Raoul Belgarde
Vagrant Of Love
NICKNAME: N/AAGE: 20AGE OF DEATH: N/ADIVISION: N/ARANK: N/AAPPEARANCERaoul, much like his brother, was blessed with naturally good looks and beautiful blonde hair. Standing at an above average six foot, three inches, Raoul is a lithe yet sculpted young man, featuring clear definition on his abdomen, arms, chest and legs, but very little bulk beyond the surface level muscle. Due to his extensive background in martial arts and swimming, he is incredibly fit, able to run for periods that would exhaust or kill other men his age, not to mention at a faster pace. Indeed, his running, dodging and jumping has very much dominated his physical appearance, as he has tailored his entire body and choice of attire towards it. While his hair is blonde and feminine like his brother's, his features significantly more length, allowing it to reach all the way down to the small of his back if left unconstrained. On most days, or ones that he knows he will be running, at least, Raoul wears his hair in a long ponytail with multiple bands keeping it in place, lest it got loose during a high speed chase or casual fly around town.
Clothing wise, Raoul prefers to keep things simple, often just wearing a pair of casual slacks and a sleeveless t-shirt, so as to not limit his flexibility or striking. On more formal occasions, however, Raoul enjoys to spend some time on the fancier side of fashion, often wearing full suits and dress shoes, a purchase that unfortunately lead to some of the financial troubles the duo are now going through. As for battle attire, he (strangely) prefers to go without a shirt or pants, often stripping down to just a small pair of shorts, so as to avoid destroying his clothing with his transformations. Beneath his clothing, his tattoo becomes far more obvious as it stretches from his back to his chest, around his abdomen until finally reaching to his pectoral muscles, where it lays with its mouth open; ready to hunt.PERSONALITY
Unlike his brother Favien, Raoul is far more concerned with the inane things in life. Money, suits, women and cheap thrills. While his brother is worried about preserving the legacy and standard of his family, Raoul is more concerned with using it to persuade women into bed with him, talk down to people and otherwise just be as elitist as humanly possible. Calling himself 'high class', he expects the best from people, especially himself. Holding himself to a standard most humans wouldn't dare, Raoul curses even the smallest mistake, falling into deep depressions that cause him to get bitter and violent whenever he sinks into them. During these down periods, Raoul often insults his brother, picking on his kinder nature and long term goals, often calling them "pointless" and "childish".
Despite these immature aspects of his personality, Raoul isn't stupid and is infact a highly skilled manipulator. Beyond his arrogance, he can be quite charming with people, especially women. Though an act, he is able to feign genuine consideration and interest with people, allowing him to win over simpler minds with ease. With people that fit the same mold as him, however, he is completely different, often using every chance he can find to elevate himself beyond their "status".
When it comes to his family, Raoul is far less interested in the preservation of his families legacy compared to his brother, but is instead interested in evolving it beyond just another affluent crime family. Though not one to usually look at the long term, Raoul is admittedly better at capturing the grand scheme of the world than his brother, who is more concerned with where they are and what they do. He wants his name to be global, to be known wherever he sets foot or speaks. Ultimately, his desire for power stretches beyond petty things like his families history and name.
He wants to be feared.
HISTORY:
In the morning, panic. In the afternoon, tension. In the evening, two miracles:
Raoul and Favien.
Born on a warm summer day, the fair haired boys were well received by their parents and prestigious crime family associates, met with cheers and laughter upon being brought home. Even as giggling babes the two had unique personalities, often cackling and interacting with the tightly knit structure of the Belgrade Crime Family in ways people wouldn't believe, often bringing even the hardest criminal underlings to smile. Indeed, they were just the miracle the family needed, bringing joy to an otherwise blunt and dark atmosphere.
Through their younger years, the twins became well acquainted the expectations of their father, who laid out the foundation for a rich fighting pedigree as early as 8. While Favien drifted more towards traditional martial arts, Raoul's crueler nature lead him towards the more practical and violent side of things, learning basic grappling and street fighting by 10, before fully mastering the two by 14. Even during spars with adults, Raoul found it easy to tie up and isolate the limbs of the significantly stronger men, using his thinner body and extreme flexibility to submit them, ultimately using their own strength against them. When not being taught how to injure somebody, Raoul was taught who to injure, being instructed by his father specifically on how to properly extort people and use his physical and verbal prowess to get what he wanted. With this training, Raoul quickly grasped the idea and ability of manipulation, a feat he put to use as often as possible.
This theme continued, with the boys going on odd jobs with the family where Raoul's incredible agility, speed and cunning came into play, as well as his willingness to kill without hesitation. Though Favien wasn't quite as quick to get used to the violence that was expected of them, he kept up at a comparable pace, matching Raoul's progress and experience as they went along in years. At the age of 16, however, tragedy struck. While undertaking business behind the boy's backs, the twin's parents were struck down in their prime, killed, burned and thrown to the wind like dust. Hearing of the news through the typical criminal channels, the boys were livid and wanted to act, but were ultimately stopped by the men that inhabited their estate. Driven to his boiling point, Raoul nearly killed one of the men, holding a knife to his neck and threatening to lop his head off if he wasn't released. At this point, the men seemingly broke, spilling the great secret their parents had kept locked away from them for so long.
Their success was attributed to spirits, guardian spirits, specifically. Housed within a wall behind their master bedroom, the family maintained a shrine that allowed them to communicate with spirits long passed, which offered them luck and prosperity, as well as inner strength that eclipsed typical human boundaries. Being shown the methods by the men, however, led to the two of them undertaking a ritual of their own: they offered up themselves and begged for power, using the methods they believed their parents had used for years before. However, the process was performed incorrectly and the two were left damaged physically and spiritually, their souls hypothetically cracking, which two particular spirits swiftly took advantage of. Through this initial contact, the boys were possessed and left confused, unsure as to what had happened when they awoke the next morning. However, upon gathering their thoughts, they noticed that there was another voice inside their heads. For Raoul, it was Mistral, a malicious spirit of wind that thrived on the idea of conquest and frustration. Though typically disgusted with human ventures, the spirit had watched Raoul's family for a long time, sensing the powerful nature his father had maintained for so long. Seeking to originally inhabit their father, Mistral instead inhabited the cracks that formed in Raoul's soul, using him as an initially unwilling host for his own selfish desires.
When Mistral ventured his mind and soul, however, he found out that their views were not so distant.
Mistral quickly noticed the dark nature of Raoul's soul, one filled with the desire to conquer, to lead and to be loved. As the boys grew, being the main monarchs of their family business, Raoul and Mistral used their combined abilities and ideology to take the criminal underworld by storm, his new wind powers alongside his already incredible speed letting him run literal circles around the regular bags of meat that inhabited the majority of criminal syndicates. In a position of power, Raoul developed an obsession with women and intimacy, using his power of coercion to con women into falling in love with him, before ultimately crushing them and discarding them like garbage when a new lover came along. With this new found obsession came a desire to be noticed; to be desired. In pursuit of this, Raoul spent egregious amounts of money on fickle things like jewelry, suits and alterations of the estate, which didn't sit well with Favien. Soon enough, the combination of his frivolous spending and their inexperience with leading a criminal family led to them losing a good portion of their money, which sent the boys into a panic.
Now, they seek to bolster their personal economy as well as make proper use of the gifts they have received and although they have different opinions on how to get there, they both share a similar goal:
The creation of a legacy that will be imprinted on history, now and forever.
