If there is one thing that made the desert beautiful, it is the fact that it is so white and blank. Like sheets of paper, newly made and not yet lined with the story that needed to be told. Blank paper was a beginning, and yet it also could be an end, for when the pages of writing end, there is always one or two blank pages left. However, many stories continued on, in sequels.
Himiko didn't remember her life as a human anymore, except for small brief glimpses into her old life's memory. It was never enough to piece together to first book of her life, but just enough to get the general picture. However, her life as a hollow was as clear in her mind as if it had been engrained into her skin. Her creation, her first years living in fear, and then her many years of triumph. But now, at the peak of her growth, she knew not what to do now or where to go and that frustrated her more so than anything had in her life as a hollow.
The wind howled around and over her as she walked calmly across one of the higher sand dunes, tossing her lilac hair with its angry throws, and blasting sand against her armored skin. Behind her, her long tail lashed back and forth, as if reflecting on the inner storm raging within its owner. Himiko's very face was set with a stiff glare from her cheekbones down, but from the cheek up, her face was covered in her mask, keeping her eyes hidden from view and the world hidden from her eyes. Pale armored hands were clenched in tight fists at her sides as she continued to ponder her curious situation.
Himiko was a Vasto Lorde, the top of the hollow food chain, and though she was proud of herself for coming so far, she was unsure of what to do next. The hunger that had lead her for years was gone now, and now she was truly walking blind out here in the deserts of Hueco Mundo. Yes her other senses other than sight helped guide her, but that wasn't what made her blind now. With the hunger gnawing at her chest, she had been given a purpose, sate it. Now without it, she was simply just wandering the desert, not even interested in other hollow anymore.
She briefly pondered if this was the way Vasto Lorde's were destined to live their lives, wandering until purpose came to them. Himiko had heard in her younger years that some still killed other hollow, just for fun, but to her.. Killing without purpose was senseless and dishonorable, and just wrong in her opinion. So for now, she wandered and wondered as she trekked across these endless dunes.
