Dante's Sniper Crowbar
A crude and ingenious long-range bludgeoning weapon with an effective range of 1500 yards, similar to a normal sniper rifle. Unlike its gun counterpart, however, this long-range blunt weapon has some additional advantages not found in a sniper rifle in that it requires no reloading, is not necessarily lethal, and could be used in a variety of situations from close to long range engagements. It can also be used like a normal crowbar to pry open stubborn doors or smash open wooden crates with relative ease.
Since its creation, scientists wondered how this marvelous weapon that blatantly defied the established laws of physics and common sense came to be considering that, by his own admission, Dante merely attached a sniper scope on it and it worked; but not even Dante himself could explain why it worked the way it did. Some have speculated that supernatural forces were at work during its conception, but such baseless allegations were commonly ignored due to the lack of evidence supporting it. In truth, however, the 'bludgeons' which happen whenever Dante swings the weapon at a target are the result of extremely well-timed coincidences which merely give off the impression that the weapon is actually doing damage.
So far, many home-brew weapon enthusiasts and even entire agencies have tried to replicate the weapon, but all have failed, leaving Dante's Sniper Crowbar the 'only' weapon of its kind in existence, although many faithful reproductions of it exist all over the world.
