Hiroki's Zanpakutō

Kouketsu, the name of Hiroki's Zanpakutō. Meaning, "Nobility", the blade in it's rested state is a longer Katana, nearly 30 inches long. The scabbard is a dark brown embroidered with the banner of Gotei 13 in gold leaflet just below the mouth. The blade itself is relatively simplistic, a blood red Tsuka with light yellow wrappings, along with a hand guard designed after a 6 pointed star.

"Tatakau, Kouketsu! (To battle, Kouketsu!)" is his release phrase for Kouketsu to enter it's Shikai. When in Shikai, Kouketsu changes from a plane Katana into an 18th century European cavalry sword. It's hilt becoming a blue and gold tri-grip, shrinking slightly so as to be easily held with a single hand. The hand guard morphs and forms a golden grip and hand shield, ending in a rounded gold pommel. While fighting with Kouketsu in his true form, Hiroki's posture and battle stance becomes much more fluid and upright, requiring quick slashes and thrusts rather than the more traditional two handed style he uses with it's sealed, katana form. Molded completely for combat, it's sole use is in battle. At least as far as he's been able to tap into.

• Saezuru (Sing)When in his Shikai, Hiro activates it's primary ability through the command, Saezuru. When utilized, all his Reiatsu is focused completely within his blade and sword arm. Despite his inability to fully control his power right away, this amplification boosts the speed of his attacks and the power of his slashes until the strain of the speed would tear muscle and shatter bone within his sword arm.
• Buyou (Dance): Buyou is one of the special techniques of his Shikai. It's primary function is a whirlwind of slices and slashes. Causing his entire right arm to radiate pale blue, as this ability is capable of taking the speed of his Sparrow's Bites and applying it to slashes and cuts, making his attack much broader and more powerful. At the expense of a large amount of Reiatsu dispersion and potential damage to his arm.
