WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (annicka)

Although Lucas might have offended his partner, the confidence she bled about her work was enough to reassure him for a moment longer. To be honest, he had no reason to not believe that it would work, but there was a growing suspicion with a perfect track record; that stigma and fear that probability would win, and that the longer one goes without misfortune, the higher chance it is bound to happen.

When he caught wind of the small peak of emotion from Annicka, he immediately stepped into action, already pushed to his edge to get work done and get the hell out of this plot of land that seemed designed to kill humans. One long stride and his hand hovered over his wrist to summon Godhand - of course the woman was quick to halt him. It would be an exaggeration to say that his heels dug into the ground and he slid forward a foot, but Lucas would remember it that way for a more extravagant tale filled with cinematic value.

His dusty eyes followed her invention as she followed the sound, and although he wasn't too familiar with it, there was enough simplicity for him to understand without explanation. 

"Yeah, for sure strange. First impression is something that can manipulate sound, second would be something that is fast enough to move from where it was; or hell even close enough that it just took a few steps to the left to not be north east anymore. And third impression could be that... your gizmo or gadget just flunked." Lucas finished with a hopeless smirk, obviously pushing for some reaction.

Lucas offered a small chuckle at her solution, "Yeah? Just follow the screams?" With that he stepped ahead of her, carefully avoiding the more dense portions before them. With every minute deeper into the brush, his hand inched closer to his right wrist, the place where a bead bracelet dangled, its surface as damp as his own skin. The screams and howls seemed to relay on the endless cycle of near and far, and the silence he practice was in an effort to pin point his opponent.

With each rotation, his mind pieced together calculations, timing and distance based on sound wave travel, and another complexities that not even he would be able to fully explain. After a few minutes he whispered back, "Hey... I'm still not sure if there is more than one, but I'ma goin' in... Get my back!" And with that he swiped up his arm and it erupted into a vibrant white construction. Falling into a dead sprint, he leaped through the thick leaves of a bush hand cocked back as mechanical parts form a gauntlet.

When Lucas' eyes pierced through the brush, there it stood, aware of their presence, yet oblivious to his attack. A powerful fist swung down towards the ivory mask that adorned his face, and just when he thought he hit it, his hand met nothing, but the ground below, shattered the make of the floor. Lucas voiced as out more mechnical parts formed around the joints of his limbs, "Yeah, Anna, definitely teleportation..." Whenever she'd come through, she would catch the sight of him struggling to unearth his hand from the ground, like King Arthur and Excalibur.
