Katsunaga, Ryohei; Release, Skills, Techniques

Initial Appearance: In it's unreleased form, Raikoutenmei's takes the appearance of a katana. The hilt guard is a golden yellow while the hilt of his sword is a bright yellow, with black diamonds that run along the hilt. The sheathe is customized, as the outside of the sheathe is black and engraved with yellow markings throughout.

Inner World: When one first enters the world, its consisted of a forest that borders a never ending ocean. The sky is cloudy and gray, signifying that it will soon rain but it never does. The sound of thunder and the flash of lightning are seen and heard throughout the area. In the distance, a palace can be seen in the clouds. From first glance it appears that the palace is floating and has no support underneath it. Arriving at the temple in the clouds, its first appearance is that of gold. The temple is consisted of long steps leading to the the front entrance, which are giant doors with intricate designs throughout. On the outside, the temple is consisted for smalls towers that surround the buildings with windows on them. The buildings is not seen at its maximum height, as the rest of the temple is blocked by clouds. When walking in, the temple is surrounded by various statues of animals and what looks like candles, but are really flickers of spiritual pressure. At the end of the temple, a shrine can be seen, surrounded by various offerings of random objects, mostly from Ryohei's life. It is here where Raikoutenmei can be seen praying.

Spirit Appearance: Raikoutenmei's size varies on each time Ryohei visits him. He could be the same size as him or tower over him like a god and anywhere between. Raikoutenmei's appearance is that of a young man, probably in his early twenty's, with light tan skin and black hair. The front of his head is covered by what looks like traditional headpiece, while his free flowing hair is in the back. From his chest down, he is shirtless, though his arms and abdomen can be seen with many pieces of gold jewelry. Below, he wears tan color pants with a sash that acts like a belt. On his back, there is a red drape that covers his neck.

Shikai Appearance: While releasing his zanpakuto, the sword starts to produce an electric aura which engulfs the sword and the lower part of his arm. After this happens, his sword starts to change shape, where the katana is now replaced with a double edged nagamaki, with two other points that protrude from the side. Each blade sparks with electricity. The handle of the weapon is black with markings engraved on it. The lower part of his arms are covered with some kind of armor, where gauntlets form over his fists.

• Denka Kyuushuu (かでんアサルト, Electric Charge Assault) When using this attack, His nagamaki sparks with electricity, and then slashes the air, making a arc of lightning which flies towards the enemy. This is one of his more basic attacks, and can be used in both his shikai and his bankai.

• Enrai Shouheki (らいバリア, Thunder Barrier) While using this technique, his gauntlet produces a shield made reistsu, making can block kido attacks and energy attacks, but not physical ones.

• Yuuenikazuchi Gokaikukei (ごうてきらいごかく, Grand Thunder Pentagon) This attack creates several balls of reistsu which gives off the appearance of balls of electricity, Then strands of lightning connect the balls to each other, which produces a large pillar of electricity striking the opponent. This is not a instant kill move, but leaves the opponent with serious wounds.

Bankai Appearance: When using his bankai, the upper part of his body starts gaining the same markings that were on his sword, and spread all throughout his chest, arms and abdomen. The armor and gauntlets disappear completely, leaving no trace. His nagamaki warps in shape, turning into a bisento with engravings on the long staff. Behind him, a circle of balls of electricity are connected by a gold rod suspend and aimlessly float wherever Ryohei goes. Each of the balls have the same symbol on them. Because of the use of his bankai, Ryohei inadvertently changes the weather to cloudy with thunder and lightning.

• Amatsu Rakurai (あまつらくらい, Heavenly Thunderbolts) The user creates several bright beams or lightning and shoots them at the enemy. A halo of bright energy spreads from the series of balls on his back as this technique is activated. The beams are able to alter their direction after being shot, making it possible to strike multiple enemies with pinpoint accuracy, even bypassing hostages held in close proximity. Although he can control the thunderbolt, as they get farther, they get harder to control

• Chokugan Banrai (ちょくがんばんらい, Imperial Prayer of Heavy Thunder) Using this technique, the user produces two large hands made from electricity. The hands are placed far apart, sometimes with the opponent in the middle, then the user makes the hands clap with each other, mimicking the sound of thunder. The result is a massive shockwave that crushes everything in its path, though it is not enough to fatally kill a spiritual conscious person.

• Kokuhyou (こくひょう, Damnation) In order to use this attack, the user needs to gather a whole lot of spiritual energy to use. His bisento starts to spin rapidly, gaining more and more energy and electricity. As it starts to spin, the balls of lightning that are on his back are absorbed into the weapon, in which the result is a giant blue lightning blast that is capable of destroying buildings. This is his most powerful move so far.
