His pacing had come to an end as he was joined in his office by the man he intended to see. Ryuugamine Kosuke, someone that Rouen didn't know too much about, but he certainly was a man that the Captain of the Ninth Division would love to do business with. "Ah yes! Yes you may." He answered frantically, the anxiousness showed through his quick movements, and fidgety hands. That was quite the hat the lieutenant bore upon his head, although Rouen enjoyed it he would keep his opinion to himself. Kosuke wasn't here to be paid compliments, he was here to do business, and the Taichou liked getting straight to the point.

A loud whistle traveled throughout the room. Rouen ran over to the corner where a kettle was sitting atop a counter, steam flowing from the inside of the machine. "Would you like some?" Of course he wasn't going to take no for an answer, so he continued to pour the hot water into two tea cups and filled them to the brim. He took them over to his desk, placed one in front of Ryuugamine and one in front of himself before taking his place in his seat.

"What do you have in mind?" He inquired, taking a sip of the tea before regretting doing so as the heat burned his tongue and now he'd have to deal with a burned tongue for the rest of the day. Damn it.

It was rather unfortunate that so many Captains had disappeared and left their positions vacant for our new leader, Sojiro, to fill up as he pleased. As Kosuke kept on about his search for power and returning with his bankai Rouen seemed rather happy for him. He assumed something like this would happen, because why would Sojiro want people who weren't on his side working as Captains. God forbid someone orchestrated a rebellion against him.

"Oh? I'm happy for you Kosuke-kun. I hope to witness your power alongside my own when the time calls for it." The past few days had been odd for the Captain. Something just felt off, this worry of sorts kept him from relaxing. He had a gut feeling that war was coming, obviously it was coming, but sooner than everyone expected. Rouen wasn't particularly worried, it was just a feeling of uneasiness. Although he gathered enough information the remaining captains who were deemed a threat in Sojiro's eyes, there were still those individuals hiding from the shadows, concocting a plan to strike when the time was perfect for them. The Ninth Captain hated surprises, and he'd be sure to destroy any that came his way.

"Ah yes, my thoughts, yes yes." Rouen was day dreaming a bit while Kosuke spoke about having the two squads be like brother and sister, going everywhere together and protecting each other. "I'd like to tell you that I am on board with this idea." Before he continued he made sure no one was nearby listening on the conversation the two were having. "With our influence in earthly affairs, as well as Seireitei, this should be a easy and smooth process. Unless of course, there are unknown factors that decide to come into play when we least want them to..."
