[font color="304b69" size="4"]SABISHI[/font][font size="4"]HIME[/font][/div][blockquote][blockquote][div align="justify"]Kosuke's zanpaktou wears the name Sabishihime, The Lonely Princess. Nothing lies out of the ordinary for the katana pre-release save for it's thin diamond shaped guard and navy blue tape that bandages the hilt. Sabishihime takes on the appearance of a [a href="http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/345/2/8/titania_asuna_by_hendrix7733-d5nq9rh.png"]beautiful[/a] pointed eared princess. Her face is constantly in a frown and the very voice she speaks in is eternally filled with sorrow. Just from simply hearing her voice may one fall victim to her sadness and feel grief themselves. Sabishihime is named so because she is forever locked away in an endless [a href="http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb394/Omgxpuff/9f8b6fe8-f21a-4867-ba06-dd65bde7623d_zps0bc4d5e2.png"]abyss[/a]- as is the inner world. By calling the release phrase "Kussun, Sasishihime" (sob, lonely princess), the sword takes on a slightly different appearance. Once navy blue, the hilt becomes somewhat darker so that it is barely visible in darkness, and out from the bottom of the hilt sprouts two bells attached to a string. The bells are the source of the swords abilities, each ability being a different song sung by Sabishihime. Since each abilitiy is a different song requiring the bells, no two songs can be sung in unison. The blade actually shortens from four feet to three after reaching release, though besides that no other changes can be seen in the blade.
[blockquote]一室[[b]ISSHITSU[/b]] (One Room) - One Room is the main combat ability of Sabishihime. The bells at the end of the hilt serve the purpose of spreading the shikai's ability. Upon activation, the bells at the end of the hilt begin to ring, anyone in a twenty meter radius is able to hear the ringing. The ringing noise directly affects a targets equilibrioception functions; the closer the target is to Sabishihime's bells, the more intense the effect. The first aspect of the ability plays on the targets visual system; slowly their vision(visual perception) will dull, prolonged exposure to the sound will result in the target simply having blurred sight. As the targets entire equilibrioception funcitons are being affected, the vestibular system as well as the targets sense of where they are in space are dulled like the visual system. With these systems affected, the target would find balance extremely difficult as well as a false idea of their position. Attacking and dodging become challenging.
悔悟[[b]KAIGO[/b]] (remorse) - A song of sadness, the bells at the hilt of Sabishihime ring with a unique tune, sparking a growing feeling of regret in those in a twenty meter radius. The feeling of regret grows with each movement the target makes, eventually causing hesitation when they make even basic motions.
安心[[b]ANSHIN[/b]] (relief)- Anshin is a song similar to Kaigo, though with a different tune and effect. Rather than generate a feeling of sadness or remorse, Anshin generates a feeling of great relaxation to those in the twenty meter radius. At first the targets hearing the sound of the bells would feel as if a pressure or weight had been lifted from their body. The longer they stay in the range of the ability the more their muscles relax, making it difficult to move about.

[font size="4"][font color="d3350e"]SABISHI [/font]KISAKI ITTEN[/font][/div][blockquote][blockquote][div align="justify"] In her bankai form, Sabishihime has discarded her title of Lonely Princess for a name more fitting of her new power; Lonely Empress of Heaven. After calling the word “bankai” a radiant light is emitted from Kosuke’s blade, covering a huge radius of one hundred meters. When the light settles, those in the area would find that they have been encased in a massive bell two hundred meters high and four hundred meters all around. The area is completely closed in, sealing to the very ground providing no light whatsoever though more than abundant air even if one were to heat up the inside. At the ceiling of the bell, about the size of a smart car, is the clapper of the bell which emits the sounds needed to invoke Sabishihime’s shikai techniques. Kosuke’s attire changes to match that of the sword demon [a href="http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb394/Omgxpuff/samuraikyosmooth1200_zps69f215d2.jpg"]Kuzashi[/a] whos essence fused with the Ryuuamine’s own spirit. Bankai gives Kosuke the demon’s sleevless crimson haori, the ends long, tattered, and flowing with the winds. Crimson gauntlets as well as shoulder guards are also placed upon the Shinigami, all allusions to his father. Along with these cosmetic changes, Kosuke is able to retain Sabishihime in her shikai form. Any caught within the bell are susceptible to all of its abilities, save for Kosuke who is immune to its crippling abilities.
[blockquote]円寂[[b]ENJAKU[/b]] (nirvana) – In order to ensure Kosuke does not fall victim to illusions, even in the darkness of the bell, the clapper would emit a tone heard by all. This tone constantly fills the brains of those within, disallowing them to fall under the effects of illusions that would affect their senses. While he himself cannot activate this tone, the Enjaku ability is more of a reaction than technique, activating when any of Kosuke’s senses are lowered. The ability serves to coat the areas of the brain where the senses would be affected in reishi, protecting them from illusions. Kosuke finds that while his targets are protected from illusions, they may fall under the effects of his blades shikai abilities as they are sounds that dull the senses or generate concepts in the targets mind rather than false visuals, sensations, tastes, or sounds.
暗室[[b]ANSHITSU[/b]] (dark room)- A sound is emitted from the clapper which is heard by all within the bell besides Kosuke. The sound of the bell is the Lonely Empress herself, screaming into the very depths of the targets ears, blocking out any sounds that they would otherwise pick up. This ability completely shuts down the targets sense of sound, coupled with the complete darkness of the shikai which results in all but Kosuke being incapable of sight or hearing.
