conviction01: gift of wrath

The Esh-Khan forces were met with the spiritual gravity of the Quinta Espada, the wrath of Conviction. The bulk of the invading army fell to the irrefutable force, and found their faces and steel importing to the ground, their heartbeats lessening. The majority of the guards and citizens throughout the plenitude of the city found solace from the pillaging, but their adrenaline would not go to waste. There were a few hundred mighty enough to not only withstand the force of Ao, but continue wreaking havoc within and outside the gates. Blood continued to spill, and the death counts of both armies ramped upward. And even the threatened Quatra Espada felt beads of sweat slithering down his forehead, but the lion was not the cause of it; all the more reason for the Aspect of Wrath to stand passive and sadistically cackle.

The shirtless king released his fury upon the clashing forces, incinerating a mass of the Orcs as well as his forces. And yet gigantic beam met the foot of an enormous beast of destruction that kicked the Gran Rey Cero into the outer edges of the kingdom with ease! The gates of the Nameless Kingdom detonated with the spiritual energies of the Quinta, placing the entirety of the structure in shambles! The cries of innocents continued to pervert the air and the clashing of blades and howls of war did nothing to alleviate the annihilation. The dual-headed elephant-like Vasto Lorde stomped its feet downward, accidentally splattering a mixed selection of war forces, with even hundreds of more Orcs charging around the humongous feet.

The creature stretched miles upward, muscles penetrating the clouds with as many arms to match the Quinta’s maximum amount of Zanpakutō, and judging by the mere spiritual force of the beast, he would need to fetch them all in order to have a chance at surviving this encounter. The Vasto Lorde’s trunk roped into the clouds, trumpeting the sound waves and sending a massive convulsion through the lands and beyond, and any being capable of hearing had their eardrums crushed, or if they were powerful enough, they would suffer a disrupting disorientation.

Vaaen Vorenz stood still inside the gates, trembling with fear and exhilaration; fire engulfed his body and clothing, and as the structure collapsed upon his being, he did not move a muscle—there was only cackles. He had brought unfathomable wrath.

THE WORLD RAZER

There was fighting in the distance. Nabill could hear it hundreds of miles away, and now that he was closer he could see it as well. He crouched on the crest of a massive dune, watching as an army broke upon the walls of the Nameless Kingdom. Ao Lan Shi’s spiritual power was fierce enough to be clearly sensed at this distance, though it was dwarfed by the monstrous hollow that towered over the mountains. Few monsters were as large, and even fewer as intimidating. Still, such large prey was nothing more than a foot note in the history of Hueco Mundo. 

“General, orders?” Jax asked. 

Nabill looked over his shoulder. Jax was a tall arrancar whose body was wrapped head to toe in white bandages. He was blind, but his pesquisa was impossibly strong. To call it perfected was an understatement. A grey cloak covered Jax from the neck, and a hood hid his wrapped face. 

Looking back towards the battlefield, Nabill stood. His eyes were narrowed. “We watch.” 

Within seconds, a well-armed Lion had charged forth with a palpable aura of savagery enveloping him, and any Esh-Khan vanguards unfortunate enough to be within then vicinity of his wrath. The deathly growls of Orcs steadily consumed the sound waves as their countless bodies slumped to the floor. And yet as blood gathered about the Espada’s six blades, that gorgeous assistant of his would not go unnoticed. As she flew past the battlefield in a high-speed motion, the mightiest of the demonic warriors leapt forth to ruthlessly grasp her limbs and clothing, throwing various axes and swords to claw her skin.

And throughout that same token, the roaring elephant swiftly gathered white reiryoku about each and every gigantic hand it possessed, discharging six beams of spiritual energy; each as powerful, speedy, and sizable as the Gran Rey Cero previously fired. The first five jetted straight towards what was standing of the flaming kingdom, no doubt exploding and completely leveling the entirety of the structure. And upon those detonations, no screams would overpower the ambience of clashing war—for virtually everyone inside the Nameless Kingdom had long since expired.

The last Cero, however, fired towards a more interesting target; Anese. The spiritual blast sped towards her at a disgusting rate, and even if the Esh-Khan forces failed to slow her booming movements, the white beam would have left no trace of anyone, even if they had one of the strongest skins in existence. A swift savior would be the only thing to prevent a funeral, and attempting to safeguard her from the blast would be a gamble of history, for even the collateral damage would give a scorched battering to Vaaen and Nabill alike.

Scarcely one hundred of the invading vanguards found themselves lucky enough to have a heartbeat. If their combined forces weren’t destroyed by the Quinta Espada, the bulk of them were being crushed by the feet of the World Razer, or cremated from the multiple discharged beams. Those fortunate few were busy clashing with the remaining guards, their animalistic nature being overpowered by the morale that the furious Lion inspired.

“…Raargh!!”

The Vasto Lorde’s feet mimicked its trunk, rising in pure agony with a forceful wail! The released Espada had left a gigantic steaming hole in its stomach, causing the humongous beast to literally fall from grace; falling from clouds to a huge patch of sand for what seemed to be minutes in perspective—all while vulnerable, or so it would seem. Upon the heartbeat that it hit the dirt, the dual-headed creature mechanically revolved its heads, bringing the Ogre-head to frontal vision. Within seconds, the entirety of the clouds dispersed, and the sky turned purple with eerie black droplets of liquid beginning to cascade from the mutated sky.

The World Razer’s prominent head roared, while beginning to convulse violently with a spiritual black sphere swiftly amassing at the tip of its tongue.

Despite their vast differences in spiritual strength, it seemed as if there was nothing mightier than the enraged lion on the battlefield—every sapient being within a kilometer could see that; genius or simpleton. But the World Razer was a construct of sin that was not to be underestimated. Droplets of demonic black rain cascaded upon the Gran Rey Cero, evaporating atop the humongous spiritual blast as it neared the downed beast. And moments before the blast made an example of the creature, it withered into the ether, revealing floating black leeches to be the cause!

Through that heartbeat the raindrops that contacted the Espada’s shoulder transformed into more black leeches that instantly began to suction the spiritual energy from his body, and every single droplet of liquid from the sky mutated into more as they reached his level of atmosphere! Had he allowed them to stay for more than a minute, his energy would have been halfway depleted. The unworldly worms tapped about the sand, and began purposefully crawling towards the downed Vasto Lorde, creeping about the huge feet as they neared the gaping hole of the creature’s stomach.

“You…die!”

Upon the next moment of madness, the massive sphere amassing within the Ogre’s mouth launched like a rocket towards the aerial Arrancar. Had he been unlucky enough to be touched by it, he would the eye of a nuclear explosion that not consumed foes through incineration, but suctioned reishi and reiryoku like an atomic vortex.

The Quinta Espada was nothing but pure lucky that his ultimate Cero clashed against the World Razer’s sphere, though his eyes would notice it only slowed it down heavily, as the Gran Rey was nothing but a meal to the ball, and with his evasive movements the spherical attack simply traveled two miles behind. There was no trace of existence of the mountains encompassing the ruins of the mountains; there was only a dynamic explosion on atomic levels that spread into the black sky in the form of a mushroom, shooting forth a powerful blast of wind to everyone on and off the battlefield.

The rain would gradually meet its end as the seconds passed, and only one hundred more leeches would fall down towards the enraged lion, the biblical creature, and the few left on the battlefield.

“Raawwrrrggh! You die!”

In the moments that Ao contacted the beast’s thigh, he found a rocky foothold as the creature twisted and turned in a slow motion to rise to its feet. Two arms levered against the ground while the other four flew towards the imposing Espada in four consecutive backhands and smashes. To another bout of fortune, the creature was nothing but slow, but had the Quinta fallen to the snare of the multiple twist and turns and actually felt a physical blow from the World Razer, he would feel the pain of a physically god slapping him. And in the moments to come, the fierce beast would have been back on its feet, and it would have been beyond infuriated.
