Anders isn't one to flaunt his looks. He believes that he has an average appearance, and doesn't consider himself to be very attractive or handsome. He stands between five feet seven inches and five feet eight inches tall, and weighs around one hundred and seventy pounds. His messy hair is a mixture of white and gray, and is typically kept short no longer than a few inches in length. Anders's eyes are a maroon color, and they are the easiest way to tell how he's feeling. His face and mannerisms might say one thing but his eyes hold Anders's true emotions. It makes Anders somewhat easy to read, and this is a trait that he has some disdain for.
The twenty-two year old’s mouth, nose and ears are roughly in proportion with one another though his ears are a bit large and pronounced. While Anders shaves often, he sometimes allows for a little bit of stubble to grow, giving him a nice five o' clock shadow. Plus, it’s more often that you’ll see Anders covered in some kind of dirt and grease than not, thanks to his love for working with machinery and technology. Even so, he does his best to stay clean and groomed. His body isn’t particularly muscular or built, but Anders isn’t frail or twiggy either. His body type could best be described as average.
Anders's outfits aren't too complicated. Typically, he wears a plain short-sleeved shirt with a long-sleeved shirt over it, along with black pants, depending on the weather. The shirts are monochromatic, usually being red, orange, yellow, green, gray or black. His choice of footwear is a pair of simple black sneakers. Depending on the weather, Anders may wear just a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of shorts, or he will add a jacket to his typical outfit. Accessory wise, Anders had a liking for beanies, sunglasses and digital watches.

Anders's intelligence and hard-working attitude are two of his most defining characteristics, and are easily the two that others notice first. While he's no genius, Anders's incredibly bright and can pick up on new things and concepts quickly if he puts effort into it. His intelligence is one reason why he is able to succeed in the field of engineering. His expertise lies within math, science and anything dealing with machinery and technology. Anything outside of that, and he'll need to refer to someone who is more educated in the subject than he is. This does not mean that he is not willing to learn new things. In fact, Anders pushes himself to expand his knowledge base so that he is at least somewhat informed on various subjects.
Anders is an extremely hard-working and diligent individual. He has a strong work ethic, and demands nothing but the best effort from himself. If he doesn’t give something his all, then he considers it a failure, even if the end product is successful. This leads him to beat himself up over small mishaps, such as forgetting a small variable or miscalculating a complicated equation. It can be safely said that Anders is a bit of a workaholic and a slight perfectionist. This is both good and bad. It's good since it shows that Anders is truly devoted to his work, and will always strive to do the best he can in everything he does. However, it's bad since Anders has a tendency to obsess over his work. He feels he's obligated to always work on something, whether it is completing assignments, tinkering with machines or running errands. Anders doesn't particularly know how to relax or have fun. To him, relaxing or having fun is almost like a foreign concept, but he has been trying recently in order to change that. Just be ready to have to give him a little push in the right direction.
Formal and polite, Anders is a mild-mannered man. He is mindful of his words and actions, making him quite the tactful and friendly person. His friendliness isn't forced, and is completely genuine. Still, Anders can seem pretty stiff at times. He's out of the loop with the latest trends and fads, and he's honestly a little bit of a geek. Even though he has a naturally calm demeanor, Anders would still prefer to deal with machines and gadgets rather than people. He can at least predict and know what a machine and gadget is going to do.
