SKILLS

HIGH SPIRITUAL POWER: Ayame possesses a high level of spiritual power, which she has possessed for a very long time. It has increased substantially since her enrollment in the Academy, and her eventual ascension to her current rank. She learned how to control and hone it so it wouldn't cause gradual detrimental effects for those around her. Her spiritual power feels serene, yet malicious.

MASTER SWORDSMAN: Ayame has over a century of experience with Zanjutsu, and has disciplined herself into honing it, as it's always been one of her preferred methods of defending herself. In terms of swordsmanship, she can hold her ground against some of the best. She boasts complete mastery over the basics and a handful of advanced styles to boot.

NOVICE HAND-TO-HAND: Her skill with Hakuda has suffered as a result of her lone dedication to swordplay. She feels she lacks sufficient brawn to employ Hakuda as well as other practitioners can, and has decided to be furthermore neglect the use unarmed combat unless she absolutely has to, which given her skill level in it, would guarantee failure against someone trained in the art.

PERFECTED AGILITY: For all of her long life, during all of the umpteen confrontations she's been through, the aspect that never failed her was her agility. Through employing it she was able to overwhelm opponents which much superior physical strength. When acknowledging her prodigious expertise with speed, she chose to devote a large portion of her training over a handful of decades into perfecting shunpo. When she ultimately achieved this after a grueling timeframe, she became capable of a myriad of feats. If she uses shunpo at its top speed, her form doesn't shimmer. As a unique capability, her expertise treks upon the impossible in that her shunpo movement can reach a speed where it leaves a brief tangible afterimage that appears to have sustained damage, before disappearing.

EXPERT SPIRITUAL CONTROL: She possesses a level of expertise with her spiritual control that could be invested in learning more difficult kido, but for now has chosen to refrain, and pool all of her efforts and training with her spiritual control in being able to mask and constrain her spiritual power. Not entirely undetectable, but difficult to detect through means of sensing, though of course this capability is usurped by those with superior perception.

EXPERT PERCEPTION: Ayame bears a keen eye for deduction, and is at an advanced level when it comes to combat analysis. She can, for the most part, discern the mechanics of an ability within a reasonable level of intricacy, and is has talent with sensing reiatsu. However, she has many peers that completely dwarf her in this regard, and there is still large room for improvement.

ZANPAKUTŌ

ZANPAKUTO NAME: Soujikyuu (双児宮, Gemini)
SEALED FORM: Standard katana; twenty one inch blade, whose hilt is wrapped in purple and black wrappings. Similarly, the sheath is black with purple trimming.
SPIRIT: Soujikyuu manifests as a fiery entity under the false pretense of two individual entities. Each appears like a humane golem of blue fiery, no bigger than Ayame, each resembling a female, and each of them, as per their name, a doppelganger of the other.
WORLD: The world appears to be the massive interior of a volcano, whose magma is blue in color. Entirely surreal, the heat seems excessively uncomfortable, but not fatal, and both Ayame and her spirits are capable of walking on the world's magma as though it were smooth ground.


RELEASE PHRASE: "Set fire to the rain, Soujikyuu."
SHIKAI: Upon reciting her release phrase, her Zanpakuto will glow blue, and split into two separate blades. These blades, however, are not comprised of metal as they (it) had been before. They're the same length as the original Zanpakuto in its sealed form, being roughly twenty one inches each, but the blades are entirely comprised of highly condensed blue flame. While these are not in possession of any advanced techniques, what they are in possession of is an extreme heat that threatens to scald even its wielder; and it does. Had her level of spiritual control been any less, containing the blades in their highly compressed form would be inconceivable, and she'd be maimed. While gripping the Shikai, the flesh belonging to her own arms will slowly be seared, and the heat produced will progressively reduce garments approximate to the blades, such as her black robes, to ash.

On the bright side, it's hot to the point where rain evaporates off of them; being submerged in water won't put it out. Ultimately, melting through whatever they're slashed or lunged through, through frighteningly enhanced "cutting" power she can very easily grievously wound and impale targets; even through the wounds are cauterized shut, and thus don't bleed.
