Infected Waters [Mask & Ability Registration]

Born of the subconscious, dying thoughts of her former lover, Fugu's manifestation came about over the course of just over a century. Like most hollowfied personas, Fugu is very much the opposing factor of Kawa herself, yet at the same time, very similar to her host. She holds an extremely high intellect, and very much the hungered thirst found among those of her kind. She is calculated and can remain calm under most circumstances, and often never expresses her true form when confronting Kawa. In their first encounter, Fugu had taken the form of Kawa's former lover, Quinn, the man Kawa had attempted to save, and the same man whom she had received her initial infection. Having been present within Kawa since that time, she has come to understand Kawa more than she knows herself, and knows every secret and weakness she holds. She can take on many forms, though prior to their initial meeting, could never truly take a physical form. At first, there was a conflict of personalities, as the lingering presence of a man long since passed remained ever presence within the Hollowfied form now claiming full residence within Kawa's inner world. As the Hollowfied portion grew more and more dominant, however, what was left of Quinn remains nothing but ashed embers of a dead flame.

Physically, Fugu can take on many forms. Over the course of a century, she was merely an infectious entity within Kawa's inner world, kept at bay by the constant forms of purification and healing Kido Kawa underwent since that day. Now, however, she reflects Kawa's physical features, though will often alter her appearance in order to shake Kawa's resolve, often forming as her lover, a monstrous beast, or perhaps, a twisted version of Kawa herself. Fugu is a very patient entity, having resided within Kawa for nearly a century, and is prepared to wait just as long in order to take full control...

ENHANCED DURABILITY

As a master of the healing arts, Kawa's ability to control her spiritual form to the point of enduring through incredible feats increases greatly when donning her mask. With the increase of spiritual power, her aura now acts subconsciously as a shield in order for her to continue fighting near endlessly without worrying of her body's limitations. Of course, that's not to say she has no limits; abusing such a powerful ability will fatigue her spiritual reserve, tiring her out more quickly than normal. This ability allows her to suppress all forms of physical and spiritual pain (though will certainly feel the effects later), grant her an enhanced form of endurance to physical and spiritual damage, and encase her in a dense coat of condensed spiritual pressure. While certainly a useful ability, the effects are not permanent, and as such, Kawa will suffer the effects of pushing her spiritual limits a day later, completely fatigued and pained in accordance to the damage and spiritual exhaustion required of this ability.

ADRENALINE JUNKIE

Holding a great understanding of the spiritual body and great control over her own, Kawa is able to manipulate her own body to the point where she can activate her adrenaline glands, allowing a sudden rush of blood to flow through her spiritual body. Her heart races at an inhumane four-hundred beats per minute, giving her the sense of time distortion, as everything around her seems to slow down, and allows her mind to focus on several things at one time. Her senses and reflexes increase vastly with this adrenaline rush, allowing her to push her body beyond its normal limitation. Speed, reaction-time, and endurance are increased, tying in to her previous ability and amplifying it (or activating it automatically with this ability). Visually, her hollowfied aura becomes more apparent and dense. Because this ability is more focused on her hollowfied side, she expresses more Hollow-like tendencies and twisted facial expressions while using this ability. Such an ability, though certainly useful in a fight, does not come without its consequences. Adrenaline activation can be used up to four posts without fear of exhaustion, with equal post-count cool-down rate, and an a max of only twice per thread (per day).

Any further use will start to affect the user physically, mentally, and spiritually, pulling energy from her spiritual core, and if used too greatly, the user's own life force. Going beyond four posts will being to drain the user's spiritual core in order to sustain the constant rush of adrenaline as well as keep the body going under the constantly stressed state. Doubling the post-count will usher in the symptoms of spiritual exhaustion; deactivation of this ability will exhaust the user of their spiritual core and reserves, causing them to become faint and unfocused, and require immediate medical attention. Tripling the time-frame will exhaust the user of their very own life force; deactivation at this point could become deadly, as their own spiritual and even psychological state would receive a great shock if the rush of adrenaline is suddenly stopped. As such, stopping at this point is likely not an option, and slowing down the user's heart rate is an immediate focus while simultaneously keeping their mind and spiritual state conscious; should the user lose consciousness, it's likely their spiritual and physical form will revert to complete spiritual exhaustion, and in the best case scenario, fall into a deep coma until their spiritual core is able to be repaired from the immense stress. Other than that, death is likely the result of pushing past this limitation.

TAINTED WATER

Kawa is able to twist her normally purified Shikai and Bankai abilities into a more corrupted form. Healing abilities become poisonous, and the very water she uses becomes toxic, infected by the very Hollow residing within her soul. Her normal bluish aura becomes tainted in a dark, stale violet, and the water itself used with her techniques becomes thick and black, with the stench of death itself; the very embodiment of corruption Kawa has dealt with for over a century.
