He had long since grown restless, he couldn't even find the desire to sleep any more. There was only one thing that he longed for, there was only one thing that he wanted; but, unfortunately, it seemed as though he wasn't meant to acquire the one thing he sought to obtain. It seemed that everything that he ever heard about the Gotei 13 was nothing more than a fallacy. Or so, that's how it was beginning to appear to him.
Hope seemed to show its' face one random evening, as he overheard a peculiar conversation.
A red haired Shinigami woman ran up to a group.
'Jukan-taichō has been defeated,' the first of the Shinigami told one of the three others that were around the.
'What?!'
'By who...?'
'Did the Quincy attack us--?!'
'No. It was Koshitsu-taichō.'
'So what does this mean?'
'It means he's the new Sōtaichō...The God Slayer.'
"The God Slayer!" Jinpachi grinned a sinister grin, his white teeth clenched down as he reeled back and released a horrendous laughter. In a blinding speed, he moved in a blur, yoking the girl up into the air with his hand around her neck he peered into her eyes. His oculars glinted with a crisom hue.
"Who is this Koshitsu-taichō?" he asked, his claw-like hand tightened around her neck. "Where can I find him?"
'He's the new Sōtaichō. You can find him in the Ichibantai's Barracks now. He should be there!'
Loosening his grip around the woman's neck, he released her and allowed her body to drop to the ground like a ragdoll. He smiled a toothy smile, his murky whites were seen. Looking around for a moment, he gauged which route would be the fastest to get to the Ichibantai.
It took him about fifteen minutes to arrive at the Ichibantai's barracks. He strolled through the streets without a worry at all. His face was void of any emotion, although he appeared to be anxious. Excited. It was the glimmer of anticipation that flickered in his eyes that showed this.
He found the administration building after an additional five minutes. Upon walking up to the building, he kicked in the door, knocking it off of its' hinges.
"Where is your new Taichō," he asked in the brashest of tones. Arms folding across his chest, he stepped into the center of the room. He eyed everyone in attendance, like they were ants- lambs to the slaughter.
"Tell 'em to get his ass out here and fight me."
