Reasoning: After suffering a humbling defeat at the hands of Emil Heidrich, Ashton found himself dwelling in unmanageable anger with bouts of fear. For once, whatever tricks he had up his sleeved proved fruitless not only simply in battle, but in strategical terms. The power he wielded was insufficient to what he need to pursue his goals; behind his ego, he was his biggest liability. Thus leading him onto the route of bankai. Throughout the trial, Kenketusha forced Ashton to notice the mistakes of his life and where he was headed, which efficiently self-actualized him and emboldened his resolve beyond his expectations--quite literally giving him a rebirth. For the first time in his life, Ashton found himself fighting for more than himself, he's training not only for peace and justice, but for the few souls he cares about. After the battle and during the subjugation, the particular action that Ashton was forced to take in order to achieve success surpassed the normal link between Zanpakutou and Shinigami--creating a fully symbiotic relationship and furthermore widening his spiritual horizons to that of a captain.

P∆R∆NOI∆ -- Ashton finds himself with an incompetent Syndicate agent with a loose end tagging upon his job. The Syndicate leader is faced to fight the liability and soon finds himself overwhelmed by the enemy's power and illogical speed. As he gains the upper hand, he finds his arrogance soon beaten out of him and he suffers a defeat. He is the liability.


REMEDY LANE -- To ascend to the next level, Ashton is forced to subjugate his soul-forged spirit to attain bankai. During the trials, Kenketsusha forces him to realize who he is before he's capable of taking his power, and the her power to the next level. He soon finds the walls he tried so hard to build up crashing, and consequently learns more about himself than he could ever imagine; he becomes the man he was meant to be. And no longer will he be the liability, he will prosper or continue to reach new heights.

UNTIL KINGDOM COMES -- The worst weakness to have, and the most powerful strength to bear. A reminder of what's really important, a justification to ruthlessly chase his ambitions.
