Agility Novice: She's still human, simply put. While able to augment her movement abilities with her water manipulation, that's about as far as it goes - on her own she's plenty fast, but still well within the limits of the human norm, the only exception being her incredible stamina and ability to run far longer than most before feeling anything approaching fatigue.
Perception Practitioner: Having more or less carried the ability to see spirits and ghosts ever since she could remember, Izumi has devoted next to no time to developing it further. While she is able to see what most people can't, her ability stops there as she cannot feel souls from a distance or pick out a distinctive "feel" of any individual one unless she is standing virtually right next to them.
High Spiritual Power: Despite being human now and by birth, the origin of Izumi's soul is rather unique. Typically speaking, all souls are generally identical when their lives end on any individual plane - they theoretically become simple energy that travels from one world to the next in what is supposed to be a never ending cycle. In Izumi's case, however, her soul had rather unusual beginnings - as a mod soul that was improperly disposed of when the Soul Society canceled the original project aiming to develop disposable soldiers for controlling the Hollow threat, it instead entered the same cycle as every other soul in moving from one world to another. Unlike those, however, the very fact that it was a modified soul meant that a few of the usual rules did not apply. Rather than remaining at a relatively static level of ability from one life to the next, Izumi's had "matured" as it passed on again and again, the malleable nature of it allowing the soul to take bits of its former lives with it each time. Aside from granting Izumi her own unique ability as well as others that her ancestors had obtained from the same cycle, the soul has also carried a small fraction of the power from those lives into her own. As a result of this Izumi's spiritual power is far above and beyond what most humans will ever be capable of.
Spiritual Control Master: The first real skill that Izumi was taught, mastering her ability to hide her presence became a matter of survival on an almost daily basis once arriving on the mainland. While not particularly adept at exerting her presence, Izumi can all but disappear from even the most practiced sensor's awareness. This skill was also honed due to the fact that it directly ties into her ability to control the elements that Izumi has learned to manipulate - while the volumn of any given substance that she can control at once is limited by the amount of power she has at her disposal, her level of control dictates exactly what she can do with what she has.
Hand to Hand Novice: A direct result of her earlier habit of punching first and debating never, Izumi is quite well versed in street fighting...... or at least she used to be. More than a little rusty due to her current policy of having avoided fights over the last few years, her above average physical strength does her little good, especially due to the need to hold back against normal humans and thanks to the fact that she has zero formal training to back up what little experience she has accrued. She can beat down most humans with a single solid punch and give someone a bad, bad day if she managed to land a blow on something on par with an unseated Shinigami, but beyond that she's shit out of luck.
Techniques:
Elemental Manipulation - Water: The first true ability that Izumi picked up over nearly five years ago, Izumi's mastery with the power has developed to the point where the woman's techniques with it are nearly boundless. Capable of shaping, freezing, melting and outright levitating the substance as well as modifying its "hardness" and fortifying it with enough reishi to be able to rival most released zanpakutos in terms of sheer durability as a shield or solid substance, the speed with which she can do any one of these things is limited only by how fast she can think and react. Due to being only human this admittedly makes it a less than perfect defense, although that is offset by her skill with the technique and the sheer amount of water she can control at any given time. Able to pull water from virtually any source including even the air, it is extremely difficult to prevent her from using this ability. While still very far off from reaching her full potential due to still having room to improve both her spiritual power and control, the ability still makes Izumi a formidable force should she ever choose to use it. While able to use the ability with her mind alone, using her arms and hands to help visualize what she intends to do can greatly increase the power behind the technique if she is having trouble focusing.
Elemental Manipulation - Fire: The second of Izumi's two current abilities and one gained from a past life, her skill with it is far less impressive than what she can do with water. With only six months of time and effort put towards mastering it, Izumi thankfully benefited enough from her degree of control over her spiritual power that she at least doesn't have to worry about unintentionally setting things ablaze. Beyond that, however, her ability has reached its limit without further use, practice and refinement - for the moment Izumi is only capable of heating held objects, smothering existing flames, creating new ones and launching them as ballistic balls of fire from her hands with no guidance beyond the effect of gravity. Thankfully the ability has also granted her a heavy resistance to fire when using it, a fact that Izumi discovered rather quickly.

- Modified Reiatsu: Izumi's reiatsu is, bluntly put, rather unique. While she is careful to keep it hidden almost the point of obsession after her only encounter with Hollows, were one to pick it out of the crowd it would not feel quite human. While there would be definite base to it due to the number of times her soul has been reincarnated within human form, the soul has still never managed to quite shake off the distinctive trace feeling that most sensors get from artificially created souls, a legacy of its origins.
