The blade with the long name certainly does not look all that impressive. A simple katana with brown hilt and a slightly stained steel blade. Nothing more, really.

[ZANPAKUTŌ SPIRIT & HABITAT]
The exact nature of Aki's spirit and spiritworld are pretty much the only topics she consequently dodges, should they come up. For the moment, she keeps those secrets close to her heart.

[SHIKAI PRESENTATION]
Releasing her blade causes some slight alterations to the design. It stays a simple sword of moderate length, but the guard gains a peculiar accessory: a round, black dial with purple arms. The latter move either to the right or the left, depending on which direction they manipulate time in at any given moment. The movement of the arms mimics a watch, however them moving backwards is an indicator of time being slowed, not going backwards, at least in shikai. That is just for convenience's sake, so it is always clear which is being used. It takes a bit to switch from forward to backward and vice versa.

[SHIKAI ABILITIES]

SEITEKI KIHOU [静的 気泡, STATIC BUBBLE]
Slashing the air in front of her while while the arms on the dial move backward, Aki can create a short-lived time bubble. At least to outside spectators, this bubble exists only for a short duration, not more than thirty seconds. However, time inside the bubble is ground to a halt, whatever enters it will experience near stasis once it enters fully, making this the best choice to stop projectiles and attacks. Like most bubbles created by her Shikai, these bubbles expand to a sphere like shape, with the beginning and end of the slash being the diameter.

ASOI  BATSU  [鈍い 伐, LATE STRIKE]
Hitting a foe with Jikantekinanakago while the arms on the dial move backward causes a time-bubble to form around the hit area, which slows down time inside. The bubble is usually constrained to the length of a cut, but usually engulfs the whole limb if it, slowing down the progression of time. The borders integrate flawlessly into the normal time stream, causing no additional damage. However, nerve signals and movements of the affected limb are slowed down for x post, restricting movements.

HAYAI BATSU [早い 伐, EARLY STRIKE]
Hitting a foe while  the arms on the dial move forward causes wounds to be engulfed in a bubble of accelerated time. The affected area reacts and moves faster, but also bleeds faster, while causing additional strain.

NAKIDOKORO [泣き所, VULNERABLE POINT]
Akin to Seiteki Kihou, this technique involves Aki slashing the air to create a bubble in which time flows different. With the arms moving forward though, time inside the bubble is accelerated, which naturally speeds up everything moving through the bubble.

[BANKAI PRESENTATION]
When in bankai, the Zanpakutou is slightly altered again, with the guard growing to encompass most of Aki's hand like a glove, framed by an even bigger dial. The dial gains a second layer of arms below the first. The biggest change, however, is in the blade itself, instead of steel, it now appears to be made of something else entirely: a purple, glowing metal. The blade's surface shows random, whirling patterns of glowing lines, as if it was fluid and in motion.

[BANKAI ABILITIES]

GOBUN NO HANTEN [五分の反転, 5-MINUTE REVERSAL]
When using this ability, Aki holds the blade upright in front of her, off-hand pressed onto the back of the dial. Then, a purple sphere extends from the blade, engulfing the vicinity and turning back the time within, while everything outside of the dome flows naturally. This returns everything to the state it was five minutes ago, although not necessarily the position or stance. This always encompasses both Aki and her opponents, unless they brought some serious distance between them and her. This ability has the arms on the second layer spin backwards at immense speed.

TAIMEAUTO [タイムアウト, TIMEOUT]
Hitting thin air in front of her, or an enemy, Aki creates a bubble of slight purple of about a car's size. Everything caught by the bubble or entering it will be brought to a full standstill, as time stops within the bubble. However, since not even her own blade can enter it in this state, whatever gets caught by it is also impervious to harm while inside. The arms on the second layer stop shortly, when this ability is activated.

GOBUN NO KETSUJITSU [五分の結実, 5-MINUTE REALIZATION]
This ability has the arms on the second layer spin forward. However, as the future, even just five minutes, is impossible to predict, the bubble created by this ability does not just forward to the result that would have happened in a natural time-flow, but instead to the future created by simply continuing whatever action was currently happening, without the slightest alteration to its logical conclusion. Hence this technique, which also creates a purple dome around the sword, finds most use in guaranteeing that a hit would go through to the end, although it also locks Aki into a certain action, unable to defend herself if she misjudges the effects of something already in play.
