Konrad stood vigil at the door, prepared for any threat. He expected power, and he didn't discount the fact that there were people much stronger than him in the world. However; It was highly improbable that he would stand down in the event of a confrontation. The man had tried to make small talk with him before, but Konrad was a man of few words. He was a man of action, one that could be considered reliable. He generally disliked being with people, and the man had realized that, abandoning whatever prospects of conversation he had entertained.

His train of thought was interrupted by a noise. A door came hurling at him.

Konrad turned avoiding the flying door.

The man Konrad was protecting was behind him, the white haired man's eyes widened as he whispered a name in fear.

"Emil Heidrich."

A flashy entrance for an even flashier man. An explosion of power that instantly smothered Konrad. His gaze was unflinching, as was the man who entered. It was clear this man was much stronger than him. What exactly was the man?

He had only come to recently know that more people like him existed, was this one of those people?

Konrad let the questions rest, saving them for later. For now he must deal with the intruder. He didn't dilute himself with the thought that he could possible defeat the individual. He was under the services of the white-haired man, so even if he could not eliminate the threat, he could stall it.

The shadows coagulated around him, but the chains didn't appear, Konrad would save that ability for later. He straightened his posture, he was much taller than the little man.

"I'm sure if he was expecting anything else, I would not be here."

His words reflected the other mans tone. His strength was irrelevant to Konrad. Even if he lost the battle, this man would at least sate his appetite for knowledge of the spiritual world. It was obvious by his control of the strength he was emanating that he was knowledgeable.

The man approached, faint green circles appeared at Konrad's feet and the shadows began to cover his right forearm.

Confrontation was inevitable.

Emil Heidrich

The man he was protecting was scared shitless. This Emil fellow was clearly a force to be reckoned with. Konrad wasn't one to back down and accept defeat. Not that he didn't hold the capacity to do so. Mr. Anderson was innocent as far as Konrad was concerned, he didn't involve himself with whatever matters had troubled Anderson. It was very much possible that Anderson was a good man and that he was being hunted for angering some evil power. It was a bit cliche, but hey, whatever helped Konrad sleep at night.

Arrogance bled out of Emil, it surrounded his very presence and it was almost palpable. Konrad was not an arrogant man, and he disliked the trait in other men. It warranted rash and otherwise unsound actions. Konrad was no stranger to bullets, and he certainly wasn't slow. Emil pulled out his gun and fired two shots, the motions were lightning fast, the characteristic of a trained man. This was something Emil had done over and over again. Killing was his forte it seemed, in that regard the two men were very much alike. No normal man could follow the bullets, but Konrad could. This was not the first time he'd been shot at. Green circles appeared at his feet, he dashed to the right the bullets hitting the ground and ricocheting into a nearby desk causing it to splinter. One of them had grazed his leg, it seemed that this man was fast, faster than even Konrad.

Emil pointed his gun at Konrad, and then disappeared. Not even Konrad could follow the movement, but he knew what was happening. Emil would appear at Anderson and hold him captive. Konrad turned out to be correct in that assumption. His eye's narrowed at Emil, this man was fast and skilled beyond belief, but Konrad still had his ace.

Konrad was fast as lightning, no normal eye would follow his movements, he expected that Emil would be the exception. The smugness of his, it unsettled Konrad. He heard mentions of something called the Quincy, it was familiar, possibly from one of his Russian father's rambling? Had he been debriefed by a group called the Quincy before he had been discharged.

The green circles appeared at his feet as he dashed towards Emil. His hand was no covered in the ethereal chains. If emil made no move to dodge or release Anderson he would feel a light brush on the arm holding the dagger. Chains would appear shortly afterwards and tighten themselves to the point where he would no longer be able to move his hand for a short period of time

If he did dodge then they would both be back at square one. He stopped behind Emil, waiting for the blond to make his own move.


If the savagery Emil exhibited was meant to frighten Konrad, he did not show it. His face remained the same, cold and calculated. Devoid of almost all emotion.
