If there’s work to be done the captain will surely handle the business, albeit with a little griping about the actual task. He’s rather trustworthy, willing to do whatever is asked of him by those who place their trust on his shoulders. Yusuke’s got a tongue that spits venom, though usually the truth as he appears to be a man of honesty. His eye is ever so vigilant, never missing a beat of anything that’s going on around him. While rude, loud, and seemingly angry as all hell, Yusuke is actually somewhat liked by those around him; the man is able to make an ally just about anywhere he goes. EXTRA |

HISTORY
Some would find Yusuke’s past to be both average and hazy at the same time. Having been around the Seireitei for some many years, none have known the man to hold any positions of distinction before the war. From a bit of research one would find him to have been born and raised in one of the more dangerous outer districts, though how he managed to make it out of the districts or even make it into the Shinigami Academy remain a blur. If asked about where he came from or what he’d done up until his time as a Shinigami, Yusuke would just shrug the question as if it brought out some kind of painful memory.
After having been admitted into the squads, Yusuke served with the Nanabantai for several years, doubling as a member of the Kidousho. His skill in kidou was sub-par at best and the man completely managed to blend into the background. Some Shinigami comment that if not for his background records they wouldn’t have even known he was a part of the squad. It wasn’t until after the Slashing Opera when the guy truly began to stand apart from the crowds.
Post-war, Yusuke began to actually show face and people began to actually learn his name. The man who faded in the back of life had suddenly sprung to the frontlines of everyone’s thoughts. Squad members began to laugh and joke with the guy as if he’d been there all along. He’d blend in with the squad so well that they’d even taken to promote him to lieutenant. His seat as lieutenant didn’t last long though as the Juubantai Taicho had fallen in battle during the war. Seeing the opportunity to lead, Yusuke took the captain proficiency test which allowed him to take the reins of the squad. While many have forgotten how Yusuke seemingly popped out of nowhere, a handful of soldiers still manage to question the soldier’s mysterious background.
