanagi stood to the mass crowd where everyone else stood. At the end of the path of light was a woman who probably had no idea how long her Commander had been watching her... "Yatsume Aibuhime... step forward." ...and how acutely his own two eyes allowed him to see her potential.
