ZONA POLVORIENTAZona Polvorienta, or the Dust Bowl, is the name of the massive region of the land chosen by Nabil to reign over. It is roughly 1.269 million square miles in size, or the size of India. A solid sixteenth of the population of El Renacimiento lives here.Unlike many other regions, Zona Polvorienta is something akin to a hellish waste. It is a massive bowl, with the deepest point being three hundred miles below the average surface of Hueco Mundo. Massive mountains of marble and quartz tower up to five hundred miles above the edge, standing as large, brutal knives. Within the valleys and over the hills rages a constant sandstorm, giving the region its name. Only the strongest hollow and arrancar are capable of surviving the cutting winds and pelting sands of these storms. Most weaker souls that enter are blown away and turned into the same maelstrom of ash that claimed their lives. In order to live here, hollow and arrancar live within the cavernous mountains or underneath the shifting dunes and wind-swept flats. Tunnels as long as highways connect massive colonies. In order to sustain the people, in the middle of each highway is a massive arena. In these arenas, any hollow that meet are required to fight to the death as per law of Nabil Ggodsent. This keeps the population down, as well as promotes the cannibalism needed to push El Renacimiento’s society forward.Though most regions are more civilized, the citizens of Zona Polvorienta are known to be the most violent. The harsh land has bred a harsh people, and underneath the constant pressure of the Primera Espada, these people have become one of the strongest armies ever seen. Often times, the army of the Zona has been called la Tormenta Luna, or the Moonstorm. This moniker owes its name to the fact that when a pack of hollows from the Zona sweep over a target, its like a sandstorm underneath the moon, impossible to defeat or kill.Nabill Ggodsent himself lives in an inconspicuous mountain wreathed in the constant storms of his land. Here his fraccion live within the caves as well, constantly training and meditating. There are no tunnels that connect to this mountain. Nabill keeps it this way on purpose. Only his fraccion are allowed to communicate with him openly, and in order to become one, a soul must travel through the sandstorms to find his abode. Many have died trying, while only a handful have ever succeeded.
