JŪNIBANTAI, 3RD - Shiroharu, Chiyo

SHIROHARU, CHIYO      ALIAS: Shiro | RACE: Shinigami, Junibantai | RANK: 3rd Seat | AGE: 27, Unknown Genetics..  APPEARANCE: Shiro has full-female body, curves and all. She has a lanky body, she stands about five feet, nine close to six feet and generally near the same height as an average male. Shiro has silver-white long hair, with bangs framing her face. Her hair is usually tied back into a high ponytail, though it still pretty long. She wears the normal Shinigami garb, though she has adjusted the length a bit to fall just above her knees. Over that she wears a gray long, haori and on her feet she wears knee high high-heel boots that seem to have come from the human world. She also wears fingerless short gloves. Though, however when she is required to she wears the normal Shinigami Shihakushō. PERSONALITY: Chiyo has a generally kind and rather charismatic personality. On her outer shell, she seems to get along pretty well with everyone else and is a good-doer. When around others she seems to always have a smile across her face. Shiro likes to help others and is rather caring about others to an extent. At times she can seem a bit aloof, or distant and other times she can be affectionate. Most see the kind and affectionate side of her, however she is mainly distant when fighting others and as well as fighting hollows. Shiro has always had an eye for scientific stuff. When she is working on something she can seem a bit maniacal. She is crazy about studying things, even to the point of dissecting them. She often makes jokes about dissecting some of her comrades; though none truly know if she would actually dissect them. And to her most everything is a test, or in some instances a game. Everyday she and others are being tested, she likes to see people's reactions to things that are really uncomfortable. She would even probably put a comrade in distressing position to see what they would do, though she has never gone that far, yet. She also always seems to be in the laboratories in her division, even on her free time. She is either working on something scientific, or reading a book about science. She likes to learn about how things work, the mechanics of them. Her mind also seems to store a vast amount of information, that she spurts out long, scientific words that others don't often understand. HISTORY: HUMAN LIFE Shiro was born in Europe to a somewhat wealthy family. She was a coddled as a young girl, since her parents had the wealth to offer her a protective life. Her human name is unknown to her, though she has vague visions/memories of her time as a human, some of them good others bad...like how she died. As a young lady her mother taught her to be very ladylike, though she did like to play and occasionally got her clothes dirty which she would receive a scolding from. She kept most of her playing with boys secret from her mother from then on, a maid watched over her and she would often change clothes so she wouldn't get in trouble with her mom. She grew out of this phase a bit as her mom stressed things upon her; playing the piano, learning, being a lady, and inevitably looking for a suitor, and husband, for her. However, she was in no way ready to marry. However, her mother became sick and passed away within the year. Despite her few outgoings with her mom, she was still her mother and she had loved her. When her mother passed she was about to marry the man her mother had picked out for her as her last wish even though she had only met him a couple of times and under the supervision of her parents. However, World War sprung up and the man was recruited to the military. She was then left alone with her father as the wedding plans were put on hold, if the man did return home safely. She saw more woman joining the army as nurses and doctors, so she enlisted to be a nurse. She lived through the harsh conditions of the war; though at the end of the war an flu epidemic spread and she contracted it as she cared for patients. She fell ill, still caring for patients however but became too ill to anymore and then passed away a few days later. SHINIGAMI Shiro found herself in one of the middle districts of the Rukongai. She took on the appearance of a woman in her later 20s, though her hair was a gray color. She wandered around, finding a place to eat they offered her some food since they had never seen her around and figured that she was a new soul. Chiyo soon got used to the place and made a name for herself. Something inside of her told her to help people and one day someone was in a sword fight and was injured she rushed over to them to stop the bleeding. The man thanked her, though he was blown away by her beauty. He offered her a place to stay and then she found out he was part of a gang. Chiyo soon joined them. Though, the men seemed to have an appetite for women... one night one of the men in the gang came to her room, she told him to get out but he was forceful. He had his sword with him and she drew it from its sheath, it was a bit off in her hands but it almost felt normal. He thought she wouldn't hurt him and tried to disarm her. However she fought back, slicing him in the lower abdomen. She then left stumbling through the night, blood on her kimono. A maniacal glint in her eye. She stumbled through the districts, finally finding a river to wash herself in. She wandered from district to district after that. Hearing about Shinigami who had special sort of powers and whom protected the city. She enrolled in the academy after learning about it some more and deciding to join. During the academy as she learned how to wield a sword she became one of the best with swords in her class; though at times she did not know how to hold back. She also tended to study a lot and liked to learn. She only had a few friends. but was rather isolated. She graduated a few years later and was selected for the 12th Division. When she first entered the division she was mainly doing duties such as cleaning and stuff, never taking part in experiments and research... so she decided to do research herself. She picked up books from the library, while also learning more about her zanpakuto.. the soul whom resided inside of her sword. However, Shiro soon advanced through the ranks. She did some research on hollows out in the human world and took a knack to dissecting them before sending their souls off. She couldn't entirely do an experiment on hollows since it was a bit inhumane, they had once been human souls after all. However, she always seemed to want to to dissect, research and experiment on just about anything she could get her hands on. But, her knowledge and research skills were key in her finally becoming 3rd seat in her division, though it took years. Shiro is often known as a kind and caring scientist of the 12th division, though in battle she is bit ruthless. And has a small maniacal side when she gets well into an experiment..
