NAME: (En) Mei Chikyo (First, Last)ALIAS: X666-333 (prisoner number)AGE: 125 (actual age) 16 in appearance.APPEARANCE:APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION: X666-333 physically appears to be a sixteen year old female teenager however this was not always their appearance. It is the result of the taboo acts they've committed and one of their many crimes. All the same, they now sport red hair which reaches close to the middle of their back when let down. It's worn in pigtails, with long bangs that cover the forehead, as well as frame the side of their face. Their iris is supposed to be indigo in the left socket and (japanese) violet in the other seen here (the colour).
It becomes red during moments of extreme tension or when emotions are actually being portrayed against their apathetic nature. Their skin complexion is quite fair, giving off a sense of purity. They stand at 5'9 surprisingly which is just a bit shy of their previous height of 5'11. For their attire, X666-333 never wears the standard Gotei 13 uniform. Instead, they're always featured in a white or beige one piece "dress". It's sleeveless because it's been modified that way and it's been cut short to just above the knees, for flexibility during sparring. Said "dress" is actually just a modified kimono given to prisoners. It can appear beige because it's been dirtied or it's an older set of clothing that just hasn't been able to retain it's pure white. However, regardless of which set (of the same clothes) she wears, upon the back is the insignia for the first Division of the Gotei 13. That's how they know whom and where this Shinigami belongs first and foremost.
When she is forced to wear the standard Shihakusho, it is simply a black variation of the prisoner kimono with no hakama worn and an elegant white obi around the waist. Around the arms, there's no sleeves, thus she bandage wraps her arms to hide any scars or markings from previous fights. Lastly, she sports thigh high tabi socks and standard issue sandals.PERSONALITY: X666-333 is a very amusing personality within the Gotei 13. Sometimes they're called the "Fallen Monk" because of their strong Buddhist principals intertwined with their criminal actions. It's very much a "Do as I say" not "As I do" situation. Holy words of the finest wisdom can be heard from their mouth but it never seems to be followed by them directly. In many ways, it's better to compare X666-333 to a great thief. They have "Honour" yet there's "No honour among thieves". Clauses such as not fighting unarmed enemies or lack of interest in those whom aren't strong, are part of the weird code they possess. However, once a fight starts, they're not above dirty tactics, provided that they ultimately win the fight in the end. Their speech is a mix of extremely polite japanese (adapted to english as best as I can oocly) with subtle nuances that indicate their dark nature. It's entirely possible that X666-333 is a sociopath but despite this diagnosis, they exhibit "good" acts as well. From providing for the poor in Rukongai, to taking care of the sick and injured (even those of the Gotei 13 whom they proclaim to despise), they will help people in need.
Yin and Yang are important concepts to X666-333. They're both a Hero and a Villain in the ways they act but they're not the popular "Anti-Hero", rather they're the "Anti-Villain". This is because X666-333 seeks the downfall of Seireitei itself but not Soul Society at large. There are innocent beings whom ended up in Soul Society and they believe it to be against their own will that they made it there. Thus they are merciful to civilians and even to Hollows. X666-333 does not play around with Hollows, they always attempt to swiftly purify them and do not engage in lust for combat at all. Monsters whom know not the evil they commit, need to be purified so they can return to the path of enlightenment. Whereas a fight with another Shinigami or those whom are Spiritually Aware and thus knowledgeable of their own actions (including Arrancar), are dealt with from both an entertainment aspect (love of battle) and to (drag their skulls to the ground, so they can be stomped). It is a metaphor which means that X666-333 will attack them psychologically and break down all their skills, rendering them unable to continue fighting ever again (broken soul). While this isn't always achieved for one reason or another, it is always the goal for fighting such individuals. This prisoner simply believes themselves to be imparting them with wisdom, so they may seek a better road. For the road of battle, only leads to more bloodshed and to save a warrior, requires to break their fighting spirit...not to actually kill them.
Perhaps it's their physical disposition but X666-333 can be quite gentle. The desire to care for those less fortunate, causes a 'motherly' trait within them. They're also quite prudent, which allows them to carry out their "duties". Unfortunately they're also strong willed, thus certain "rules" are never followed blatantly but more on that in appearance (above). Despite this, they exhibit leadership qualities, particularly the charismatic trait needed to "preach" the buddhist doctrine, as well as the mannerisms they exhibit in speech and body language. They never speak like a loser, winners speak of what MUST CHANGE, how the world SHOULD BE, never accepting anything less than the correct path. This results in them being unable to handle failure or defeat. It's also the result of quite an "ego" and it clashes with the "humble" nature they're supposed to portray. These bad traits are at least acknowledged on some level by X666-333. They're also an opportunist, which is not part of the middle path philosophies and has caused them to get into trouble more often than not. Lastly, they have no trust to speak of and thus no "loyalty" to exhibit. Any actions deemed as loyal are done due to the prisoner mentality. That is "I'm trapped and forced to obey these laws" and any opportunity to break those laws and NOT be caught, will be taken. The exception to this, is if the law is truly moral and just. Justice is blind, a popular quote that X666-333 will say. Thus they'll seek out any power to achieve their goal but they'll never become corrupt by the power (or so they believe).
Due to the contrasting and distorting of principals, it is safe to call them "Twisted". There is no pure goodness or pure evil within this person but their unpredictable nature is a threat to the Seireitei itself. For that reason they're constantly under watch, which gives them a perverse pleasure. Knowing that the institution is both afraid of them and willing to use them. Perhaps they're masochistic and sadistic in nature but the philosophies they follow, prevent them from truly exploring those "animalistic" tendencies to any serious capacity. At best, subtle things from those aspects come to the surface, the same with any sense of lust, love, anger or sadness. It's dulled down to the point where they come across as largely apathetic.ALLIANCE: 1st Division, Gotei 13HISTORY: Chikyo Enmei was born one hundred and twenty years ago in southern china. Second and thus youngest son of a young couple of two. They worked on a farmland near the border of India. They grew up poor but devout in religion, following the ways of Buddha. Even though they had little, for any traveler, be them of religious faith or not, they were always treated to food and shelter, which resulted in the families death when Enmei reached the tender age of ten. Of course, back then their name was Xian Wu Long. The older brother's name was Xian Ling Long. He was born with no difficulties, while Xian Wu was the result of an "untimely" accident while being carried to 6 months. Xian Wu's mother was attacked by a Hollow as it goes, thus Xian Wu was always able to see ghosts. Whenever he mentioned seeing them, he was beaten for it, proclaiming that he needed to be freed from the demons which haunted him. It became really bad the night when a self-proclaimed follower of Buddha came to their home. He wanted to take Xian Wu with him to exploit his talents but when Xian Wu tried to run away, the faux monk killed his family; then tracked the boy down. After resisting to come with him, he was beaten to death.
When Xian-Wu woke up, he was within the first district of West Rukongai Jinrinan. Their memories were clouded but they could still remember the basic teachings of Buddha and since that was all they could remember from their previous life, they clung to it tightly. Being spiritually aware in the material realm, the now nameless boy had quite a bit of spiritual energy. It meant he was often hungry but there wasn't much food to be had. Many days they would go on hunger strikes, trying to abstain and seek out enlightenment only to no avail. Ultimately, it resulted in going to the more dangerous districts to find food. He was beaten within an inch of his life many times for stealing but one day, he was adopted by a gang in District 80 Zaraki. They sought to create an underground paradise known as the Thieves Guild. They would watch out for one another and take out any whom got in their way. The young boy, now thirteen at the time, was accepted because of their strong will power, tenacity to live, and the wisdom they exhibited. The Boss of the guild was not a religious man at all but he found it amusing. The more time he spent with his adopted son, the more he became to believe in the teachings. Rukongai was rotten, no way anyone from these districts could believe this was "Heaven". Maybe there was a true heaven he could ascend to but how could he do that without getting into the court of pure souls? Thus he decided to make the boy his secret weapon. He would train him harshly in the basics of combat and survival.
Anything goes was the school of thought and combat he taught. The lowest of the low in skills were taught, as well as deception. He was taught how to lie to Shinigami when they came to dispute issues with civilians, he was taught how to con people out of money and food, as well as to be an excellent thief. In the end, the ends justifies the means, or so the newly dubbed Enmei Chiyko would repeat to themselves; despite the feeling that what they did was wrong. It twisted his perception of life and morals greatly, causing them to rise in spiritual power and soon, infamy. Yes, they were now luring in warriors from all kinds of districts. Those whom submitted were forced into the guild. Those whom did not submit, were killed. Weaker Shinigami soon got into the fray and they'd be beaten to an inch of their life or killed outright as well. This was what caught the eye of Soul Society. However, when he decided to lead the guild in a retaliation against Seireitei, that was the final straw! The guild was wiped out except for Enmei, whom was imprissoned and sentenced to the maggots' nest. Seeing his high level of spiritual energy, they wondered if he could be rehabilitated for their own purposes soon after. He'd enter the academy at the same time as Raito Seirryuu. He ended up despising the man for his lineage but respected him for his skills, though he never let the man onto his "hate" for him, only what seemed like admiration and praise. Though nothing to the level of a fanboy, just passing conversation.
There was another man whom entered the academy that caught Enmei's eye as well. He had an interesting viewpoint which Enmei was sure to remember every night he returned to his prison cell. At all times the young man was escorted to and from the Shino academy. Of course, even during that period of time, there were days when he "ran away", only to be caught. This streak of rebellion was why his freedoms were never bestowed on him. For any act that could be considered good behaviour, was washed away in the exploits Enmei performed. He would attempt to take from noble students only to give to poor students or those in Rukongai. Of which he was severely punished for it. They would give away precious learning materials to Rukongai citizens, which resulted in suspension from the academy for awhile. Yet throughout all this, Enmei's grades were remarkable. Not because he was a prodigy, no no...he lacked any sort talent besides his spiritual energy levels... It was his commitment to being a student that kept his grades high. He worked harder than most, studied harder, trained as best as he could. All this caught the eyes of the teachers whom taught him. He momentarily got the nickname among them as Two-faced. Dilligent in class, terror outside of it.
Of course this diligence stemmed from an ever innate curiosity. Enmei sought to know more and more, always looking to go beyond the textbooks. He also rejected the teachings of harnessing the Asauchi. The Zanpakuto he was given was feared. Weapons were ultimately evil, a yang that was forced upon him; explained as something to nurture like a child. He would raise no demon but that only twisted the soul which he implanted upon the blade. As soon as he could speak with the spirit, it was consistently telling him to do evil. "Cut down your enemies!" it cried, forever in a bloodlust. "Use me, I want to feel your power as I taste their blood!" with such dialogue as this, who WOULDN'T reject the evil spirit of the sword. Yet the more he tried to resist, the louder it's voice became! It felt as if the Zanpakuto would consume his very soul if he wasn't careful but what was actually happening, was that he was on the verge to hearing it's name. Upon graduation, Enmei locked themselves within their prison cell. They refused to come out and turned down the various offers from other divisions.
"I must conquer this evil, I will not succumb to the power of jealous gods!" he told the guards time and time again.
Since he was always within the Jinza sitting position, they just figured he was trying to learn the name of his Zanpakuto on his own. Well, much to his dismay, he did indeed learn the demon's name but it would not be released into the world. Instead he did something outrageous and taboo! Clashing blades with the spirit within, he pushed against the gridlock and bite into the neck of the Zanpakuto spirit. Her name was Tsukihime and in Enmei's eyes was nothing but a vile temptress. He relished in her screams of agony and continued to bite into her over and over, forcing her spirit deep within his soul. He fell to his knees and let out a loud battle cry, his sign of success but he'd...succumbed to her desires in the end. They had bonded so deeply after he consumed her flesh, that his body was changed completely. It was karmic punishment for resisting her will!
"I'll take your strength and that which makes you whom you are. Since you won't let me manifest separately, I will manifest from within you, carving the image I desire upon your flesh!" she decreed like any princess who was wronged would.
Well...an evil princess anyway but that was neither here nor there. When Enmei awoke, his body...it was...gone. They felt lighter...weaker...like all their strength was zapped. Their voice was different when they yelled for a guard. But the look of terror within the guards eyes, apparently once a mirror could be obtained, Enmei saw what they'd become.
A monster
...Oh well a female monster actually. At the time, there were blades jutting forth from their body and their spiritual pressure was flaring but once the terror sunk in, the blades regressed. It seemed that, despite merging with their Zanpakuto, they would not go berserk. Perhaps this power could be tamed! Thus security was tightened and shackles with chains were placed upon their body. For the crime of merging, their name was stripped from them, replaced with X666-333. It represented the evil crime (666) and the union (the source of the crime). The X indicating their name was cut from them. The day they finally chose to take up position in the Gotei 13, they were approached by the first division, as it was the best way to keep the prisoner in check. They performed the release ceremony in private, with only the Central 46 and Captains to bear witness to the taboo. Unfortunately the psychological effects of the release, caused X666-333 to reject anything to do with the power. It was a power of "Jealous Gods" and they'd rather utilize other means to seek their own desires. Thus they made a personal vow not to use their Zanpakuto power unless the end justified the means. They'd double down on Kido, Hakuda, and Zanjutsu instead.
From time to time, when they could not keep their composure, they could hear the voice; a feint whisper of the Zanpakuto. She was laughing or teasing them, for all she wanted was to exist...through any means necessary.
