HIGH SPIRITUAL PRESSURE: Throughout her training, Kawa has developed, honed, and built a high amount of spiritual energy and reiatsu pressure. While certainly not the best among other Captains and a relatively new Captain at that, she is by no means one to underestimate. Due to her medical skills, Kawa forced herself to remain in constant practice and focus in honing her spiritual pressure in order to become the type of healer and doctor she's become today. Due to her low ranking in accordance to physical combat, Kawa has focused more on Kido and spell casting. As such, she has worked hard to increase her overall spiritual abilities. Because of her high spiritual rate, she's able to keep up with her far older Captains, and has become a caster-type soldier of the Gotei 13.

SWORDSMAN PRACTITIONER: As a Captain of the Gotei, Kawa has long since become well accustomed to combat with a blade. She can certainly hold her own in a fight, and has come to understand the basics and fundamentals of Zanjutsu. While certainly not the best by any means, she is a respectable fighter with a sword, and someone not to be taken lightly.

HAND-TO-HAND MASTER: Due to her knowledge of the human body, as well as her ability of perception, Kawa has ironically become quite masterful of unarmed combat. Studying an opponent's moves and being able to react accordingly without need of balancing a blade in fact makes her a slightly better fighter than with a sword. Understanding various locations within a spiritual construct and being able to use her medical knowledge to her advantage is something she has long since become an expert in handling when it comes to unarmed combat. Kawa's specialty is striking nerve-points, or parts of the body that can constrict reiryoku flow, preventing the ability to produce spiritual power for a limited time.

SPIRITUAL NEGATION: With such a masterful skill when it comes to spiritual flow of her patients, Kawa knows just where to strike to prevent the flow of spiritual energy within an opponent. Such an act requires quick, direct, precise strikes. When successful, Kawa can manipulate her opponent's spiritual flow, which otherwise prevents, sabotages, or disrupts their spiritual abilities to some degree. As every body is different, as well as their ability to control and manipulate spiritual energy, results can certainly vary when used in combat versus when used as a manner of healing or therapy.

EXPERT AGILITY: Kawa is by no means unfamiliar when it comes to her body's limitations in movement. While certainly not the fastest of the Captains by far, she can certainly hold her own in combat and moves at the speed expected of those expected of her rank and position.

PERFECTED SPIRITUAL CONTROL: One of the first things Kawa had come to master and perfect was her spiritual abilities. Kido had been mastered hastily after graduation, and with a vast knowledge of spells and healing, she has come to understand each of her abilities as well as their varied usage. As a healer, she has mastered various forms of healing as well as both offensive and defensive forms of Kido. Her abilities, of course, are not limited to just that, as she has developed several custom healing spells, specializing in poisons, infections, and most importantly, Hollow-type infections.

HOLLOWFICATION PURIFICATION: Due to having infected herself some time ago, Kawa has gained a great understanding in the Hollowfication process and can aid in any attempts to help purify those infected by Hollow reiatsu or Hollow-based poisons and infections. An ability she has mastered since that time, Kawa is constantly using such a technique on herself, to the point where it's like breathing to her. While certainly not able to fully purify those who have been infected or exposed to Hollow reiatsu for too long, or those who have already transformed into what they have named a Vizard, she can manipulate the spiritual flow of one's body to negate the spread of Hollow manifestation to a single area. Such treatment is likely to be continuous until such time where the infection can be fully purified, or in her own case, indefinitely contained.

PERFECTED PERCEPTION: Kawa has held a genius intellect since she was young, and her ability to take in information all around her has both expressed her talents, and haunted her throughout the entirety of her life. With an eidetic memory and vast knowledge, she can understand her opponents abilities upon a single production of their skills and evaluate situations quickly enough during combat to react accordingly.

Bakudō #63. Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes)

Raising his/her palm up to the target, the practitioner closes his/her hand into a fist and calls forth yellow energy, taking a form of very thick rope, which binds the upper body of the target.

Bakudō #81. Dankū (斷空, Splitting Void)

A defensive wall is created to protect against an enemy's attack. The practitioner creates a translucent barrier in the form of a large rectangular wall. It has been said it can stop Kidō-based attacks with power up to level 89.

Hadō #63. Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Sear)

Generating an orb of yellow lighting above the palm of his/her hand, the practitioner fires the built-up energy at his/her target as a massive concentration of energy which resembles a lightning strike. The effect has devastatingly destructive results.

Hadō #73. Sōren Sōkatsui (双漣蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)

An advanced form of Hadō #33. Sōkatsui, it has twice the effectiveness. Generating blue energy with his/her index and middle fingers, the practitioner makes a pushing motion with both of his/her palms to push the gathered energy toward the target in a concentrated blast. It is essentially a doubled version of Hadō #33. Sōkatsui because the user fires two bursts of blue energy with much greater potency than the single shot variety

Kaidō (回道, Turn Way)

As the user holds his/her hands above the patient's wounds, his/her palms glow with green spiritual energy to facilitate healing. When one heals with regular healing kidō, they perform Reiatsu restoration first. By doing so, one can attempt to recover the physical body using the patient's restored reiatsu and the healer's external reiatsu. Therefore, restoring the reiatsu when the physical body is in a fully healed state is no trouble at all.

Reiatsu Seisei ( 霊圧精製, Spiritual Pressure Purification)

A powerful ability to cleanse a patient's reiatsu from infection and poisons. This technique works beyond most healing forms of Kido and opens a direct connection between the patient and the caster, allowing a spiritual bond to form. Within this state, the caster can literally suck out the infected portions of spiritual energy, using their own body as a conductor to filter out the tarnished reiatsu, while simultaneously replacing the spiritual energy being taken. This requires a vast amount of spiritual energy as well as an incredible knowledge of healing, poisons, and various forms of spiritual infections. Hollowfication processes can be slowed down, and if performed immediately, can actually halt the processes. However, after the patient begins to express the signs of Hollowfication to the extent of producing Hollowfied skin, this process will only slow down the inevitable. This technique is quite dangerous, as it runs the risk of both hastening the Hollowfication process, as well as spreading the tainted reiatsu to the caster.

Reiatsu Shīru (霊圧シール,Spiritual Pressure Seal)*

An incredible ability used to seal up a patient or target's reiatsu, or a selected portion. This is normally used when the Reiatsu Seisei technique is unable to be used. In a similar fashion, the caster will open a direct connection between the patient and him/herself, allowing a spiritual bond to form between them. Within this state, the caster will begin to manipulate the spiritual flow of the patient, finding all forms of infected reiatsu and moving that spiritual energy below their spiritual core. This requires an extensive amount of spiritual power as well as a vast knowledge of medical practice, as moving the infection too close to the patient's spiritual core can run the risk of worsening the patient's infected state. Once achieved, the caster will then lock the infection with a powerful seal, preventing further spreading of the infection throughout the patient's body. The overall procedure will sever a portion of the patient's spiritual energy, though the infection will remained seal for some time. As each patient and spiritual being is different, there is no standard time in which the seal will remain intact. It is recommended that this procedure be done several times over the course of a few months, with the caster remaining in constant check on the patient to ensure the seal remains in tact.

*Kawa has used this technique on herself to prevent the spread of Hollowfied reiatsu she had received during her attempt to save a friend who had started to go through the Hollowfication processes. As such, she has developed this technique solely to keep her own infection from spreading. Since she had been tended to directly after the infection occurred, her infection is minimal, and the power required to keep the seal intact sufficient enough to the point where it does not require constant monitoring.

Name: Mizukitsune (Water-fox)
Personality: Mizukitsune is a very upbeat spirit. She always sees the world as half full and never allows herself nor Kawa to feel that hope is ever lost. She loves to simply enjoy life and all it has to offer and will often be found swimming in the large lake where the waterfalls end, or eating apples found along the thick forest. She loves listening to stories and folklore, and will often reference such stories during conversations. Mizukitsune's "look on the bright-side" persona, much to Kawa's annoyance, though has long since become accustomed to the happy-go-lucky spirit. Her spirit is just about the most she can handle of one's "sunny disposition."

Type: Gauntlet
Appearance: The Gauntlet completely covered a single arm, normally whichever one is wielding the sword. As Kawa is ambidextrous, either arm could be used when summoning the sword's gauntlet form. Of course, after releasing the blade, the gauntlet remains on the selected arm. Activation of the gauntlet forces the blade to pulsate a light, sky-blue hue that darkens to a more azure tint. The sword then liquefies and engulf's the user's arm, coating it in its liquidated state. After a single pulse of energy, the gauntlet forms over her arm, with a constant flow of water circling around the gauntlet.

Gengetsu(三日月, Crescent-Moon)

A technique both brutal and precise. This ability, teamed with pure medical knowledge, is used with a single, or even multiple strikes. When activated, the gauntlet upon the wearer's arm pulsates a sapphire hue, and a flow of water engulfs the forearm. Upon impact, a light 'splash' is present, which is then followed by a powerful torrent of pure water, that rockets outward. This blast can also be produced from long range, and can shoot out up to fifty meters.

Hangetsu (半月, Half-Moon)

With a raise of the gauntlet, a powerful flow of water launches outward, like a fire hydrant exploding. The water then rains downward, creating a large sphere that takes shape around her and the surrounding area, expanding up to a six meter radius. This shield appears semi-transparent, as though one is looking through water. The shield itself has a bluish-teal tint. The shield lasts until Kawa dismisses it or until the shield itself is overpowered.

Mangetsu (満月, Full Moon)

Mangetsu works similarly to Hangetsu, though expresses the weapon's healing arts. With a raise of the gauntlet, water is unleashed once more to create a large sphere takes shape around her and the surrounding area, expanding up to a six meter radius. This shield appears semi-transparent, as though one is looking through water. Within the barrier, a soft misty rain begins to fall, healing those within and treating for minor to moderate wounds. The shield itself has a bluish-teal tint. The shield lasts until Kawa dismisses it or until the shield itself is overpowered.

Bankai Name: Shugosha Himekitzune
Translation: Guardian Princess Fox
Type: Shield & Gauntlet
Appearance: The shield is summoned through the gauntlet, and acts as an additional accessory. The shield itself is roughly the size of the gauntlet, though allows for Kawa's fingers to extend passed the bottom rim. Though, should she choose, her hand can curl and the bottom of the shield can be used as a blunt striking weapon for melee attacks. Upon activation, the entirety of the gauntlet pulsates blue, then shifts to a darker azure color, similar with summoning the Shikai. Water begins to form at the wrist, then expands along the outside of her arm, and similarly with the Shikai, the shield is formed from the liquefied substance and brought into existence with one final pulse of spiritual energy.

Reitou-Gengetsu (冷凍三日月, Frozen Crescent Moon)

A technique both brutal and precise. This ability, teamed with pure medical knowledge, is used with a single, or even multiple strikes. The power of Mizukitsune is not simply its obvious elemental ability, but the properties of the element itself; being able to control the flow of one's spiritual energy to the point where a single strike can cause severe spiritual nerve damage and restrict the flow of spiritual energy upon the target. When activated, the gauntlet upon the wearer's arm pulsates a sapphire hue, and a flow of water engulfs the forearm. Upon impact, a light 'splash' is present, and where the strike was made, a dark, azure crescent moon marking is placed. These marks indicate the spot in which the strike was made, and if successful, restrict the flow of spiritual energy. Several markings can be made upon the body, but the true nature of this ability is the follow-up command. Like with its previous form, the wearer can command a powerful burst of spiritual energy upon each of the markings, though instead of exploding, they begin to spread an icy, cold sensation upon the target, freezing the point of impact and engulfing the target in ice. The more markings made with this technique, the more quickly the ice will spread.

Gesshoku (月蝕, Lunar Eclipse)

Gesshoku is Kawa's most powerful defensive ability. It is a combination of Mangetsu and a healing ability of her Zanpakuto. Kawa moves to one knee and strikes the ground beneath her; if there is no ground, then the simple motion is enough. The gauntlet glows a bright sapphire, then pure white. Similar to how Mangetsu manifests, a bright light-blue shield erupts around her, spreading out eight meters. This initial barrier is then surrounded by an illusion-type spell, hiding those within from sight and covering the barrier with a secondary barrier that blankets the reiatsu within . Attacks that attempt to break through, and perhaps, succeed in piercing the first barrier are then engulfed in thick, murky water that lessens both the speed and velocity of the attack in an attempt to prevent it from getting to the second barrier. Within the center, Gesshoku's true abilities being to take effect. Those within (excluding Kawa) are then treated for minor to moderate injuries. Unlike it's previous form, however, Gesshoku also restores spiritual energy to those within. Gesshoku lasts until Kawa dismisses the ability, or unless the protective barriers are broken through. Once the second barrier breaks, the ability is broken and the healing stops.

Nisshoku (日食, Solar Eclipse)

Nisshoku is Kawa's most powerful offensive ability. Shugosha Himekitzune will literally start to suck all the moisture from the air around it in any and all forms, draining any water source or the like. After the initial charge, both the gauntlet and shield pulsate, with all blue-shades of color upon both fading away to a murky purplish tint, then fully black. The wearer then diminishes the shield, in a form of sacrificing all forms of defense for one, single, finally attack. This powerful burst of raw spiritual energy ignites an enormous flow of water-like pressure that launches out with a single strike. This blast can be manipulated in one of two ways; it can either extend its form, expanding over a vast and mighty wave of pure, raw spiritual energy in the form of a tsunami, hitting all within its path of up to a hundred meters, or it can be condensed to the point where, upon impact, that condensed energy erupts and expands outward from the point of impact. The more air or moreso water surrounding the area, the better.
