The title given to him was the Violate, the ability to infest a target’s soul with his own to remove its ability to use spiritual powers.The SternritterOne thousand years ago a heretic was born. Claiming to be the reincarnated soul of the first quincy, Jesus of Nazareth, he proclaimed himself king over all his people. They flocked to him and formed an army capable of matching that of the shinigami. They sought to destroy the false gods and to put themselves, the holy angels, into their position. Thus began what the Vatican now calls the Zeroth Crusade--a crusade against the spirit world itself.
In order to match the power of the budding Hohlreich’s Vasto Lordes and the Goteijuusantai’s captains, the heretic king donated a portion of his soul to twenty six individuals. This fragment of his soul catapulted these quincy’s spiritual powers from that of a human to that of the highest echelons of the spiritual universe. They were dubbed the Sternritter, the Star Knights, and were said to be the most beautiful and powerful quincy in history.
When the heretic king fell, the Sternritter remained. Though they no longer had a method to increase their powers, they passed down their titles for the next eight hundred years. And even after the split in the quincy’s ideals as a race, they continued to thrive. But they became highlighted in a negative light, and they were seen as bloodthirsty savages who wanted nothing more than chaos. Thus two hundred years ago, when the pact between quincy and shinigami was sealed, the quincy turned on their once legendary knights and killed them all.
Total annihilation, however, was not possible. Though less than five remained, the surviving Sternritter hid themselves in the shadows of the Vatican. They continued their studies and waited for the prophecy that their king would return to come true. And when it did, the new quincy king, Junsui Saigo, began the process he did more than a millennia earlier: he donated his soul and re birthed the star knights in full.
In total there are fifteen Sternritter. Below is a list of those that are NPCs. Each one is powerful enough to match the Knight Commanders, the Captains, and the Espada. They are:
Ser Beret “Sutoridah” Dugal, a former military man who has seen three different campaigns. The title give to him was the Quake, the ability to use reishi to create seismic waves that could level even cities.
Ser Barogue Belrose, the mercernary partner of Sutoridah and a man infamous for his brutality on the battlefield. The title given to him was the Undead, the ability to regenerate from any wound with reishi as long as a portion of his brain remains.
Ser Giselle Boston, the daughter of the former head of the Vatican’s holy council. Thought to be dead, she was inducted by the quincy king after his father fell in the Vatican’s coup. The title given to her was the Lie, the ability to create an illusion that forces anyone who suffers it to believe that it is real.
Ser Muskel, a former german wrestling superstar. Known for his flamboyance, he was given the title the Synchronize, the ability allows him to connect his soul with the target, allowing him to transfer wounds and feelings to the opponent’s body.
[/ul]In order to join the Sternritter, a pure blooded quincy must send a personal message to the quincy king himself, stating their intentions. From there, everything else is left to fate.
